I needed a replacement mattress and decided to bundle for their frame. I do recommend getting their frame as it is very simple to set up (just need to screw in about 4 bolts, that's it), it has good height for storing personal goods underneight, and is quiet. The mattress doesn't get hot at all, even when my partner sleeps with me and is very comfortable and quiet. The setup was quick and the mattress truly was ready within minutes of unpackaging. The package itself when it was delivered was filthy from the truck, which is kind of upsetting, but it didn't hinder the process or affect the quality of the actual product, so I didn't care too much. My only recommendation is to add wheels to the frame. If I want to shift my bed, it is VERY difficult compared to frames with little wheels. I'm 23 and workout considerably and still find I have to put in a bit of technique and strength to move the frame with the mattress on it. Overall, very satisfied with the mattress. I'm not sure how the price compares as I haven't bought too many beds in my life, but It was worth the money so far and i've had it for a few weeks now.

Purple has incredible customer service! Also, Purple demonstrates a commitment to bettering the world by donating mattresses to charity if a customer doesn't want the mattress after trying it out. If you deciding whether to try the mattress out or not, do not hesitate! It is completely risk free and most people love it!

Bought the whole package. 2 twin XL's, power base, mattress protector.. Bed showed up at a reasonable time. 7-10 days I think. Power base took over a month to show up, then the delivery guys whined about taking my existing bed to another room. Have emailed Purple twice about being unhappy with zero response. I do not like the bed at all. The twin (XL) is not XL. it's 6" shorter than the twin XL's I did have. It slides all over the power base. My back hurts more than my old memory foam bed I had for 10 years. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the thing. Just the mattresses cause the power base is actually pretty cool. Then I'll have to wait however long to get reimbursed by Purple. If it's like the power base delivery time, it'll be 4-5 weeks after returning. The internet ads are phenomenal and I had high hopes for the bed. Spent a little over $4k all together to downgrade from a memory foam. Disappointed for sure. Be interesting now to see if Purple will step up to honor their own return policy and expedite it. Keep you posted.

My wife and I are baby boomers. We've slept on upper end coil spring mattresses for years. When the first 'memory foam" mattress came to the market, we ordered one. It was like sleeping on a gym pad. Disappointed (and sore) back we went to another good quality coil spring mattress and were comfortable with it for years. Now, much like us, this mattress became weak & saggy. Our sleep suffered and the morning aches and pains grew stronger. Clearly it was time to replace. I researched various mattress types and brands for about 3 months learning more about mattresses than I ever wanted to. Coil spring, gel foam, memory foam, hybrids, etc. - the whole list of opportunities. All claimed to be the most comfortable, best to support your body and durable. I really struggled with buying a mattress on the internet without trying it out in the store but after looking at the customer reviews and comments about customer service with the 100 night test we decided to give it try. Purple was the only truly unique product on the market and the only real new innovation in this industry in a lot of years. Still skeptical, I ordered one of the Purple chair cushions first and we all tried it out. The final determination was made when I set the cushion on our bed for a minute and our French bulldog instantly curled up on it and went to sleep. This dog is a professional sleeper so his endorsement was good enough for us. BTW- you folks at Purple might want to expand into the pet bed market next. I think you'd find a lot of pet-loving buyers there. I ordered a king mattress on Jan 1, 2017. Purple did communicate that they were backlogged with orders from Black Friday & the Holidays. I told my wife that such demand was a good thing because they are obviously selling a lot of units, many by word of mouth I assume from satisfied customers. They've only been in the mattress game for the last 12 months so I'm sure they are dealing with some growth issues. The mattress finally arrived Jan 19. Yes, it was heavy & bulky but it unpacked easily and instantly went to full size when unrolled. No wait, no odor- just instant bed! I had read some reviews that said it may take up to a week to get use to the feel of this new mattress but not for us. From night one- we absolutely LOVE this mattress. We are so impressed we ordered one for our son & his wife and they are anxious for it to arrive. I wrote this review because the vast majority of those I saw during my research were from younger folks and I just wanted to tell my fellow boomers & other more senior folks that this mattress is for us too. Purple cost is in the upper end for the 'mattress in the box via internet" market. Maybe one or two others more expensive and then you get to the whole Tempurpedic & Sleep Number thing costing what a small car would. I would argue that the Purple technology is what sets it apart from all of the others and is clearly worth the price (assuming it holds up). Bottom line- I absolutely recommend this mattress to anyone for who a good night's sleep is important!

Went from a queen to a king so that was a big difference, but even better is the comfort of the Purple mattress. We have had traditional and the sleep number air style. This mattress really provides support, is not too hard or two soft, but yes...just right. Both my husband and I agree it is very comfortable. We also like that there is room for the 2 dogs with us now and we cannot feel them moving and my husband cannot tell when I get out of bed to let the dogs out during the night. I did not notice a strong chemical smell either when we opened it up. I am very happy with the purchase!

I was in a motorcycle in 2012 and hadn't slept since fully since then. Until we got the purple. The 1st night I slept 9.5 hours. The next night the same. Almost a month later and I'm still sleeping like a baby. I couldn't have imagined the bed would work this well.

The whole process from buying to getting it was super easy. It's a heavy mattress and if you have to go up stairs with it you'll need a couple of really strong people. The setup was fairly easy but my cutter that was suppose to be by the zipper part was all the way on the other and I wasn't able to get to it. So I used scissors while watching a quick video. Now for the important stuff.... my L4 disc is degenerative and my L5 is an extremely large bulging herniated doak I have had Four shots over several years. My matches is really old so I did a lot of research and I basically went off of reviews of what people said they said that the purple mattress was one of the best that I've ever had. I also know some people personally that had purchased one. I love this mattress I get in and I get super comfortable I sleep soundly. My back pain has subsided considerably when sleeping. I really only have one issue I don't want to get out of bed in the morning it is so comfortable I just want to stay there all day.

I felt like I was beaten up for the first couple of days and that very next day 4-5 days in my lower back never felt better. I do a lot of walking at my job and when your back isn't hurting your mood is much better. Love the Purple mattress and although I am still waiting on my sheets, 4 weeks in, the mattress is still wonderful.

The mattress is AmaZing. We just need to buy the frame. We were trying to go through *Affirm but we got denied. :( SO SaD for the base we are using now does not do our Purple justice. We Will be Adding Purple Sheets, Weighted blanket, AND the Purple Pillows as Well. LOVE the product and LOVE the customer service. "EVERYONE" should Try Purple products. You will NOT be disappointed. I bought this mattress prior to hip replacement surgery, to replace a mattress I knew I wouldn't be comfortable on while recuperating. I'm normally not a back sleeper, but was aware that would be my only option for at least a few weeks. The mattress has been amazingly comfortable, and I'm very happy with it.
