The Purple mattress is soft to the touch, high quality, and easy to set up. It's heavy, but manageable. I set up a split king bed by myself in about 10 minutes. That being said, it's too firm for us. At 150 and 130lbs, I don't think we're heavy enough to take full advantage of this innovative mattress design. It conforms to the heaviest parts of my body, but the lighter parts seem to just float on top without much support. My wife is a little lighter, and her whole body pretty much just sits on top of the bed without it conforming, causing back pain. We tried it because we thought it would give me some pain relief, and it did a little, but not enough to keep. And my wife has never had back problems with any mattress until this one. I like the concept, the ordering and shipping process, but these will have to go back. I ordered a plush hybrid mattress from a local store to replace Purple. It was nice, but not for us. I think it would work better for heavier people. It takes a certain amount of weight for the purple material to conform to the body.

No break in period or "getting used to" new feeling mattress...we're made for each other. My old mattress was a newish Tempurpedic. Great support but hot. Purple just blows it away. Its only been night 3, don't need 100 days, or 30, or any.... So great. At first I had misgivings it would be too soft. Not so. It is fully supportive, sleeps cool. It also has the right bounce- something the Tempurpedic lacked. I have high hopes this is the last mattress I will ever buy.....(I go through them fairly regularly) and would buy one again!

Over the past fifteen years, I have been on a quest. I have been looking for the best nights sleep. I was buying a new bed every two years (it takes me about a year to decide if I really like a mattress or not). After trying all sorts of different technologies and brands, someone suggested looking at one of the new bed in a box companies. I did my research, looked at all the major players, read tons of reviews, and finally decided Purple looked the most promising. And, it was a fraction of the cost of many of my previous beds! I took the jump, and ordered a queen sized Purple mattress. I can honestly say it was a lot of fun to unpack. My favorite part is breaking the vacuum seal and watching the mattress pop up like a giant marshmallow! I remember laying on it just minutes after unpacking and feeling absolutely weightless. I spent the next week trying to find an uncomfortable position to sleep in (I failed). No matter how contorted, I'd fall asleep within minutes. It is also the only mattress I have found which allows me to fall asleep on my back (priceless). Fast forward one year, and I have ordered a king sized Purple (upgrading). If these beds sleeps as well on year five and year ten as on night 1, they will be more than worth the investment!

I love the mattress. I'm 13 years old and my Mom and Dad bought this for me. My girlfriends are all envious that I have this wonderful mattress. I hate getting out of bed in the morning because it's so comfortable. Thank you for making such a great product!

When I first heard about purple I was searching for a new mattress. I am not a typical mattress person & wanted something different but that would provide me with the kind of sleep that has eluded me way too many years. WELL, upon receiving my purple I am convinced this is the best EVER. I have had a Tempurpedic & at first it was fine, but the longer I had it, the more I found I was sleeping hot & not all that comfortable. I believe my purple will be the end of my search. I am ever so happy & pleased with my choice. Thank you for researching & making such a unique & wonderful product.

Our dear friends recommended Purple mattress and we were excited to order as Thanksgiving gift for us to replace our 15+-year-old mattress. It took a week to arrive. On the tracking massage, it was supposed to arrive in the PM, but it arrived early in the morning at 8:30 am right after we left the house for a day trip. We had to ask our neighbor to keep an eye for us. To our surprise, it said Queen size and my name on the outside label. After we carried it from the basement level to the 2nd-floor bedroom and opened it, it turned out to be a King size mattress! It took another week for the replacement order to be issued and another week to get the right size mattress while waiting for the wrong-sized mattress to be picked up. A complimentary mattress protector was ordered when we initially contacted the customer care, but it took a month to arrive. I contacted the customer care during the wait because I never received tracking information, and was told it was never shipped. I asked for an explanation but was told nothing. We have seen a lot of Purple commercials on YouTube and web browsers. Honestly, the mattress was not that impressive and the customer service was very unprofessional and untimely. We will not recommend to anyone!

The mattress is very squishy and I almost sent it back after the first few nights. They say to give it a month to get used to, but it didn't take that long. After one week I really started to like this mattress. It's different from most mattresses and takes some getting used to but overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The mattress is very firm and supportive, but yet so comfortable as well. The pillows were heavier than we were used to but we love them too. The sheets are super soft and stretchy. This mattress/pillows/sheets are the definition of a good nights sleep!

We noticed that about three days into having the purple bed we kept falling asleep as soon as we laid down. This has been great for falling asleep, unfortunately not so great for 'watching TV in bed" after the kids go to sleep. Dang you purple bed!! I am waiting for the snarky commercial that shows that 'purple symptom" broken down in scientific terms with a bunch of other things you can do in the purple bed to keep you awake while your kids crash out. Seriously we were skeptical at first so we just purchased the bed as it had a return policy we trusted. Now we are getting ready to order the sheets and lower frame. Its a keeper.

I have been sleeping on this mattress for almost a month now and it's the best mattress I have ever slept on! I have a bad back and since I've been sleeping on this mattress I have not once woken up with a backache! They sent a "purple" sample with the bed and I carry it with me and show everyone! The only con is with the delivery of the mattress. They use FedEx ground (third party contractors and not actual FedEx employees) and they delivered it to the wrong address. I had to go and pick it up at the house they incorrectly left it because they are so incompetent. However, the Purple customer service people are great! They offered to send me a complimentary gift for my inconvenience. I would totally recommend Purple to everyone!
