I'l love to say this is the absolute best thing I've ever slept on but, as a side-sleeper, I still find pressure points causing discomfort in my shoulder. When I lay on my back, however, this is probably the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. I also want to mention that the Purple mattress is fantastically cool to sleep on which makes it great on the warmer nights! I'd probably buy it again but I wish there was an intermediary layer between the purple material and the latex foam to help provide pressure relief for my shoulder!

Mattress feels okay to lay on. However, I am waking up in pain every day even after 30 days. Going to give it some more time to adjust. Time will tell. Pretty irritated with my experience so far. Really hoping i didn't fall for an internet hype trap.

Just be weary if you are more plump but still under the pound limit as it will indents to your body which it's not supposed to do. Especially worse in the summer bc it's hotter and the foam shapes more. I am in the midst of my second warranty exchange and they will not refund my money because it is not within that 100 day trial. Keep in mind we spent almost 2 grand and all of this happened within the first 8 months.

Me and my wife just bought the purple 2 and it is amazing we've had it a few days now but when I say it's worth it, I mean it. The first night we slept on it was the best sleep I've had in years and what was the most surprising thing was the first morning after the first night was the first day in 4 years that I woke up with no pain in my back. So if your like me and my wife and your on the fence about it I'd recommend the purple 2 it's more on the expensive side but it is well worth it.

Used to have a pillow top that cost about 3-4 times the Purple. After only 4 years I was consistently waking up with a very sore back. I have slept like a baby in this mattress. My wife and I are very pleased. They sheets are wonderful too. So soft!! Would buy again.

I bought the Base model Purple mattress as I was sleeping in 20 minute intervals a night and waking up sore as the pillow top mattress I had was so hard. Wanting true comfort I believed the marketing on the Purple product so I took a chance and splurged. It arrived in great packaging and now I sleep in about 2 hour intervals as the product is a bit better but not enough to suit my personal needs. I would have been better off shopping local mattress stores and testing multiple products at better price points. Wish I could trade this one mattress as I believe I could have bought both a box spring and better mattress for the same investment. Now the mattress budget is gone and I am just living with my decision to gamble on the Purple until a future point in time. Lesson learned. Test mattresses before purchasing.

I'm not one to review things but I have to say that purple mattress is the best thing to sleep on than any mattress I have had . Have slept better since first night then I have in decades. Yes decades lol. So I say if you want to sleep good and comfortable get one they are worth every penny.

So far, so "meh". Before we purchased this mattress, I purchased the chair cushion and lumbar support just to see how the grid system worked (and if the cushions worked as advertised). I haven't used the actual cushion much as it makes me sit too high on my office chair, but did notice that both it and the lumbar cushion make you sweat - a lot. And the reason for this is the grid collapses as it supports, so there is zero air flow through the grid. As far as comfort, they work nominally well. Our old mattress was a pseudo-memory foam affair that lasted exactly 2 years before it decided it was going to collapse in the middle as most do. Our previous mattress was a coil spring which did the same thing (we, as a couple, are not overly large people.. just sayin'). So, I thought a hybrid might do the job, and we sat on a P3 at a local retail store and it seemed to have "all the right moves". We ordered one. We're figuring with the 3 month warranty from the retail store and the 10 year through Purple our butts would literally be covered. The first week or so there was a pungent odor that weirdly I was only able to detect - and it was more a taste thing than anything else. It's somewhat dissipated now, but still occasionally get a whiff. Mattress movement with a partner isn't too much an issue - it does creditably well there. My main issue is actually sleeping close to the edge (a queen, and giving my partner some room), the edge will actually collapse, almost spilling me off the bed. Purple needs a solid band around the edge of their grids, maybe 2" wide and as deep as the grid to keep this from happening. As for sleeping comfort... yeah, it's ok. I don't think it's as 'cool' as they tout it to be (to the touch), but I'm not sweating, either. My arms will occasionally fall asleep if I'm on my side, but they'll do that in other places as well so I can't directly blame the mattress. The mattress itself is bouncy, I'm sure directly related to the grid gel. And you can feel the grid through the top cover of the mattress. It's not annoying, just one of those oh.. there's one kind of thing. I think Purple could step up the technology with the gel formation - I feel a "foamed" version of this gel - open cell, very loose foam (think soap bubbles) would be the next logical step as something like that could easily support the same amount of weight, be more breathable and provide the same support.

This bed is incredible! I've struggled with getting a good night's rest for years now. The first night in this bed and I slept soundly. There was no tossing and turning. I was comfortable all night long. I woke up feeling better than ever. My husband and I have always really struggled with finding a bed firm enough for his needs and soft enough for mine. This bed is every bit of PERFECT! We were worried about spending so much money, but it's been absolutely worth it. .

We came from having a Tempur-Pedic Mattress, which provided great support and comfort. We are still willing to continue to try to adapt to the Purple mattress, but I feel like I really sink into the mattress. The mattress also seems to get very hot, and not dissipate residual body heat.
