I Have a twin XL basic model that I love so much I bought a queen basic model. Unfortunately the queen sleeps nothing like the twin. After a month of sleeping on the queen I filled out a survey in which I stated all of the issues it's been a week and no one has yet to actually respond so it seems not only are their beds inconsistent in quality but so is their customer service.

This may be a bit of a hefty post but hopefully it will help some of you out there as well as Purple in continuing to improve their products. First off I'm about 140 lbs, pretty thin; and I am pretty much exclusively a side sleeper. I prefer a softer bed, although I haven't really done any extensive studies of different bed firmness. I think due to my side sleeping I expected this bed to work really well for me because I imagined if I was sleeping on my arm that it would kind of dig into the Polymer while the rest of my weight was supported. So my arm wouldn't go numb, and at the same time due to it's design I wouldn't be super hot. I basically expected it to be a cloud of awesome. I purchased the new Purple 3 Mattress about a month ago. Initially I noticed it actually felt firmer than my old bed (my old bed was just average I would say, nothing too fancy) which kind of took me off guard. I was expecting it to be softer and really cradle me like I was sleeping in a cloud. I did notice the Hyper-Elastic Polymer when I was sitting on the bed or sitting up, but when my weight was distributed it just felt harder than my old bed. I didn't keep count of how many times my arm went numb, but I do feel it happened a bit more with this bed versus my old bed. If I was a bit heavier (perhaps 160-170lbs?) I think it would have really cradled me a lot better, but for me it felt like I was just sleeping on a flat board. In my personal opinion, I would be very interested if the Hyper-Elastic Polymer on the bed was just a bit more firm than the pillow is. Before the bed arrived I laid on the pillow and I thought, "If this is what it's like and it still keeps me cool it's going to be great." So maybe that's something they might look in to in the future. Like having different consistencies of polymer vs just 2, 3 or 4 inches of the same consistency. I would probably be willing to give it another chance if that was the case. As far as temperature goes I did feel that it slept a cooler because I was able to up my AC a bit and wake up really comfortable as far as temperature is concerned. I'm rating this three stars as it seemed like a pretty average bed to me. This doesn't take into account the price. For me it wasn't worth the price when my bed isn't super old, and I didn't really notice a difference. The rating also doesn't take into account their customer service because I wanted to make this just about the bed itself.

For the longest time i have had restless sleep and awoken with pain in my low back and hips. The purple bed almost overnight has improved the quality of my sleep and I have had little to no pain in my low back and reduced the pain in my hips. I am only 33 so for me to be able to finally wake up and not feel 10yrs older than I am has been amazing. Thank you for making a great bed and I look forward to many future nights of great sleep. My husband and I have been looking for the perfect mattress for years! It was either too firm for him, too soft for me, the pillow top sunk in, we would wake eachother up tossing and turning, and the heat... I can't begin to tell you the number of nights I would wake up in a pile of sweat. But no more! Thanks to Purple my husband and I sleep so soundly. There is no transfer of motion so we sleep so much better. And something I was worried about was with me being a heavier person at 250 that it would begin to break down or sag... it is holding on as strong as day 1! I wake up so much more rested and ready to face the day ahead. Great job, Purple. You made a wonderful product and the financing made it so easy to own!

So far so good, time will tell. My back was hurting using my old mattress. After about two weeks of sleeping on the Purple mattress the back pain I had been waking up with every day was gone. I'm not a fan of the sheets that were sent with the mattress. They weigh a thousand pounds and cannot be reasonably folded. I think the mattress is worth a try; avoid the sheets.

First, this mattress seems a couple inches shorter than a standard mattress. It doesn't go to the end of the frame they sell it with, and my husband and I are both tall so our feet hang off, which is really not enjoyable. I've always been a poor sleeper, and this mattress hasn't really helped. I can't really select a sleeping style because I toss and turn basically all night. It's not the least comfortable mattress I've ever owned, but for the price I expected something really magical. My husband, who really pushed for this mattress after seeing some advertising that convinced him this mattress would be The Best Ever, feels the same. Just okay. If I had a time machine we would probably try something else.

I cannot say enough good things about this mattress. It is definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The Goldilocks analogy is perfect -- not too hard, not too soft, but just RIGHT! Everything that needs to be supported is supported, and everything that needs softness gets softness. I'm a side sleeper mainly because I could never get comfortable lying on my back. But in this bed, I can finally lay flat on my back in total comfort and sleep! It really does almost give me a weightless feeling. I would recommend this bed to anyone looking for a fantastic night's sleep. We are very happy with our purchase.

You know that feeling, when you go to a hotel and the sheets are so crisp and cold, and the bed just swallows you and you wonder if you've just ascended to heaven or died in your sleep? That's pretty much what it feels like every night of the rest of your life if you buy this mattress. If you want to sleep like you've never slept before, but this mattress.

My husband and I had both had back problems for about 7-8 months and could not seem to find a solution. We had purchased a new mattress (different brand), gone to chiropractors, received massages, etc. and nothing would help. Eventually I started to think that maybe it was the mattress we bought and that maybe we should try a Purple mattress because my parents had one and they were always raving about how amazing it is, so we purchased one. It took a couple days to get used to, but we LOVE it and neither of us have had a single issue with our back ever since! We will be Purple customers for life!

Yesterday was my first night sleeping on the purple mattress and I've seriously have not slept so well in a long time. The mattress reacts to my body so well. I felt fully supported and comfortable. What a positive sleeping experience. Thanks Purple for such a great mattress.
