Everything from the Purple People to the mattress itself has been the single best thing I've ever done for my health. Having a number of medical diagnoses that affect joints and muscles, I THOUGHT I had made a good decision getting a Tempurpedic 7 years ago. That's what I get for thinking... I was finally able to sell the Tempurpedic and immediately ordered the Purple (queen). It arrived in about 5 days, very well protected. Got my friend to help me haul it to the bedroom, and set it up within minutes. It was beautiful! I had Sheex, so didn't buy the Purple sheets (I'd just missed out on the free sheet set, but got a free mattress pad instead!). I used my Tempurpedic base -- the articulating one, with vibration. It works even BETTER for the Purple! I couldn't WAIT to see if it made a difference in how I felt in the morning. For decades, I've awakened EVERY night 10-12 times -- too hot, too much pain in joints, etc. With my Purple, I slept like the (happy) dead, for 8 full hours the first night. No "break-in" time, absolutely NO "off-gassing" smell. I woke up feeling better than I have in years. And it continues ... I've had it about a month now, and it's consistently WONDERFUL. I've had NO "too hot" episodes, it's EASY to turn over, though I barely move with this mattress. I have had NO "extremities going to sleep, but I'M not!!!!" problems, and NO "pressure point pain." Everything I hated about the Tempurpedic. I really cannot say enough about the mattress, the company, the customer service ... the best buying experience I can imagine. I won't need it, but the 100-night guarantee doesn't hurt either! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for "inventing" something that has been SO much help to someone who lives in constant pain, and used to dread getting into bed. I literally would stay up to 3-4 a.m. until I simply could NOT keep my eyes open any longer, because I knew what a painful experience sleep - or trying to - would be. Every morning was excruciating. NOW I feel like I felt 20 years ago when I wake up - ready to face the day. NOW I can't WAIT for bedtime!!!!! I wish I could say it "cured" everything, but that's impossible. What it HAS done is make my life in general a whole lot easier/less painful! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been shouting "Purple!!!!" from the rooftops - which really makes my neighbors nervous, but I don't care. I'm sure you'll get many, many orders from friends/coworkers just to shut me up. But then they, like I, will understand my enthusiasm!

I am not one to write reviews however, this bed is AWESOME! There's no comparison to other beds. It's not too soft or too hard, it is perfect! I've slept in expensive themopedics only to wake up sweating and uncomfortable not w purple though! It's been about a month and I can't even express w words how much I love this bed!

I was struggling with sleeping through the night - until NOW. Love this mattress. My husband works in concrete and was experiencing significant back pain. That pain has almost completely subsided since sleeping on this mattress. We expect him to have some pain working in the industry, but we're really impressed with how well we are both sleeping.

This is our second Purple mattress, the first one we returned because it too was terrible. My husband and I wake up everyday with back pain. It feels like we are sleeping on the frame or the floor. Some days I wake it and I can't even walk my back is hurting so bad! When we had these issues with the first mattress we were told it was from "a bad batch of foam". We didn't understand that, but we thought we'd give it another try with a replacement mattress. I guess all their foam is "a bad batch" then. We also have the frame and it's terrible. The bed squeaks so bad! We can't even move an arm without waking each other up with the noise. When I woke up this morning I told my husband that I regret getting this Purple bed.

I am 5'10 170lbs stomach sleeper that radiates while my wife is also medium and a side sleeper that freezes. This bed is a multi condition miracle! The bed does not sag in the middle when she migrates to my side in the middle of the night for warmth. I actually bounce out of bed in the morning and the motion isolation doesn't move her a bit. We once slept on a memory foam for a week on a vacation and felt trapped in a tar pit compared to this. Her hip and lower back pain are gone. I can now also sleep on my side if desired pain free. There was no chemical smell or extended break in period. Morning one was fine. Morning three was amazement. After two weeks I somehow am gloating to friends and family and writing this review. The purple sheets are a great addition. A tactile combination between silk and jersey that regulate temperature perfectly. Playing sheet stealer in the middle of the night with super stretchy sheets is fun not attempted strangulation. The bottom line is total body support, spine comfort, body temperature regulation, and price make this an easy decision.

My husband and I have been sleeping on a regular, pillow top, spring queen size mattress for the first few months of our marriage. Decided to upgrade to a king and had SO MANY friends/family recommend a Purple mattress. We did research on the different "kinds", basic, hybrid, etc. we both are "gym" goers and didn't think we'd need the extra support of the springs that's in the hybrid purple mattress. We decided on the basic purple mattress and it has been a dream so far! You can feel it forming to your body curves when you lay down (on back, side or stomach!). It's easy to sit on the side of the bed to put socks or shoes on without it compressing down. You can also feel a "cooling" effect from the mattress, which is awesome if you're a "hot sleeper". We absolutely love this mattress and are very happy with our decision!

With Purple mattress protector and regular non-stretch sheets, my wife and I are not completely satisfied because it is a harder mattress than with no sheets. We're 140 and 160lbs and were hoping for more sinking feeling when we initially lay down. It was really fun to setup, though and feels great before covers. Can't see why we have to wait 6-8 weeks for purple mattress, that would have been nice to know before buying the mattress. Still hopeful that we'll adjust to it before returning.

I have a bad back and sometimes have trouble sleeping because I can't get into a comfortable position. The Purple mattress has helped alleviate pressure points. It's probably the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. We tried memory foam before Purple and didn't like it, it's very hot and I couldn't get comfortable because I just sunk in and couldn't re-position comfortably throughout the night. We are very happy with Purple and look forward to a good night's rest every night.

Dear Purple, First off I love your NAME. Secondly THANK YOU for your CRAZY commercial that sucked my husband in...He brought it to me to watch it and next thing we(okay he didn't know) knew I was ORDERING my Purple Mattress!!! It came just how they said, we even tried the egg trick with our son and daughter-in-law(they thought we were CRAZY a RAW egg on our new mattress!!!!) They were shocked and amazed...(they want one). The greatest thing is now I can sleep in on the weekends...and I hate to get up during the week. These last few weeks I have had the BEST sleep of my life(oh yea my husband says it is the best he has ever had also!!) Bought this because my old mattress left me sore in the morning after waking up. This mattress leaves me feeling the same. After about a month to acclimate to the purple mattress there is no difference. I try to sleep on my couch during the weekends to get some back pain relief. Will probably return.
