I hated the Purple mattress, my wife loved it. We are both 56, medium build, in good health. I sleep like a blast furnace...HOT! Contrary to the promise, the Purple Mattress slept just as hot as any other chunk of foam we've tried in the past 2 years. I made it 3 hours. (I do sleep cool on our 20 year-old Simmons) Since my wife had to get up early that morning and I didn't want her to have to worry about me, I toughed it out and woke up 2 more times overheated. Once I finally got up, my shoulders hurt SO bad that I couldn't get my right arm up to open the cabinet door where the pain reliever was stored. Awful. We moved the mattress to the front room, and my wife kept sleeping on it, she loved it so much. The return was simple and courteous, thank goodness. This is probably my fault but based on online reviews and ads, I was expecting a bed which fulfilled all my needs. The most important need was to wake up without back pain. The purple bed fulfills this need and a result, I will be keeping the bed. But the purple bed is not as comfortable as I was expecting. I have woken up to arm numbness and I can tell I most of my pressure is now on my shoulders. I am a 6'2", 265lbs side-sleeper. I wake up throughout the night to flip over to my other side a few times a night. I am not getting the most rested night of sleep as a result. But I am not waking up with back pain.

I am really loving the purple mattress. I spent months researching different mattress to find out which was the best for me. I remember hearing of purple years back. I was always intrigued in the mattress that made big promises. Towards the end of this year, i finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the purple mattress. I am definitely impress. I have had the best sleep in my life since i had the purple mattress. I would definitely recommend the purple mattress to everyone. Buying purple was probably the best decision i have made.

I love our Purple Mattress! I sleep soundly and wake up without soreness. As a side-sleeper, that wasn't the norm before, but my shoulders and neck don't hurt in the morning. I don't find myself waking up to switch positions in the night anymore, either! Would definitely recommend!

Alright, where do I begin? We've had our Purple mattress for about 6 weeks and feel we can truly write an honest review. I'll start with the pros first: - My back no longer hurts when I wake up. - When I get into bed, I'm asleep in about 2 minutes. On our old mattress I would fall asleep after 30min. I could never get comfortable (more on that in the cons section). - There is no movement in the bed when I get up and my wife states she never even 'felt' me get up. - I wake up without the aching feeling in my body (as stated above) and refreshed. It's weird, I now wake up feeling ready to go; where before it would take me a few cups of coffee to get to that point of my morning. - Delivery and setup were a piece of cake. I recommend folks watch the video. Now for the Cons (these are not really cons but notes): - It took a few nights (really like 2-3) for my body to get use to the mattress. At first I thought it was too soft, but now the bed just feels awesome! - I now fall asleep too quick! With the old mattress, I would stay awake an read or watch TV for awhile. Not now! The other night I only had 3 minutes left on a show I had recorded. 3 minutes! I was asleep before the 3 minutes were up. Again, not really cons but more of a change in the nightly routine. The bed is for sleeping! All in all - my wife and I love this mattress! I've been able to sleep 7 hours straight without even a toss and turn. We'll call each other at work a talk about how we can't wait for tonight so we can crawl onto our Purple mattress. Maybe that's what 21 years of marriage will get you - exciting talk about our new mattress!! I highly recommend Purple and their products!

I recently got a memory foam mattress. It was too hot. So I found Purple. I was excited that there was a lot of info suggesting that purple was a very cool mattress. While it is cooler than my memory foam, it is still way too hot. Much more than a traditional mattress. I'm not an overweight person. I'm pretty lean. I'm keeping the AC about 5 degrees cooler than normal. All that does it keep half of me freezing while the other half sweats. I'm going back to traditional mattresses. Purple is otherwise very comfortable. Although I think my icomfort memory foam is slightly more comfortable, I like that the purple bounced back quickly and the price is great.

We decided to invest in the original Purple knowing that a traditional mattress with boxspring was not providing us any level of comfort any more. My husband and I both have multiple areas of arthritis and were sick and tired - literally - of waking up every morning sore. In fact, my husband would often be up after only 4-5 hrs of sleep because he just wasn't comfortable in bed. With the Purple mattress, by day 2, he was and still is sleeping comfortably about 7-8 hrs a night now. And my hip joint pain and neck pain which were always aggravated after a night's sleep are pretty much none existent in the morning now. We have a bedframe that was not going to work with the Purple base, so we bought the Zinus 5" high bunkie board. The slats are 3" wide and about 3" apart which fit the specs. We will definitely be keeping the bed; it has made a clear difference for us. BTW we ordered the sheets as our freebie - kind of a weird texture - they almost feel like pantyhose almost. But they are comfortable and don't get too cold or too hot.

I needed a platform for my foam mattress, and after reading a lot of reviews, I went with the purple platform since it guaranteed to be silent and sturdy. It was super easy to open and assemble, it will be easy if and when we move. It is almost silent except for an occasional "tink" sound it makes on my husband's side, which drives him crazy because it is otherwise silent. It is even silent during amorous activities... We are very happy with this purchase, it was inexpensive and it really offers a sturdy support. It isn't much to look at, but I put a bed skirt on and it is just like any other foundation. I would recommend this platform to anyone. It is so much easier than a traditional foundation and box spring, not to mention a heck of a lot cheaper. I will look to purchase from purple in the future for sure!

This is the best mattress I ever sleeper on. I have had very expensive mattresses that costed 3 times more then Purple mattress and doesn't feel like anything I have expereance. However I did receive the pillow but if I were to change one thing about the pillow I would say make the pillow more thicker so your neck can be more aligned and supported

It seems to work well. I keep a plastic cover over my child's mattress and place the purple mattress cover over it. I have noticed the plastic cover smell like urine but I don't know if the smell just transfers through. I wash the purple mattress cover with the rest of my child's bedding and hang it to air dry. It has worked well so far, keeping the mattress protected with this 2 cover technique. I would try the purple cover alone, except for the fact that we as parents have struggled with urine stains and odor in his mattress for years and I don't want to chance it again. Over all I love this cover and will buy again if needed.
