When my fiance and I bought this mattress, we were strapped for money and had to make payment plans on it because we wanted to invest in a good night's sleep. When we first received the mattress, and for almost a year afterward, it was the most comfortable and supportive mattress we had had. Box springs looked like a bed of nails compared to this. Recently, coming up on a year of having it, it feels lumpy, we can't sleep and toss and turn, waking up covered in sweat. We have used the base they recommend, their own, the entire time, and there has been no changes, so we're a little disappointed that our $1000+ investment lasted less than a year to provide us actual quality sleep. It has come to the point where we're deeply considering seeking another mattress to just sleep well again. But, for the time that it was good, it was the best mattress and night sleep we ever had.

I've been on team purple for months now, even though I didn't own any of the products. We had been looking to replace our 12 year old hand-me-down mattress, so after months of research we settled on the purple. I expected anything to be heaven after our old mattress, however, this hasn't been heaven- yet. It has been two weeks, and while I am definitely not as stiff as I first was, I still wouldn't describe it as the most comfortable thing I've ever laid on. For the past few days my lower back has been in some serious pain, although that seems to be ending. And as side sleepers, by my husband and I have found the shoulder support to be much firmer than would be comfortable. I think my main issues have stemmed from being petite (110 lbs, 5'4"). It feels like I almost don't weigh enough to "be cradled like an egg". My husband doesn't seem to be having as hard of a transition, but he has literally slept on a rock before and been fine. We will be giving it 30 days or so cause we really want it to work, but so far I'm not sure.

I am a new member of the Purple family. My daughter purchased her first purple mattress and raved about it so much that I purchased one too. I love how it keeps me cool and there are no mounds anymore in the places I don't lay. I also purchased a purple pillow. I have chronic neck pain and the purple pillow has helped alleviate some of the pain. I don't wake up stiff and am sleeping great. I won't go back to any other kind of mattress. I am in the purple family for good!

I've jumped in with both feet into the Purple experience. Bought the frame, sheets, mattresses, protectors, and pillows. The products are all stellar right down to the packaging. In one area I thought an improvement might be possible and that was in the direction the mattress was rolled. Presently the mattress unrolls so that the gray side is up - every time, requiring us to flip it to the white side up. Now it may be that rolling the mattress in the opposite direction isn't possible due to the construction of the mattress layers and then, well, leave it alone. That's one small hiccup. I just bought another frame for the guest room, so get ready for more orders to follow.

Would have given it 0 stars but that wasn't a choice. Worst night sleep of my life. Mattress has no give and feels like you are sleeping on a rock. Impossible to get comfortable. Finally fell asleep for a few hours and woke up with a sore back and stiff neck. Eventually moved to the couch and slept much better. Will be retiring asap.

After a month I'm still amazed with a surreal feeling each time I crawl onto this fantastic mattress. Got a new platform bed, jersey sheets, and cannot find enough words to describe the comfort this bed gives me ! Mostly a side sleeper and get more hours of rest . Aches and stiffness are gone... 100 day trial run - no way I will part with this wonderful creation --- can't wait for the pillow !

Jury is still out. First few days we slept so well. Now that my body is more adjusted to this mattress it's not as good. I prefer a firm mattress, and this was firm at first. Now it sleeps more soft. My lower back hates that. Yes we have the strechey jersey sheets(any sheets would be strechey as this mattress is so short) yes we have it on properly slated base no more than 2" apart. I just can't say I'd recommend this bed yet, I hope it gets better. We paid alot and it's really heavy and I'm sure it would be a pain to get rid of it. I just wish it was more firm.

Bought the Purple on a whim. Family members had said it wasn't firm enough for them so I was skeptical. My wife and I were worried that the bed would not be able to accommodate both our needs. Wow! What a great bed. So comfortable just the right about of firmness to meet both of us.

I love this mattress. Although it's only been about a month since I have been sleeping on it, it has helped sleep much more deeper. I don't wake up with back pain. I was in an accident in 2009 and it did a number on my back, neck and shoulders. I wake up without the aches. But my truly favorite part is that I haven't heard my husband snore since he started sleeping on this mattress. I love this mattress for this reason so much more. It's worth it. You won't regret it. Get one!

I love the purple. I would stay the night at my friends just to sleep on one. When it finally came to purchasing a mattress, I was deciding between the nectar and purple. Finally decided the price different was worth it and bought myself a purple queen. I love it!
