I've had serious back issues for years and have spent a lot of time and money searching for the right mattress. I've purchased a Temperpedic mattress as well as an Intillibed (both of which are about twice the price of the purple mattress) and still been in significant pain and discomfort. I still have some discomfort with the purple mattress, but it is much less and I'm thrilled with the results. I wish I'd found the purple mattress years ago.

My body thanks me in the morning when I wake up. I function better and my overall performance has improved from being able to sleep longer thru the night without tossing and turning like I did on my old memory foam mattress. I see why people spend money for good sleep.

I am very happy so far. I do wake up with a sore neck and headache so I believe it is a pillow issue. Still testing it out before making a decision. My boyfriend says his shoulders are sore but he still wants to give the bed some time before making a decision as well.

Much to my dismay, my wife was swayed by the clever marketing and hype surrounding the Purple mattress. Because there is a 100 day money-back no pressure, no commitments trial and free shipping, I agreed to the trial. I figured that we would quickly see that all of the hype was inflated at best. I expected a glorified air bed or run-of-the-mill memory foam. I was quite surprised by the fun little purple burrito that was delivered to my door. Even more surprising was the fact that the Purple mattress is ready for sleeping as soon as you release it from its cocoon. It does not need any time to acclimate to it's new surroundings. It does not require training or affirmation. It simply does its job straight outta Compton. This is not the millennial mattress that I expected. The first night was a blur. I remember laying down and then waking up the next morning. I'm not sure if the Purple mattress is soaked in lavender or if it truly does live up to the hype. I assume that magic sleep spell expires after 10 years. Seriously, a 10 year warranty on a mattress!? This is unbelievable! Am I buying into the hype? Sure, I'm much more alert during the day because I'm sleeping all the way through the night without tossing and turning. Yes, the Purple mattress fully supports me and feels great. For the first time ever, I can sleep on my back without feeling the need to turn over for more comfort. Why is my favorite color now purple? What are the long-term affects of the Purple mattress? The real test will be the 3,651 night. I'll let you know...

We've had our Purple mattress for about a month now and absolutely love it! My wife and I both used to wake up sore and not well rested but those days are gone. We recently took a trip and stayed at a hotel and wow, was it uncomfortable! This is the most comfortable (and affordable!) mattress we have ever had. HIGHLY recommended!

This is a nice mattress, however, I'm only 115 pounds. It's a little on the firm side. It definitely does not sink into your body. It only does where there is pressure. My boyfriend is 300 pounds and he says he does not have hip or shoulder pain... my opinion, for light weight people you may want a softer mattress. It's very firm where there is no pressure. I am considering returning this and trying a softer foam mattress. Company is great and mattress is good quality.

After my last "plush" mattress developed a huge divot after only 4 years I knew I had to get rid of it. I had been having chronic lower back pain for at least 6 months before I finally ordered the Purple. Between reading all the reviews and the free trial I had nothing to lose. The first night on the bed I woke up to my back literally spasming out- I'll admit it was not my best night of sleep but I woke up with nearly all of my back pain GONE. At first the mattress did feel a little firm to me but I believe that was actually just a thing called "support", something my old mattress had absolutely NONE of. As more and more nights passed my sleep got better and better and now I sleep all the way through the night and my only trouble is getting out of the bed in the morning. I wanted to share this story because if you're like me and you have a mattress that doesn't support you like it should, the purple is going to feel borderline weird to you at first. But that initial feeling of "on the mattress, not in it" is a great thing.. and after a week or so your body will be totally in sync with the purple mattress. Give it a shot, and give your body a chance to adapt to your new mattress.. you'll be so glad you did. Also I've seen some things about "depending on how heavy you are...", I'm 155lbs and I find that I sink exactly where I should and the rest of me is fully supported. Thanks Purple, you truly have an amazing product!!

Honestly nothing more comfortable than this matress! Even when sleeping with someone sometimes your arm falls asleep as a guy and so far that has never happened! So comfortable I can't wait to get into bed at night. Even worse is trying to get out in the morning! Worth every penny and more!

Certain positions (more on one's stomach) tend to put strain on ligaments in the legs because there isn't enough weight to have the feet contact the mattress well. Maybe this goes away with the mattress breaking in some? Otherwise, feels like a "real bed", because of the responsiveness of the top layer.

I can't say enough about how this mattress has affected my life. I had so many issues related to sleep including insomnia, lack of energy, and aches and pains. For me all of these issues were fixed within the first week of using this mattress and now in week three the benefits of the quality sleep just keep adding up. It's so nice to wake up in the morning and not feel run down and sore. Even if I only have time for six hours of sleep I wake feeling fully refreshed and ready for the day. It's hard to describe the feeling of sleeping on the grid but it's like your body is being supported perfectly and there is no sensation of something pushing back up on your body. I am a multi position sleeper and this mattress excels for every position. Add to all of this the fact that the Purple customer support has been among the best I have experienced from any company and I just can't see ever owning another mattress. I wish I would have made the move to purple sooner.
