I can never fully express the difference it has made in the quality of my sleep having a purple mattress! I thought the cushions were amazing, but the bed is pure pleasure! I put Purple sheets on it and it's like nothing Imve ever slept on. Best money I have ever spent!

I knew I'd love it the second I laid down on it, sooo comfortable! I hadn't been able to get cozy on any of my old mattress or sit straight up from laying down in years. It has almost been a year now since we got ours and we. still love it just as much if not more. I decided to buy my mom one as well because she needed a new bed...also convinced my sister to try it out because she had been complaining about her bed. We all love our Purple beds!! Thank you!

I read the reviews good and bad and decided based on the cool advertising. It's hard ordering something as personal as a mattress without getting a first hand look I am the same size as the sumo wrestler YAMA in the Purple ad. So I call up customer service and ask them if this thing is going to hold up over time with my big old self wallering it every night. They assured me it would so I thought I would give it a chance. Then it showed up, with the Purple Platform Base, in packages that I thought were cool but way to small. I'm in the steel fab business and as I unbox the base I get that sinking feeling that this thing is not gonna work :( After I get the base set-up I roll out the mattress . Again I look at this thing and think That's not thick enough, soft enough, bouncy enough, firm enough. Again:( BUT THEN, I SLEPT WOW!!! I didn't sink to the bottom, I wasn't dying of heat, the frame was solid, no squeaks. Yeah!! I can flop around, get up get down, and not disturb sleeping beauty. Recently stayed the weekend at a high end hotel and bout died the first night. Went to the store and bought two extra huge pillows to get through the second night and cancelled the third night so I could go home to the pleasure of Purple. I Believe. I bought 2 more for the kiddos and they arrived today. Can't wait to get home and set all three of them up, have some sumo matches and then let the whole family experience the best sleeps evah. (Even better than church sleep)

Top is so soft that it's extremely hard to change positions. I actually injured my wrist while having to lift my self higher than while on our tempurpedic. The repetitive pressure and strain gave me tendinitis in my wrist. Switched back to the Tempurpedic Contour Elite and the wrist problem is going away. It was a horrible mattress for my pregnant wife. She had such a hard time turning over on it, that we finally had to return it only after a month. We so wanted to love it, but it truly did more harm than good. My wife and I are pretty athletic people. I'm 43 and she's 31. I'm 5'10" 195lbs and she's 5'7" 145 at 5 months pregnant. The two stars are for the customer service at Purple. They were great and handled the return/donation professionally.

I received my Purple King Mattress in Oct 2017. I was very excited from the hype of new technology and a personal recommendation from a friend who had just purchased their Purple. I was so tired of my memory foam mattress consuming my body and forming a mold around me that was difficult to escape from - so this seemed like a great option. I will agree this mattress is constructed differently than any other I have researched and I applaud Purple for thinking outside of the box - that was enough for me to justify the expense. My experience: I'm 6', 230 lbs so a bit heavier than normal. I am primarily a side-sleeper (but lately I'm just a restless sleeper). The mattress did take some time to getting used to (as expected) so I kept holding on until my body and the mattress were acquainted. I think I did have some comfortable nights somewhere in this timeline but the experience kept evolving good to bad to good to bad. I made the mistake of waiting past my 100 day trial, thinking at least this is better than the memory foam! I put it out of my mind and went on with my life. Now nearly 1 1/2 years later I find myself back in the market for a new mattress, willing to give up on this investment after less than 2 years. I toss, turn, and wake all night long. I own a Fitbit which tracks my sleep patterns and the graphs are all over the place with very little deep-sleep recorded. I'm tired all the time and also tired of constant aches and pains that I didn't have before. As I am researching the internet for my next option I came across info about the new Purple 2, 3, & 4 with coils. I'm thinking I'm not the only one with a negative experience with Purple and this is why they are releasing softer options. My biggest complaint is while side-sleeping my arm seems to bottom-out past the comfort grid and my circulation gets cut off. Maybe this new technology would help with that problem? Unfortunately I am not willing to take another chance on Purple - even with the new technology. I'm writing this review for those considering a Purple. If you are a little heavier than normal and often sleep on your side - consider the Purple 2, 3, & 4. Maybe these will help? If not, keep you're eye on those 100 nights and be sure to return your mattress if not totally certain this is the mattress for you. Don't wait to return thinking things will all work out like I did. We loved our purple. We had an adjustment period, but it wasn't long. Loved it for a while. Less than a year and I already had a slight "trench" that I kept slipping into. I put an anti-sag piece under from our last mattress and now I'm wonderful again. Just didn't know how it happened so quickly and very noticeable. We will talk to the company if the anti sag stops working. I am hoping as I lose more and more weight, that this will be better. Also maybe a little of the box springs, but I don't really think so. Love the coolness feel; I hate to sweat when I sleep.

When I first unrolled that big beautiful purple burrito I was so excited to get home from work and sleep on it! You see purple, I am a night shift NICU nurse, nights in my world can be incredibly long and emotionally draining so needless to say, I value my sleep a great deal! Well purple, I can tell you the first few nights......umm days.....I slept on the mattress I was afraid I had made a huge mistake. I found the mattress to be way to firm for my liking and while I did feel like it cushioned me I wasn't exactly sold for the price I had paid. So three weeks into sleeping on this mattress and I can honestly say I wouldn't change it for the world. The whole thing has softened up and holds me in just the right way. I fall asleep fast and wake up with more energy than with my old mattress. Even my husband ( a firefighter for a living) loves this mattress. Purple gives us a big squishy purple cloud to climb into after long hours of hard work! Thank you purple!

I suffer from mild insomnia and am constantly tired and exhausted for the most part of everyday. I was hoping through the purchase of this mattress that it could alleviate some my my stress, however, I in fact do get more quality sleep for when I do, but the length of my sleep hasn't changed. Overall satisfied with this product, just don't foolhardily think it'll fix all your sleep problems.

My shoulder starting hurting while using my tempur-pedic. I went to purple and my shoulder pain went away. In fact other little pains went away as well. What is amazing is you forget about the bed until you sleep in another bed. Rule 1: after getting a purple never sleep on another bed. I have ordered my second purple for our cabin to make sure the purple experience is maximized.

Granted, hauling it upstairs took some effort, but well with the effort! The mattress is exactly as advertised. I even took a raw egg (in a ziplock bag!) and pressed into the mattress. It did not break. Very cooling to sleep on and virtually no movement it transmitted through the mattress at all! I will buy another (just not today)! Last note: The Purple Pillow is fantastic as well.
