At first, I wasn't sure because it is "softer" than my last memory foam mattress. However, after a month I realize it is not softer, just more moldable. No pressure point pain when I sleep on my side. And no back muscle pain because the mattress did not allow my body to fully relax.

We love our new purple mattress. We went for the original king sized mattress and it's been a dream. Fast delivery. So easy to unpack and set up. The whole experience was great. I am a back/side sleeper and I haven't been tossing/turning as much and on nights when I don't get as many hours of sleep I still feel really rested. We would definitely recommend and purchase from purple again.

My wife and I bought this mattress after our old mattress started keeping us up tossing and turning in the night. The purple was easy to unpack and set up. After you open the packaging, it rapidly expands from being compressed. It only takes a minute or two, and its completely ready to go. The cover on the mattress is way soft! You can feel the purple hyperelastic polymer that makes up the top "grid-feeling" layer. I can definitely feel how it absorbs your heavier pressure points, while the lower memory foam layers help to act as a solid support for the other regions of your body that need to be supported. Another thing I love about the purple mattress is the fact that it is SILENT when you crawl into bed. Other mattresses make creeking or spring noises, but this one doesn't make a peep! Overall, this is a fantastic mattress that I would recommend!

The purple mattress is magic! I have never been in a bed so soft/hard (the perfect combination). I have never left a review for something in my whole entire life BUT..... I felt the need to leave a comment. Purple mattress made this whole process so easy, I ordered it a week before Christmas and they still got it to me in a timely manner. I think they must be the devil because this is witch craft! Thank you so much for making my gift so great, you guys are AMAZING!

I am still amazed I can get in bed and feel comfortable immediately. I used to spend 30-60 minutes (minimum) just trying to get my muscles to relax enough to let me get to sleep. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night or early morning with hip pain that was easier to deal with if I got out of bed. I did have hip pain the first night on the Purple Mattress and just a slight shift in position eased the pressure and let me fall asleep again. I have discovered I can rest in almost any position on this mattress. It distributes weight in a way that does not cause or make pain worse. Most of the time I feel less pain when I wake up. I have tried memory foam mattresses and one overlay. The memory foam mattress was comfortable but I would overheat and found it hard to just turn over. I felt like I had to get myself out of the body impression in the mattress and by then I was wide awake again. Not a good option for a light sleeper. The memory foam overlay was a disaster! I thought I was trying to sleep in a Toxic fume field. I read (or heard?) that the Purple Mattress had a light nutty odor if you even noticed it at all. I noticed it as soon as I unzipped my mattress. I could still smell it the first night but was able to sleep as long as I kept my head on a pillow or put an extra couple layers of sheets between my head and the mattress. I rarely notice the smell after several weeks. I had my mattress on the floor until a few days ago though so it may not have aired out as quickly as it would have on a bed frame. Risky to spend the money on a mattress that you don't get to try out first. This was totally worth the risk. Great Mattress!

I intentionally waited to write this review until I had several nights under my belt. Previous to this purchase my wife and I purchased tempurpedic products. In fact, 2 months ago we received our rhapsody luxe tempurpedic mattress at our South Carolina home. I was interested in trying something else, so I ordered the purple King. It has not disappointed. The comfort of the purple mattress cannot be beat. Its top layer is soft and comfortable, backed with 2 other layers of foam to give firmness when it counts. I am so invested in this mattress, I have convinced my coworkers and parents to give it a try! Great investment, fantastic comfort! I WILL BUY AGAIN!!!

Okay, first off, I LOVE the mattress. It is unbelievable. This could be a problem with me, but I have a problem sleeping on my left side. I usually sleep on my right side, but on old beds, I've had no problem sleeping on either side. On the purple, it is hard for me to get comfortable on my left. Any recommendations?

I spend almost 3000 at matress firm thinking I found the matress for me... After 30 days I was still not satisfied and then I found purple (on a Facebook newsfeed of all things). I have to admit the egg test was what got me curious. I returned the matress to matress firm and got myself a purple matress and all I can say is wow! I'm sooo comfortable sleeping on this bed. And yes I did the raw egg test at home and it didn't crack at all. One top of comfort, this matress was extremely affordable in comparison to the matress firm matresses. I love my purple matress and will continue to refer my friends and family!

I was skeptical that the Purple mattress could possibly live up to it's hype. I have serious back issues and arthritis throughout my body. I spent years clinging to my waterbed afraid of what I'd be able to find to replace it. The first mattress I tried was a very thick memory foam mattress. I hated it. I could barely climb onto the bed and once there, I would "stick" unable to turn from one position to another. I threw it out and spent miserable months on an old fashioned mattress. The Purple mattress is perfect for me. It's just the right thickness, it is soft as a cloud, yet supports my body, and I can easily flip and flop to my heart's desire. I actually sleep all through the night - a veritable miracle - and wake up not quite pain free, but darn close. I absolutely love it.

I want to love it, but I'm still waiting on my return from previous foundation. They were very accommodating after jumping thru hoops and persistence on my end. Don't count on other manufactures sheets fitting snug, this and previous purple mattress are 2" shy on length and 2" shy on width. Not something I absolutely can't live without. Not awful but not amazing. Not sure what other helpful info I can provide.
