The purple mattress was comfortable for the first couple months. Shortly after the weight of my body (175 lbs) started leaving the mattress uneven. I tried moving sides and rotating the mattress but nothing worked. Now every night it sucks me into the middle of the mattress and puts me at an old angle leaving my back hurting most morning. I do not recommend buying this mattress because it does not stay comfortable for more than a few months

Our experience with getting and sleeping on a Purple mattress has been really positive. The shipping was easy, and came exactly when they said it would. The slipcase that the mattress is in was easily portable (thanks for those handles), and unrolling it was simple. So far, sleeping on it has been great! If I had one complaint, its that the top sheet is way too elastic-y and stretchy. Great quality for a fitted sheet, but an annoying one for a top-sheet. Everything else is awesome!

I bought the Purple 4 Hybrid mattress. I think the fact that it comes rolled up does something to its shape, because my mattress is not a perfect cube like in the photos. Corners are misshaped and the base is much wider than the top of the mattress. Though just 48 hours old, the geometry of the mattress looks like it's ten years old. It is about 5" wider than it should be and sticks out over my queen sized platform bed on both sides.

I just got my new King Purple bed last night (arrived a day early). As soon as my head hit the pillow I was OUT like a light. Most comfortable but yet stable bed I've ever slept on. First time I've woke up this refreshed without any back pain (i have 4 herniated disks) - 1 night and I think It's safe to say I'm a purple customer for life.

We received the King Size Purple mattress. We were very excited. It sleeps very cool and is perfect for my always sweating husband and for myself who is always cold. *Warning*not appropriate for teenagers!!!! When it came time to perform my wifely duties, we were quite surprised. Let's just say that this mattress absorbs ALL shock and the bed WILL NOT shake. After our fun, I told my husband that our sons will never be allowed this mattress because we will NOT be able to hear if they are gettin' it on in their bedrooms!!!! Overall, a wonderful firm, but giving mattress for all body types and sleepers. (The pillow is extremely heavy though.)

In January I bought the Purple matress, adjustable bed frame, mattress cover, sheets, and blanket. I LOVE everything except the sheets. The mattress is the most comfortable I've ever slept on...very little back and neck pain since switching. The blanket is my fav too! So silky and warm! I am however disappointed in the sheets. They fit and feel wonderful but for the price I thought they would last longer than the 9 months I've had them. The sheets are super thin and within a few months of regular use I had holes. I also bought an inexpensive Jersey knit sheet set at the same time as the Purple sheets - same amount of use yet no holes in the inexpensive set. I do love the way these sheets fit and feel but they don't hold up for the price!

If you are of a small build, petite, and weigh less than 120 lbs, DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS. It's the equivalent of sleeping on a wooden table. There's absolutely no give and you will wake up with horrendous back pain, neck pain, shoulder pair and chest pain (if you've tried to sleep on your stomach).

What I wanted was a bed just as comfy, if not more, then my previous bed of a futon with a 6 inch memory foam mattress pad. I got exactly what I what I wanted. It's just as supportive as they, and it does wonders for my lower back and spine while I sleep. I can only give it four stars as I have had it for less than a month. But in my first few weeks, the bed functions exactly as advertised, and I have no reason to believe that will change in the future.

I've waited a long time to write a review. My husband and I have been sleeping on the original purple mattress for over a year and a half and it's terrible. This morning we ordered a new mattress from a different company. The purple mattress is comparable to sleeping on the floor to me. It's so hard. I'm a side sleeper and my arms fall asleep every night. I don't sink in AT ALL. My husband has had to visit the chiropractor twice a week since getting the purple for terrible lower back pain. He can hardly get out of this bed in the morning and he's 35 years old! Such a bummer and waste of money for us!

This mattress is literally one of the best things to ever happen to me in my life. It's right up there with meeting my husband and getting into the college I really wanted to go to. I'm 33 years old, 5'8", and 125 pounds, and I'm primarily a back sleeper, though I do like to curl up on my side for the last hour of sleep in the mornings. My husband is 35 years old, 5'10", and 140 pounds, and he's exclusively a side sleeper. We both have computer-based jobs, although my neck and back pain has always been worse, and it's been a problem since I was 15 years old no matter what kind of mattress I tried... until the Purple. We tried coil. We tried latex. We tried a memory foam gel topper. We tried the Casper. We worried and worried about the fact that very few beds are recommended for both back and side sleepers. I woke up with pain no matter what I slept on. Lower back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain. I was starting to despair, but I also had a good feeling about the Purple mattress because the design made so much sense to me. It's basically a smarter, better, more technologically advanced version of the latex concept, and I was just hoping and hoping they would come out with a California King size... and then they did. And it changed my life. The second I laid on this bed, I knew it was The One. The first morning we woke up on it, the first words out of the mouth of my husband, who had maintained some healthy skepticism the night before, were, "This bed is SO comfortable." We've had the Purple for about six weeks now, and pretty much every morning, he says the same thing -- and I couldn't agree more. This bed is a godsend. It is the best thing I own. My neck and back pain has improved dramatically, and my husband, who used to wake up constantly during the night, has actually managed to sleep through the whole night on it. I've seen some reviews that say this mattress is not as good for side sleepers as back sleepers. I find it incomprehensible that anyone would say this. The design is actually even more impressive when you sleep on your side, because it truly does reduce pressure points better than any other mattress I've ever slept on, which is exactly what you need for bony hips and butts like ours. The Purple truly is the "no pressure" mattress. I can't think them enough for inventing it. And for the price, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. Thanks, Purple! We love you!
