My wife and I of 17 years had a mattress that was completely wore out and began the tedious task of trying to find a good mattress within the budget we set. We (She) got caught up in the hype about a Purple one and I deferred to her judgment since she is the one that is that has chronic restless nights (I can sleep through anything). I would be lying if I said I wasn't really anticipating getting it incorporated into our lives but it was short lived. I loved the firmness but now actually wish we would have looked around more. I felt all the positive reviews were stacked on the top of the list to manufacture the hype we bought into and that I should have persevered through the reviews to find where someone may have felt the way I do now. We aren't the kind of people to complain or return things so the 100 night challenge didn't appeal to me from the beginning since we knew we would not entertain going through the hassle to return something this inconvenient. My wife has very mixed emotions too and has still yet to endorse this purchase as a good investment. I am excited to see how long it takes to wear down to where we are on the hunt again for the perfect nights sleep. I do feel the construction is top notch and should wear very well which only time will tell. The purchasing and delivery was extremely predictable and easy to track right to our door as promised. Would I do it all over again? Right now I would look elsewhere but in time I could be swayed if it outlasts all of the other mattresses we have owned. I get a better nights sleep in my recliner or on my camping cot but my beloved wife sleeps better now than she did on the mattress we retired which is worth everything to me!

We did enjoyed the purple but it didn't help my husband and I. Due to, we have chronic pain. And it wasn't made for us. It made us have more pain then ever. But thanks to team purple for giving us the opportunity to give a try. I have no negative remarks about purple. But you just have to try it if you like it... once again, thank you very much team purple!

I have only bought 2 brand new mattresses ever. A super expensive memory foam bed that I was told would last 5 to 10 years. 3 years later it had divits and was hot to sleep on. After seeing ads online i took the chance and got a Purple bed. BEST DECISION EVER. It's a perfect combination of soft and firm I need. Sleeping is tough for me since I was hit my a car years ago. This bed makes sleeping easy and comfortable. No dips, divots, or sink holes. Well worth the risk of trying something new

My fiance purchased a King sized mattress for my Christmas present (upgrade from our Queen). I purchased a memory foam mattress about 4 years ago and loved it...I just wanted more room! I was optimistic about the Purple mattress since I was familiar with the brand and heard good things about it. After it arrived and I unpacked it, I was still optimistic because just pushing my hands into the mattress and basically everything but laying on feels great with the mattress. I gave it the full 3 months and I just can't deal anymore...and here is why. The mattress feels like I'm laying on a flat, hard floor. I don't feel any major contouring when I'm laying down in any position, especially not the intense contouring felt when just pushing your hand into the mattress. I have also woken up in sweat multiple times...which never happened with my cooling memory foam mattress. -- I travel a lot for various things and spent a night out of town a week or so after receiving the mattress...then another week away about a month after that; I slept amazingly every night I was away. If you're into really hard beds, I'd suggest this bed for you. I have no complaints about the quality or company...just not my thing. I prefer to feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud! If you're interested in having a bed asap, this may not be for you. The mattress takes about 3 weeks to arrive at your door. --To add to this comment, this company's customer service is amazing. The first mattress sent out to us was damaged and their communication throughout the process of getting a replacement mattress was fantastic. They also offered free sheets and pillows for the hassle of waiting 3 more weeks for our mattress. I have already started the return process for my mattress and the excellent customer service doesn't change when you request a return.

We like a firm mattress. The regular Purple is firm but has the very soft grid topper. Its very comfortable, but you can see and feel the sag already. Kind of disappointed. I have also tried the hybrid overnight and it was deeply soft like a luxury bed. Both the regular and the hybrid sleep cool.

I wanted to love this mattress but, unfortunately, it wasn't what I was expecting. I constantly woke up with back pain and stiffness-- just didn't provide the pressure relief I was looking for. It almost felt like I was floating, but it didn't sink in where it needed to. Note: 3 people have tried this mattress: 2 (including me) weighs around 110-120 lbs, 1 weighs 180 lbs. Only the 180 lb friend felt like this mattress supported him well.

Now, I've done a lot of research with all these different type beds in a box/bag, on which is the best. Purple drew my attention with their Egg Test video and the sleep cool from their polymer. The Egg Test is what drew my attention the most to Purple. I work at a moving company and my body is always taking a beating and I've played many years of football through the collegiate level and I just needed something that would help relieve a lot of that stress that my body has endured and/or will be enduring from active lifestyle. The first night with my Purple mattress was a little sore, but I believe that was due to work and my body adjusting to a complete new mattress, but even then, the next morning I woke up with with a little refresh feeling in my body. After several days, I definitely noticed a difference from my body waking up more and more refreshed. It without a doubt, also sleeps very cool, which to me, is amazing due to me sleeping hot and other competitors saying that they sleep cool, but don't. I was also fortunate enough that with the purchase of my Purple mattress, I also got the mattress protector for half off (#winning). I have a dog so getting that mattress protector was an absolute must. I also purchased the bed sheets (they are amazingly soft!!) and even with the mattress protector and bed sheets, the Purple mattress sleeps with cool. The only negative, and part of me doesn't even want to consider it one since it is so minor depending on who you are, is there is a smell to the Purple mattress upon opening it up and laying it out. I'm assuming that's due to how it was packaged when put together, but the smell does go away within a couple days. On a side note, I currently have an ISO cool pillow and I used to love it a ton, but after getting the Purple mattress, my pillow, I feel, has been making my neck and shoulders sore. I don't know exactly if that's from that pillow not being able to support the way it used to with my old mattress, but I'm definitely considering the Purple pillow. I've had my Purple mattress for almost two weeks now, I absolutely love it, and would strongly recommend to anybody!

If I am anything it's 1) skeptical, and 2) cheap. Hallelujah! Purple has made me a believer! I'm still cheap, but hey I don't regret this purchase so there's that. Love this mattress. It's supportive edge-to-edge, isolates motion as well as their videos suggest, and is firm . . . yet not firm. You won't sink into it like you would a feather-top, but you won't notice that you're not sinking into it either. Probably because you will sink into it, you just won't notice that you're sinking into it. Confused yet? Like a memory foam you sink where you need to, as much as you need to, but unlike memory foam you sink instantaneously and the mattress rebounds just as quickly without feeling bouncy. You're just always *in* the mattress without ever feeling like you can't get out. I don't know man it's crazy. I sleep cold but even in these winter months I've had a few nights of sweating my boys off and having to relocate away from damp sheets, so if anything the "sleep cool" claim is a bit overstated, but it's no worse than any other mattress I've slept on so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I also purchased Purple sheets, two Harmony pillows, and the Purple blindfold, all of which I will cover in separate, somewhat less gushing reviews.

The mattress is suppose to cradle your pressure points. Right? Then why does mine not even begin to even form to me when I am even sitting on it? I weigh about 245 lbs and I feel as though I'm laying on a squishier version of particle board. I will keep it since that is the only mattress I have. I may just need time to get use to it. just as FYI.

This mattress is very firm. They advertise that it stays cool but I sweated every night. We used it for a week thinking we just needed to get used to it. In that week I never got a full night's sleep. I would wake up and not be able to get back to sleep. We had to switch back to our old memory foam mattress that gives me lower back pain. At least I could sleep through the night. This purple mattress is NOT all they claim it to be.
