Initially I purchased this mattress because of back issues, for both myself and my spouse. We were tired of tossing and turning most of the night due to joint pain and getting up every day feeling like a cripples. Purchased the Purple Mattress and bed frame. At first it did what it promised. Supported the back and we woke with little or no pain. For the first 8 months. I'm a 250 pound, 6 foot 2 inch, male. My spouse is 5 foot 11 inches and weighs around 200 pounds (190 to 205 depending). It's been almost exactly one year since we purchased this mattress and there are two very visible hollows in it fitting the shape of our bodies, not much different from the 12 plus year old spring mattress this replaced. Also the tossing and morning pain is back. This mattress didn't even make it one year. Certainly not worth the cost. In addition, it weighs a ton! UPS guy couldn't even get it into the house. Barely got it out of the truck. We watched him roll it out (crashing onto the street) and then roll it up on the sidewalk. By the time I got to the front door to help, he had rang the bell and then hurried back to the truck and drove away! Had to call my early 30's son-in-law and it took him, and his body building friend, to get it inside the house. Had to hire someone to get it upstairs and set it up. Over the long hall, this product did not live up to the cost, or the hype.

We not only love our mattress but we are so happy with the service we got in trying to choose which style was the best fit for us. She was so helpful and relatable to us while purchasing our mattress we couldnt be happier with the choice she made for us.

My first night on the Purple mattress was absolutely awful. I was coming from a pillow top with a 2 inch memory foam topper. It wasn't uncomfortable at first, but I woke up with a lot of back pain. Over the first week that pain gradually decreased until I sleep better now than I did then. Best of all, for me, is that my wife's chronic back pain from our other mattress has cleared up on the Purple. We both get a great night's sleep every night now. Thank you Purple!

I'm giving. The purple mattress a 4/5 simply due to the first few days where my body had not adjusted and I would wake up with minor back and hip pains. But now that I have been sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks my body has grown to love it. I can come home from a 12+ hour shift with every muscle in my back and legs steaming at me, then wake up with no pain and feeling fully refreshed.

I ordered the original purple mattress in a queen size, the slate grey sheet set, the platform base, the mattress protector, and the pillow. The pillow was on back order so I'm still waiting on it (they let me know when I ordered what to expect so no problem there) I set everything up and slept in it last night so far so good. From what I was reading it'll take a few days for my body to adjust but already after one night I can few the difference between this bed and my old innerspring. So itll probably only get better. For just over $1500 shipped I feel like I got a good deal and a mattress that will last every bit of the 10 year warranty they offer. I highly recommend this bed and I'll update my review when I get my pillow and sleep on this bed for a few months. So far so good

I am someone who deals with constany lower back and hip pain for someone in their 20s. This is the only mattress I have slept on that does not make the pain worse; in fact, I have no issues with pain at all with this product. I wake up and it surprises me that the pain is not caused by my mattress anymore. Worth every penny I spent on the Purple mattress, and I recommend to everyone I talk to.

My wife and I have been sleeping on a Serta iComfort for about 5 years now - it was "soft" and "Comfy" since day one, but after the first couple years I began waking up with a sore lower back and shoulders. My wife and I decided it was time for a change, and we researched all of the popular mattresses on the market as of now (summer 2019). After trying out the Tuft and Needle, Serta, Tempurpedic, and Necter - we settled on the Original Purple. After the very first night, I no longer wake up sore, and neither of us move around overnight any more! You never realize how bad it was until you try something new - and Purple is truly different!

Now, this is a nice mattress and all, I love how it feels. But it changed my life in another way. My wife has terrible sleep apnea, and I'm no scientist but sleeping on this mattress has nearly eliminated her apnea. I have slept this good since before I got married. Thank you Purple!

I want to thank you for some of the best nights of my life! I have Cronic back pain. And for the past 26years I have woken up in the middle of the night in pain. My husband and I love the Purple mattress! I put a lot of research into something that would work for both of us. Site after site, I kept returning to Purple, and I'm so glad I did. My husband is always hot, but since we've gotten our mattress, he hasn't once complained about the heat! We both are sleeping like we did before we had children! Truly love this mattress!
