First I was very skeptical. I had a bed that was old and ran thru. After some recommendations, I decided to buy this mattress and it was amazing. If you sleep with someone else, you really won't feel if they move or get up from bed. It kinda molds to your body and it's very comfortable.

After reading the reviews and sleeping on my queen size mattress for a few weeks now, I thought it would be better. My buddy has one but I'm guessing he bought the higher priced one with the cooling gel layer??? Also my sheets don't fit it real tight due to it's height. I'm guessing the cooling gel layer and tight fitting sheets might make a difference. Not sure why a mattress that you pay over $1,000 for still needs a special additional gel layer and special sheets to get the full experience. Still deciding on the 100 night guarantee...

My back pain is gone. I sleep almost through the night now (which is a massive improvement for me) and I just really never want to leave my bed anymore. So yeah, I highly recommend this bed. Also the platform. And the sheets are the softest ever. Also these sheets do not pull up at the corners, or come off at all, so that's a win as well.

I have suffered from chronic back pain for many years. In addition to every possible medical and alternative therapies, I have tried new high end conventional mattress with various toppers (some helped a tiny bit) the Sleep Number Bed, a foam Mattress, and continually sleep with a fat pillow between my knees, and finally I tried the Purple Mattress. I AM IN HEAVEN. Every night that I sleep on it my back seems to heal and improve a little more. No longer do I wake up unable to move until I do the physical therapy exercises and walk with pain for hours upon rising. Purple has improved both my sleep and my wakefulness- my pain has decreased significantly and I am able to be more active and take little to no medications for pain. Thank you Purple, you have changed my life!

I first bought a foam bed online, and ended up returning it after waking up sore most mornings. The change to purple has solved the problem. I sleep better with the purple mattress and definitely cooler. Wake up feeling good in the am! Have since bought one of everything else purple. Sheets arrived today, just waiting on my pillow! With that all said, 4 stars not 5 because in addition to the bed it's recommended you buy a super stretchy mattress cover and super stretchy high performance sheets (pricey) or Jersey cotton sheets (not the best feeling). Also, wish the mattress was an inch or 2 thicker--but that is just an aesthetic thing, not function.

I love my mattress the only issue I have is kicking myself for not getting the Queen my boyfriend and I love to sleep close when he's over but I honestly feel like closer to the edge there's a little less support and wonder if that couldn't be fixed by spending the extra hundred or whatever to upgrade to the Queen? So far we have liked the overall comfort and support of the mattress itself, however, being that it is made of entirely synthetic materials it makes us both sweat while we are sleeping. This even happen in tandem with the Purple mattress cover and cotton sheets. This is somewhat disappointing since Purple touts that it's mattress grid design is suppose to allow or air flow and keep sleepers cool. There is also a significant off-gassing period which can be somewhat unbearable if your sensitive to chemical manufacturing smells. I would recommend keeping your existing bed for a month while your Purple mattress and pillow fully off-gases in your garage or spare bedroom if you are able. Again, the comfort is okay, if you're alright with sweating and mid-sleep damp sheets.

I bought a queen Hybid Purple mattress three years ago and love it. I needed a twin guest bed and ordered the Purple mattress and foundation. Everyone on the phone was helpful, website was easy and delivery to my remote mountain home was amazingly fast. Great directions and my 81 year old husband had an easy time setting it all up.

I've had major back surgery but still suffered from sciatic nerve pain nightly. I tried stretching, extra pillows, even tennis balls. Nothing really helped.. From my first night on the Purple mattress, after laying on it for about 5 minutes, the pain was gone. I've had the mattress 2 weeks now and I can't believe the difference. On top of that, I wake up feeling less stiff in my lower back than I used to with my old mattress. I was hopeful that this mattress would help my back, but it has surpassed my expectations, which is a rare thing now days.

We had a select comfort mattress for 16 years, and I still would wake up with achy hips and shoulders.
