We got the bed, just like anyone else. FedEx guy hauls it up to the door, knocks, and immediately leaves. There's a massive 110lb cylinder sitting outside. We were excited! After opening, which it was easy just as all the other reviews say, we slept that night like a dream. After about a week, my wife still hadn't gotten used to a more firm bed (6 out of 10 is a fair assessment), we like soft plush things usually. She actually said, I am not sure this bed is all its cracked up to be. Now well over a month of sleeping on it, we ave come to the conclusion that we have never slept better. This bed is heaven. Additionally, we have had a couple nights over the past month and a-half that we had to sleep on a different bed, and we slept awful. THIS BED IS SO WORTH IT.

I love it a lot except that i am a stomach sleeper. I waited for the new purple mattress to come out for so long, i could wait any longer and purhcased the original purple. It is amazing for back and side sleepers, as true to purple's word. Although it would have been awesome for my stomach sleeping, i truly cant complain. I love the mattress, the company, and the customer service. Two thumbs up!

I couldn't be more pleased with my mattress. I bought the king and, boy, was that baby heavy. When they say get a friend to help you, they mean it! My first night, I slept better than I have for a long time. I thought maybe it was because I was so tired from setting up that 144 lb monster, but I have had the same experience every night since. Customer service couldn't be better as well. There were issues with the delivery of other items, and Purple went above and beyond to rectify the situation to my satisfaction.

I am a side/ back sleeper and my husband is a stomach sleeper so it has been difficult to find a mattress that we both like. We both LOVE our Purple Mattress! And, I can't promise that this will happen for everyone, but my husband snores WAY less now, and when he does it's quieter/softer. It has to be the mattress because nothing else has changed recently! I already have trouble falling asleep, and his loud obnoxious snoring would always start right when I'm ready to finally fall asleep, but not anymore!

This was everything we promised. I am recovering from back surgery and my wife was pregnant at the time we purchased. We got twin xl and both have loved it. Past our 100 days and its still just as nice as when we bought it. I only wish they offered there sheets in another color than purple. Cause there sheets are awesome when it comes to temperature control

After looking at all of the advertisements for purple I decided to purchase the hybrid 2. The first week I woke up hurting feeling like I slept on the floor. After the 3rd week the mattress has gotten a little softer but I wake with a little pain. I'm willing to upgrade to the highest mattress they have and pay the difference just to give them another chance.

I was sleeping on an innerspring-memory foam hybrid mattress with a pillow top. It started sagging and getting obvious dips in the mattress in just a couple years. I started having extreme pain in my neck, shoulders, and eventually down my arms. I started going to a chiropractor for the pain. That helped some, but she recommended getting a new mattress. I researched for weeks. I liked the idea of having the mattress delivered to my door and was going back and forth between two when my boyfriend showed me Purple. It was different from everything else out there, so I decided to try it. I've been sleeping on my Purple mattress for a couple months now. It's difficult to describe the feel of the mattress. It's firmer than I'm used to, but soft at the same time. I don't sink down into the mattress. It seems to hug my body in all the right places for support. I never wake up hot like I used to, and I no longer have to go to the chiropractor. The pain is gone. My sleep seems to be deeper and more restful. I hope that it lasts longer than my last mattress, because as of right now, it's the best mattress I've ever had.

When I moved into my new apartment I went with a pillow top from a mattress clearance store at a comparable price. Big mistake. I had already been having some stiffness and occasional back pain on the mattress I had been sleeping on four previous years. As a large man (then 300lbs now 350lbs) mattresses tend to sink in some after time which negates any support/alignment. I was hoping to get three years out of my new mattress, however, I only got about 3 months out of it before I started experiencing daily back pain upon waking. It got so bad it started waking me up in the middle of my sleep. I could barely get out of bed most mornings. I was skeptical about buying a "bed-in-a-box" and from what I could tell after days of research didn't think they could hold up to my weight. Eventually it got so bad that I couldn't continue with the same mattress anymore. I looked at a few options and purple caught my eye again. I was hesitant because of a few reviews I had read previously about long delivery times and a lingering smell. Then I read a well written review by a fellow military veteran that just resonated with me. He carried weight also and could not seem to find a solution to morning back pain. Purple worked for him. I was desperate enough that I ordered my mattress right away. It actually arrived before the scheduled date and I got a free set of sheets to boot (surprisingly these are the best bed sheets I have ever had - don't wrinkle - stay taut and tucked!). There was no lingering smell from the mattress (I washed the sheets before putting them on the bed). I could tell that there was a difference fairly quickly. It only took a few nights for the stiffness to reside. One month later, I now wake up pain free. The mattress compressed a little bit under my weight (which I expected), but the nature of the top layer keeps me from actually sinking in and does exactly what it claims. It would be silly for me to say that this bed is the solution to your back pain because everyone is different. At my weight I have to be careful not to "plop" down because I can hit the supporting frame (a wooden platform type to keep the bed low to the ground). But when I lay down at night I no longer dread waking up and barely being able to stand let alone roll over to get out of bed. The technology behind the top layer is awesome. They send you a little sample that you can press on. When you put your finger down the only part that compresses or moves is directly under your finger. Thank you to the makers who thought to incorporate this into a mattress. I am forever grateful for my Purple mattress. Now for another peaceful nights sleep :)

The bed seems pretty comfortable, but we wish it were thicker. We like the pillows, but they are really heavy, which is weird when moving them around while getting ready for bed and while making the bed in the morning. Not crazy about the sheets as they are really stretchy. We actually have tried the fitted sheet on the bed and a regular top sheet to cover us. That seems more comfortable. The jury is still out on whether we are 100% satisfied with everything.

Being six months pregnant and sleeping on an old full sized bed, my husband and I knew it was time for an upgrade. Our previous bed was too soft and since I was confined to sleeping on my sides each night (normally I'm also a back sleeper) they would constantly go numb/ fall asleep, which was extremely uncomfortable. Since switching to the Purple, I haven't had this issue any more. It's a miracle! The Purple really does minimize the pressure points and allows for a comfortable snooze. Now if only the baby will let me sleep all through the night...
