We have had the original purple mattress now for about a year. We were very excited because of all the reviews and that it said it was great for all sleep types. My husband is a stomach or back sleeper. I'm a side sleeper. He loves it! Me, not so much. Too firm. He was sweet and gave into a 2" gel topper. Much better!

I love this new mattress and have recommended it to my cousin too. We both have FSHD, a type of muscular dystrophy, and our bodies get out of alignment and it is a struggle to move once in bed. This Purple mattress resolved that. I am more than satisfied with this purchase. Now I only need to save more money to buy more sheets, awesome too.

I haven't quite decided if I want to keep it or not. A lot of the reviews talked it up so much and I would hope the price would be justified in the long run with longevity of the mattress but as far as comfort goes it is definitely more comfortable than my worn out mattress but it isn't the amazing experience that people were describing in the reviews. The tool that it comes with for opening is horrible and went straight into the mattress cover. Once it is open call all of your friends for help if you need to move it because it is incredibly heavy and awkward to move around. So floppy when trying to move it. It is more firm than soft which isn't want I was expecting at all, as far as comfort goes it hasn't made me say "Oh this is comfortable" yet but it hasn't made me think it was uncomfortable. I was expecting it to be softer though. I am going to give it more time before I make up my mind on it.

The mattress is definitely a game changer, I'm a side sleeper and I run hot when I fall asleep, so the purple mattress is perfect for me in 2 ways one it's very comfortable to sleep on my side on this mattress and it does not hurt my shoulders or neck to sleep in this position all night and because the design I don't over heat even though the mattress supports my side sleeping position. Customer service is also very kind, proffesional and responsive when I've had the need to get in touch with them. We're still very happy with our purple mattress.

We took the plunge for a CalKing Purple Mattress after comparing to traditional, memory foam, and Casper mattresses (One of our sons bought both Purple and Casper to compare, and now the Casper is in the guest room while the Purple's in the master bedroom. Another son beat us to getting his Queen Purple based on his brother's recommendation.). What we learned is that there is no comparison - The Purple Mattress wins, heads down! I'm a 150lb guy with back pain (sciatica). I purchased the mattress, the cover and sheets. The sheets are extremely flexible and soft, the protector hasn't been put to test ;) but the matress is comfortable as nothing ever touched before. Perfect for my body and my back pain has reduced when I get off bed. It is firm but soft and so comfortable that doesn't make you turn at all. I'm tempted to try the pillow but not sure yet. The installation took a while because it IS heavy but it was easy to install. Best mattress I've ever had!!!

At first I was totally sleeping better than ever in years. He way the material feels I figured it wouldn't form any sleep spots or wear down. Lately a month later I am noticing I sink in further in certain areas and the sides of the bed are more firm. Also the more you weight the more you notice stuff through the mattress. A 130 lbs person would feel quite comfortable I'm sure but I'm 220. I'm starting to feel support beams and such.

First, I greatly enjoy this bed. It's comfortable, different than any mattress I've ever laid on and maintains a wonderful temperature. I'm also extremely happy that the back pain I've been experiencing for an embarrassingly long time is now gone. My only gripe is that I'm not a light person and I wish it was just ... maybe a bit over an inch thicker overall. Just enough that when I crawl into bed I'm not aware that I'm completely compressing the mattress. The frame (other than being kind of a pain to assemble by yourself) is very handy for under-bed storage. To get to my point, while no product is 100% perfect for everyone I am very satisfied with this bed.

As an arthritis sufferer this mattress has been the only one that allows me of full night's sleep without waking up sore and in pain. I would most definitely buy this again and highly recommend anyone with arthritis or diseases that affect your muscles and Joints to buy one of these mattresses.

We have had this mattress just over a week and we absolutely love it and are so happy we decided to purchase. We had purchased a new mattress before and it was just awful. We had wished we kept our old sucken pillow top one because it was so bad. So if you have any kind of joint pain, arthritis, anything, this is the mattress you need in you life.
