Once I got this bed, It took a few nights to adjust to this bed after getting rid of my old pillow top. The bed definitely supports all areas of my body that my old mattress did not do. The firmness level is more on the firm side but not to bad and from being on a pillow top for years, I don't mind it and got use to it and it's quite lovely. After getting getting use to the bed, I no longer toss and turn and I'm out like a light. I'd say if there is one thing now that hurts when I wake up it's my neck. (Old pillows). My body though is in a deep sleep and I started dreaming again. Weird.... Anyways, try this bed. It's pretty awesome.

I've been playing with the idea of getting a purple for quite awhile and finally decided to take the leap with the hopes that, if I did not like the bed, the return process wouldn't be too much of a hassle. So glad I never had to find that out for myself because so far this bed has been AMAZING! I have sciatica and my old mattress definitely aggravated it and my sleep quality was rather poor, but I'm relieved to say that the purple worked for me! I've only had it a few weeks, but so far I've woken up pain free and feeling refreshed every time. I hope it lasts me a good long time. Love it!

Cons: Not as plush as memory foam. Texture is still a bit strange to feel with my hands. Objects tossed onto the mattress are liable to bounce off instead of sinking in, again because it is not soft and squishy like other mattresses. Pros: Good sleep. Firm, bouncy and supportive when your body is actually on it.

For months I've wanted to buy a Purple mattress, to improve the quality of my sleep. But, due to the cost factor, I opted for something else instead. That something else made my sleep quality even worse, and I ended up spending many nights in my recliner rather than in my bed in order to get a whole night's sleep. I got refunded for the other mattress and ordered a Purple, regardless of the extra cost. Good sleep is too important to skimp on! (Wish I'd have employed that philosophy first!) My Purple finally arrived 2 days ago (delayed by TS Cristobal) and even though I was exhausted already when I got home, I went ahead and set it up. Best decision I ever made! For the first time in months I spent the entire night in my bed, actually asleep! When I woke up yesterday morning, my feet didn't hurt, my neck and shoulders didn't hurt, my arms were not numb. Last night, same thing. I tell you, the difference an uninterrupted night's sleep makes is astounding! I'm more clear-headed, less grumpy, and have more energy. I waited a little while before making my review because I really wanted to test it. I've had it for a few months now and I love it! So comfortable! I sleep on my side and my shoulder doesn't hurt in the morning with the Purple mattress like it used to with my old mattress. I have trouble sleeping anywhere else but my home now. I never want to leave my Purple mattress!

I'm known to toss and turn a lot at night, and it used to keep me from really getting any sort of good sleep. But after having my purple for a little awhile those problems are gone! I sleep through most nights and I dread getting out of bed in the morning, good thing I work from home!

My husband and I have been sleeping on a regular, pillow top, spring queen size mattress for the first few months of our marriage. Decided to upgrade to a king and had SO MANY friends/family recommend a Purple mattress. We did research on the different "kinds", basic, hybrid, etc. we both are "gym" goers and didn't think we'd need the extra support of the springs that's in the hybrid purple mattress. We decided on the basic purple mattress and it has been a dream so far! You can feel it forming to your body curves when you lay down (on back, side or stomach!). It's easy to sit on the side of the bed to put socks or shoes on without it compressing down. You can also feel a "cooling" effect from the mattress, which is awesome if you're a "hot sleeper". We absolutely love this mattress and are very happy with our decision!

I replaced my sleep number bed because no matter what setting it was on, it was uncomfortable! I love the Purple bed! I actually look forward to going to be now, and wake up with no aches and pains anymore! The combo of firmness and cushioning is just perfect! And customer service is excellent!

The mattress is very thin so if you are heavier, this mattress won't work. It's very comfortable for the thickness that it is, just not thick enough to provide enough cushion so that heavier sleepers don't feel the frame through the mattress. I'm sure it would be great for a moderate sized person, my partner and I are 250lbs and 325lbs for reference. It doesn't seem to retain a lot of heat which is nice. Order experience - order placed on 7/3 and arrived 7/29 with no emails regarding delayed ship time. Customer service was BEYOND nice and helpful with updates, just frustrating that I had to call to inquire about it. Headboard and frame didn't ship together as they were allegedly supposed to, so I also waited a little longer for the frame but still even longer for the mattress. Every item gets a separate in-home trial and that was not advertised enough before check-out. We are returning this mattress and upgrading so hopefully Purple will work for us if we find the right bed!

My wife is Category I Obese and has fibromialgia. She is a side sleeper and is quite curvy. Even with the 4" if purple material the mattress does not give enough and she finds the mattress impossible to sleep on without 3" of additional foam layered on top.
