I would have given this mattress 5 stars, but it took me a while to get used to the firmness of the mattress. I typically like a little softer mattresses since I sleep on my side a lot. This mattress hurt my shoulder many times when sleeping on my side initially. It may just be my body type. I am a physically fit 6 foot male. After adjusting to the mattress I love it and have slept great. My girlfriend loves the mattress very much. She would rate the mattress at 5 stars as she has slept perfectly since the first night we got it. Overall great, just firmer than expected.

This mattress was not a true queen. It's about 3-4 inches narrower and several inches shorter. I couldn't figure it why I kept bumping into my sleep partner, we've always had a queen. So I measured it, sure enough, it's NOT a queen. They said they'd contact (email) me after I complained, I'm still waiting, but now that's it paid off I'm sure they don't care. I'm going back to sleep number!

This is coming from someone who has stacked mattress toppers up for a bed for several years now, so anything from there is up! But, the Purple mattress is great. I use it on the floor. It's a little too heavy for me to drag to a different room if my apt. neighbors are too noisy, but that's what makes it a good bed. I kept my Therapedic topper because there is no place to roll it up and store it and it makes a nice addition. It fits my old sheets and that is good. Would I recommend it--absolutely! It is heavy so you will need some muscles to help with if you're like me, but I imagine it will be the last mattress I will ever buy.

Purchasing the Purple mattress (AND PILLOWS!) was the best thing my boyfriend and I could have done for ourselves. Our original mattress (standard box spring and mattress) wasn't even that old, but man, we woke up sore and tired and cranky all the time. Finally, I was like "we're trying the purple mattress" - signed on, ordered it, had loads of fun unwrapping it and watching it inflate up! Then proceeded to get some of the BEST nights of sleep we've ever had, no joke. Let me tell you. I'm a side sleeper. Back sleeper. Stomach sleeper. One knee up by my face sleeper. Diagonal sleeper. Covers on. Covers off. One pillow. Two pillows. No pillow. This goes on and on, all night, every night - UNTIL PURPLE. I lay down, I go to sleep, I wake up feeling FANTASTIC. I've never understood what "sleeping like a rock" meant until my first few nights on Purple. And the pillow is AMAZING. We got the base for the bed as well, and just the simple pleasure of having ACTUAL under bed space, because it's as high off the ground as the mattress would be with a boxspring - WITHOUT it, it just a really great added bonus. SPEAKING OF ADDED BONUS, we got the Purple Seat Cushion free with our order. At first when I saw that I was like "eh, cool, whatever" - now, let me tell you, I'm at my desk a MINIMUM of 10 hours a day - I work a full-time job as a support rep, a part-time job as a project manager, and I'm working on my bachelors online. I spend A LOT of time in my desk chair - and honest, this cushion is saving my back, ****, posture - all of it. Would, 100% and then some, recommend all the purple products. ESPECIALLY the seat cushion if you spend a lot of time on your rear! We've even backed the pet beds on Kickstarter! WE LOVE YOU, PURPLE!!

The mattress is fantastic, however, when I ordered it mine took almost 4 weeks to ship and the day I got it my roommate ordered the same one and got his within a week and was also given a free seat cushion. If I wasn't already so happy with my mattress I would have been more upset about that fact.

The Purple literally changed every aspect of my life. I feel well rested each night and fall asleep and stay asleep with no problems. I have bad anxiety falling asleep and used to wake up multiple times during the night tossing and turning. Since sleeping on the purple mattress I have slept soundly through the night every single night.

I wanted to love this mattress but, unfortunately, it wasn't what I was expecting. I constantly woke up with back pain and stiffness-- just didn't provide the pressure relief I was looking for. It almost felt like I was floating, but it didn't sink in where it needed to. Note: 3 people have tried this mattress: 2 (including me) weighs around 110-120 lbs, 1 weighs 180 lbs. Only the 180 lb friend felt like this mattress supported him well.

After reading all these great reviews, I was super excited for my bed to come in. Unfortunately both my husband and I are waking up with lower back pain. It started day one. We will wait it out at least the full month but I'm not optimistic that we will be keeping this mattress.

They thought their mattress was fine. I got this for them and after the second night they realized they had no clue how uncomfortable their old mattress was. I have a purple myself and its amazing. Sometimes I sleep at their house when they travel to take care of the dog. It was 50% a selfish gift but they love it now and welp it was an easy find for a Christmas gift.

My wife and I are huge fans of this bed! We are also huge fans of the people who purple has partnered with to advertise this bed... that's what got us to try it. The commercials where so fun and we trust those in them. Anyway, purple has lived up to all our wildest imaginations. It is such a cool feeling to wake up in exactly the same position as when you fell asleep. That had never happened to me before. I was a major roller. Glad we made this investment while we are still young!
