I'm in my 40's and I have had a hip replacement. My husband purchased this bed hoping it would be more comfortable for me than our pillowtop mattress. I'm happy we kept our old one. This is the hardest bed I've ever slept in! I've been sleeping on the couch since we got it. Which btw the shipping took 3 weeks! When it should've been 3-5 days! I will be asking for a refund today. Please come collect your mattress.

We absolutely love our Purple Mattress. I was having a lot of back pain. To the point where I was unable to sleep in the same bed as my husband. I was seeing a chiropractor and they suggested I get a new bed. My brother has a purple mattress. We decided to try it out and we're so glad we did. I sleep through the night now. No longer tossing and turning. My back doesn't hurt in the mornings when I wake. We are so glad we bought a Purple Mattress

This mattress has improved our sleep incredibly. At first we didn't use the purple sheets due to the delay in getting them. But once we received them, we started using them and that improved the comfort of the mattress even more. We love it! I definitely suggest buying the sheets!

I've been a fan of purple mattress since the Kickstarter days when all I could afford was the purple pillow, which I still use and love. Just moved to a new apartment and splurged on the mattress, and I'm so glad I did. There's no need to break the mattress in as it was so comfy from Day 1. It seriously feels like I'm sleeping on clouds. I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning which can be a problem... I highly recommend the purple mattress to everyone! We spend 1/2 our lives sleeping so why not make sure you're taking care of your body? Oh, and delivery arrived 1 week earlier than expected which was a nice surprise!

Ive been having severe back pain then decided to get this mattress. I am not fond of spending money but this was 100% worth it. Squishy and comfy. I love it. Plus its made my boyfriends attitude improve. Who knew a good nights sleep actually makes you a better person.

I dig anything that's approaches life in a less than status quo way. I very much like the idea of avoiding springs for a more supported feel. If I ever have to upgrade to a larger mattress in the future, it will be a purple mattress once more. A suggestion might have if that if I order a Charcoal bed frame, the legs should be grey or black to match, not brown.

The purple bed is as good as ever. Had a first generation king and this bed holds up to the standards. There were cheaper beds but you can't argue when you know the quality of a bed. The foundation moved very easy on hard wood floors so you need something to stop the moving. The pillow and other features are good.

Upon reading the numerous positive reviews, my partner and I were excited to try the Purple mattress. The company promised a firm enough bed for stomach and back sleepers, and a soft enough bed for side sleepers. The mattress was easy to roll up onto our bed. It has a rather low profile. I believe its slimmer than an average mattress, so it sits lower to the ground. When you sit on it, you'll sink in quite a bit. I can't sit on it for longer than five minutes, as my lower back begins to ache. When you lay on it, it becomes noticeably firmer. It's firm throughout most of your body, but allows your shoulders, knees, and feed to sink in a bit. It's rather comfortable. It keeps cool, too. I began wearing pajama pants again. But I have not been able to get a good night's sleep all the way through. I've tested for 7 weeks now, which is a reasonable long sample size. But I toss and turn throughout the night. When I wake up in the morning, my body is very tight, especially my legs. I can usually stretch by touching down to the floor while standing up, but after sleeping on this mattress, I can only get past my kneecaps. The final verdict for me is that this mattress is just not firm enough. It does not provide enough support for my body. For reference, I'm 5'11", 175 lbs. I wanted to love this mattress. Unfortunately, we're going to be requesting a refund soon.

My posture feels so much better since getting this bed. My sleep has improved ten fold. I actually feel like I have more energy throughout the day and get this, I'm a huge snorer and I stopped completely. My girlfriend thinks its due to the purple pillows. You used to hear me sleeping and now ya dont. Incredible!

While we did not end up keeping our mattress, as it was not quite right for us, Purple was a great company to use. We live in rural MT and our mattress was delivered right to our door. Instead of returning the mattress to Purple, we were able to donate it to a local charity AND get our full refund. This is a great way to go since our mattress will now be able to go to a family in need instead of in a landfill. Thank you Purple for the great customer experience even though we did not end up keeping our bed.
