Using standard ingredients on hand like butter and milk, you can make smooth mac n cheese that tastes just like the original. This version is slightly sweeter than the white cheddar version, but it's family and kids friendly with a portion size sufficient for two adults plus kids.

So, I was very excited to try Kraft PowerMac Original. It has the same creamy, delicious taste but each serving has 17 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber and my son loves it just as much as the original. Kraft PowerMac is quick and easy to make, goes great as a side dish, lunch or even a snack and my entire family loves it. I love that I have found a delicious way to get more protein and fiber into our diets! Fans of Kraft Mac & Cheese should definitely try PowerMac Original.

And although this one is now “protein packed”, it still tastes like what you had when you were a kid. Overall not bad bad for a box, but definitely not southern Mac and cheese. Realistically a 2 or 3 rating if it weren't so convenient to make for the kids. Packaged well and convenient. Directions simple. Everything was as fresh as could be for a box. Need to be careful, although marketed as a lot of protein, don't try and think it is healthy for you.

It's a bit thicker than the standard macaroni shape, but holds up better if you enjoy al dente pasta. Would highly recommend for a quick meal!

It was filling and hit the spot when I was in need for some child like nostalgia. And the best part is, just one box of Power Mac lasts more than one meal.
