Very hard, uncomfortable, you can feel the holes from the gel grid feels lumpy from the gel grid still wake up stiff with neck and back problems we put our old memory foam mattress topper on the mattress to make it comfortable wish I would have sent it back but was too heavy and didn't want to deal with moving it

So I'm almost going on 3 months into having switched to the purple mattress, I'm one who suffers from back issues (3 surgeries) and my last mattress even though moderately young 5 yrs old was causing me more discomfort then comfort, once I had my most recent surgery within the last 9 months my old mattress wasn't going to cut it any longer so I researched for a good while, and I decided to take the chance amd go with the Purple because it claimed it was the best of both soft & firm, and I'm here to say in that aspect Purple surpassed my expectations for the first couple of weeks my husband and I were like wow this is great! Then after about the first month amd a half my aches slowly crept back, but not to the extreme they once were. I don't believe it has anything to do with the Purple Mattress tho, more like its my issues with my back, I would and do recommend the Purple to anyone who asks for my input... my reasoning for rating 4 stars is nothing to do with the awesome product Purple provides, they live up to their claims 100%, I'm just difficult to rate something 5 stars. If you have back issues and are in doubt take the chance on the Purple the support for the back is awesome without sacrificing the comfy aspect of it.

The mattress feels incredibly comfortable and the quality of my sleep definitely improved as I feel more rested in the morning. However sleeping a full night is still challenging, mostly because of the time it's taking me to adjust to this new mattress. So no perfect sleep on first night for me!... The mattress cover somehow did help so i would recommends that people get it along with the mattress.

We just got a warranty replacement which was great for a week and I'm now back in serious pain. I guess it just isn't made for bigger people. I have a hard time spending a whole night in the bed. I e only been able to do it once in the past fortnight. The pain in the morning is just the worst.

Affordable, fantastic 0% financing... I'm such a fan. Delivery was quick and unboxing was so much easier than a traditional mattress it's not even funny! To add to that, it's possible that this is the best mattress I've ever slept on. My girlfriend definitely thinks so!

We were really excited to receive our bed, so we were frustrated by how long it took to receive, especially since we were billed shortly after placing the order. After receiving it, a few things (we have now slept on it for about 3 1/2 months): Pros: 1. It does live up to the no pressure point pain. In fact it is very impressive that ever since the first night, not once have we experienced any pressure point pain. 2. We think it is very comfortable for side sleeping and back sleeping though when I have tried to sleep on my stomach (which I know I shouldn't be) it isn't very comfortable. 3. We do get a good night's sleep on it. Cons 1. Frustrated with how short it compared to a typical king size mattress. The grid concept does not provide enough support for lower back pain. My husband and I both have lower back pain (disc problems and arthritis) and we were hopeful that the Purple mattress would be good for us and minimize our pain. We ordered the most expensive, top of the line mattress because we believed the grid system, with it's minimal pressure points, would help us. Unfortunately, our lower back pain has increased gradually over the 4 months we have had the mattress. Because it was a gradual increase in pain, we did not realize at our 100 day trial period deadline that this is not the mattress for us. We realized it at 150 days and Purple will not give us a refund. BEWARE they will not work with you if you pass the trial period, so if you get this mattress and have ANY doubt about it at 100 days, RETURN IT!

The massaging can be felt on both sides even if only one is on. you can't feel the height/lowering of each side though so that's what i care about the most, as i have acid reflux i have to elevate many times at night. there was a little nick in one of the frames but i didn't notice it right away and there's no real damage to it. i was impressed by the customer service who helped us get everything according to our needs. i would totally recommend purple to literally everyone!

We are loving it. But we also have been needing something for a year now and our couch was giving us a better nights sleep then our old mattress. I was bummed that as soon as I bought this a better deal happened the next day but oh well. Only reason im giving it 4 stars is I have found its not amazing when I sleep on my stomach, which is starting to break that habit of mine.

So far we have been liking the bed it helps a lot with my lower back pain and makes it easy for me to switch positions and not bugging my husband! The only downfall is We do get a little more sweaty in this bed which the description said there was good temperature control- I usually do not sweat when I sleep so that really surprised me
