We originally purchased and received our Purple in February last year. We loved it! Then in October we both noticed the honeymoon seemed to be over (oh no!). I had noticed my hip sinking down and my husband's hip was going numb again. We rotated the mattress and got some of that good Purple feel back. I decided to ask customer service about the issues we were having with the mattress. Fast forward a couple of pictures of water jugs sinking down in a bow shape later, BAM new mattress delivered to us. Completely amazing! No mattress company has ever been so straight forward. Our new Purple is a dream come true! It is unfortunate we had a defective mattress BUT Purple knocked it out of the park with owning up to the issue and replacing it. We are Purple for Life now!

It may just be me, but sometimes I get great sleep. Sometimes, I wake up with pains in my neck. Sometimes I can get very comfortable in my Purple. Other times, not so much. I'm about 138 pounds, and I kinda feel like I may be too light for this thing. Lying on my side, sometimes, despite all the science that's gone into the making of these mattresses, I get pressure points causing me to readjust frequently. It's weird. It may just be me. I don't really know...

The mattress works great for anyone sleeping on their back or stomach since there's excellent weight distribution. I sleep on my side, and my shoulders are a little wider than my hips, so I sink right through the comfy soft layer and rest on the firm layer. That means I end up with a sore shoulder from the pressure frequently, or I end up with a sore back if I twist my spine to take pressure off my shoulder. My wife loves the mattress, though, and that's the most important thing.

My husband and I just turned the big 40 and with that came an inability to effectively sleep in the same bed. He likes soft, I like hard...we were desperate! We have tried sleep number, gel, firm and soft in the past and weren't able to both get a good night's rest. We decided to give purple a shot. We are both surprised at how well we are both sleeping. We have only had the bed for a month, so we don't know how it will hold up long term but so far, we are both well rested!

I got into a bad car accident in July and have been going to physical therapy for neck pain since then. PT has been going well but I kept waking up with neck pain until I soon realized it was from my old crappy mattress. I have never slept so well as I do on this purple mattress and my neck and back pain from sleeping is GONE!!! I am obsessed!

The bed seems pretty comfortable, but we wish it were thicker. We like the pillows, but they are really heavy, which is weird when moving them around while getting ready for bed and while making the bed in the morning. Not crazy about the sheets as they are really stretchy. We actually have tried the fitted sheet on the bed and a regular top sheet to cover us. That seems more comfortable. The jury is still out on whether we are 100% satisfied with everything.

I'm not happy with the platform base. When I bought this I was so excited to think finally a squeek proof base ... Please DON'T buy it's all a LIE... I regret buying this I been having the worst sleep ever with all the squeaky noise this thing makes... Getting ready to throw it...

I, unfortunately missed my 100-day return cut-off due to medical issues beyond my control that prevented me from sleeping in the bed during that time. Now, I'm out a LOT of money for a barely mediocre mattress. This is much firmer than I was expecting (and I'm a bigger girl, I expected it to be softer for me than my lighter-weight ex-husband). It is extremely difficult to roll over on, and my back pain has not increased at all (this was my PRIMARY reason for choosing this mattress). The pillow is no better. It's HEAVY - making it difficult to adjust to comfortable, and my neck still hurts. Overall, I am just really regretting this purchase.

The first week or so took some getting used to. Now, I sleep through the night almost every night. This mattress does an incredible job of keeping me cool and cushioning my painful joints, and as a result, I'm sleeping far more restfully and I feel better during the day. My dog loves it. My cats love it. My husband loves it. I will definitely be recommending it to family and friends who are in the market.

I struggle with sever neck and back problems, yoga and pain killers some of the only things that help my back feel better, but now I've added this mattress to the list! It's helped reduce my back pain drastically, and it makes me tail bone feel amazing. Thank you Purple
