The best thing about this mattress is that it is cool as advertised; memory foam sleeps way too hot for me. There are two problems I have with this mattress - one is that it is not very thick so the profile is too low to the ground for me considering it must be on a platform bed. The bigger problem for me, is that even through mattress pad, you can feel the indentations of the mattress. In my opinion they're pretty significant.

Not as comfortable as originally hyped to be. There is still a dip when someone else is in the bed. I have actually woken up with lower back and hip pain that I never used to. My bed was entirely too soft and unsupportive, and my boyfriend's mattress was an extremely firm memory foam which I could not sleep on and he could not sleep without aches an pains on the softer mattress, so we bought the Purple mattress. I thought that my sore back every morning was just middle age creeping up on me. Nope, apparently it was just my firm, expensive mattress. Why I give Purple a 5 star rating but returned the twin xl mattresses? The all foam original Purple mattresses were difficult for my wife and I to adjust to having an had an innerspring mattress for years. If we could have afforded Purple's Hybrid selections, we would have definitely purchased from this awesome company. After giving the mattresses to a needy family (taking a picture and filling out the donation form), Purple immediately refunded the "entire" purchase price with absolutely NO pressure to keep the mattresses. They were very kind and helpful. You cannot go wrong dealing with a company that stands by their agreement and places the interest of their customer above their own. Thank you Purple!!

I suffer from sciatica and I had such an old mattress. I would wake up in pain multiple times through the night. . I was wondering if purple would help.
