The first two days were an adjustment period, not that it was uncomfortable but my body was more or less confused. But even in that adjustment period after the FIRST I was springing,yes springing out of bed! Where prior to our purple bed we would kinda roll to a sitting position, sit for a moment letting ourselves adjust, stretching, rubbing everything just to get blood flowing, it was awful! I have always been a side sleeper and I have some health issues because of it , but I have never been able to sleep on my back... well with my purple bed... you guessed it, acid reflux is gone and so are my morning headaches! And as far as my husband goes he loves it as well, he said to me the other morning that this bed is literally saving him... with our other bed he was laboring to breathe I the mornings because of how badly his back hurt. He has a very labor intensive job and being in that much pain was making his job impossible. Now he walks faster, stands straighter and can actually touch his toes without the slow motion bend and grown. I say all that to say, we are tight wads. This bed I worth every penny and you will not regret it. We don't! I'd buy it again and again, and I plan to, I need a bed for my camper

This mattress is great if you are a side or stomach sleeper. But if you sleep on your back (or you change positions throughout the night like me) then it may cause back pain. My back didn't feel so bad during the 100 day trial, but over the months has progressively felt worse and worse and now I have an extremely expensive mattress that I can't stand to sleep on.

For years I've looked for a better bed. Earlier this year I found out I had some neck and back issues, I was always in pain and couldn't sleep right. I've had my Purple Bed for about a month now, and it's amazing! I lay down and I'm out in 10 minutes, it's been the most comfortable nights' sleep I've ever had! My neck and back issues have all but disappeared! There is one drawback though... I never want to get up anymore! Thanks Purple Bed, you've changed my life!

I had a memory foam mattress before and it was always so hot! I also have rheumatoid arthritis so I often would wake up stiff and sore just from sleeping. With my Purple, I don't have either of those problems. I also didn't realize how much I would wake up during the night to turn over because I was uncomfortable until I got my Purple and would sleep through the night. I love it.

A friend of mine told me about the purple mattress that he saw online. I was skeptical, but needed a new matress as my old one, although a good one, was at the end of its life and was starting to cause me back aches. I could not spend more than 4 hours in bed, at which point, it felt better to get out of bed than stay in it and try to sleep. After reading the many many positive reviews about the purple matress, I figured that it was worth the gamble to buy, approximately a 1/3 of the cost of what I figured I would have to spend for a quality matress, and it would be shipped right to my door. After getting the purple matress, I do not experience any back ache and I can sleep as long as I want. What a difference! Every time I lay down to sleep, it feels so good on my back. I'm so thankful that I found out about this matress before I made a purchase. I've ordered the purple pillow and hope it feels as good as the matress! I have tried many matresses over the years, Soft Side Water, Std Coil, Coil w/ Memory Foam Top, Std Sleep Number, Sleep Number w/ Cool Gel Memory Foam, Latex and now Purple for the last 3 weeks. The Purple has no pressure points for side sleeping, but has a firm feel to keep you fairly straight. It is like no other mattress I have ever used. So far it is fenominal, it has relieved my low back muscle pain and is begining to relieve my hip discomfort also. I would definitely reccomend trying this mattress, I do not think you will be disapointed if you prefer a firmer mattres w/o any pressure points.

From the purchasing process to in-home setup, the Purple Original Mattress has been the best decision I have ever made regarding a mattress. Although Purple is not the cheapest option, the constant promos that are run help alleviate the cost. Getting the mattress set up in-home was somewhat tricky so I would suggest getting some help move the near 200 pound box that the mattress is shipping in. As another suggestion, make sure to follow the guidelines for the mattress foundation as far as the space between boards. When my wife and I moved from a 9 inch space to 3 inches you could feel a dramatic shift in firmness of the mattress. All in all, not matter the type of sleeper you are, you will be happy with a purchase of this mattress, but make sure to do some research as these types of beds do not work like other memory foam or spring mattresses.

We had originally purchased our Purple mattress about a year or so ago, however, when the sides started to sag, the company sent us a new mattress for free! We have fallen in love with it all over again. I'm a tummy sleeper, and even amidst the woes of pregnancy, I slept soundly. My husband is a side sleeper, and unfortunately(?) he now sleeps so soundly, he hardly wakes up for work in time! Good for him, maybe bad for his boss. We will always highly recommend this mattress to anyone who has an ear, and wants to listen to us gab over a bed... Yes, it really is THAT life changing. Do yourself a favor, do the thing. Get the bed.

I'm 2/3 through my 100 night trial but to be honest I think the purple mattress, king size , is starting to have a depression where I sleep. The depression pops back up when I get out of bed but when I get back into bed again I fall back into the depression. I'm going to continue the 100 night free trial and let Purple know what's going on unless they contact me first after reading this review.

People often say this mattress makes them feel better, back pain, pain in general. Not true. I mean if your a back sleeper its great! Sleeping on your side its fine but not as good imo. im 6 ft 200lbs and still wake up stiff sometimes. Dont get me wrong, the mattress is great but I can't really compare, i've been sleeping on a futon for decades, compared to that this mattress is GREAT so I am grateful, but its not as great as people make it out to me. I say if you got the extra cash go with a higher end brand. Its kinda stiff and a bit too firm sometimes.
