I got a king size original purple mattress. I have slept on it for almost a month now. O have never gotten into such a deep sleep. I went from waking up 3 to 4 times a night to not waking up till my alarm goes off. As a welder for John deere I work 10-16 hour days (optional) and usually have a lot of fatigue and pain in joints and lower back.. since sleeping on this mattress I feel like a new man. No back pain, no leg pain just a good night's sleep and a pain free day! Thanks Purple!!!

We have had the king size for about a year now. No more back pain when I wake up in the morning, and my wife no longer has shoulder pain. It is also cooler than any other bed I have slept in. And after a year there is still no ridge in the middle of the bed. We just bought a second mattress for our guest room.

I relied on customer comments about quality and comfort when making my decision to purchase my new purple original mattress. Every step of the way I have been happy with the purple experience. The original mattress is maybe a little too firm for us but is still very comfortable. Be sure to get the purple sheets, you won't be sorry, they are wonderful. Bye Felicia! Felicia being the need to have reduction surgery to relieve 20 years of back pain. I am so thankful I stumbled upon a Purple video before I dropped 3x's what my Purple cost on a memory foam. I have owned my Original Purple for 17 months and can not remember having back pain once. Even though a twin pregnancy at 41. Instead of being in pain and just miserable for 6 months of my pregnancy like I had been with EVERY other pregnancy. I found myself watching the clock at quitting time, driving straight home, do not pass go, straight home, changing my clothes and crawling into my Purple bed. Aside from being at work, you would have thought I was on bed rest, seriously! It was the ONLY time I was comfortable. Yes your bed is always more comfy than an office chair or your couch. But my last mattress had been through 10 years of pregnancy's and there was never a time I was excited to go lay in bed. No matter how much my back was on fire and a little person was trying to kick through my torso did I look forward to laying down. With this last pregnancy of twins, at a 'high risk' age (blah I am NOT old)., and also during the 3 weeks I made it feeding them with these watermelons, my girls and I lived in my Purple bed. 0 back pain. Not one time. Delivery pain yes, but not even my Purple could fix that. Although I did throw my Purple seat cushion in my van and I must say, removed all the pressure allowing a comfortable drive, all things considered. Oh and while I am sure my doctor would not want to hear, I am a stomach sleeper. So not full stomach, but that area between stomach and side, ya I was able to sleep in that position MUCH longer that before Purple. No pressure, everyone was comfy! Saved myself $3500-$5000 by not buying a top of the line memory foam mattress, saved another like $6,000 on not having surgery, AND whatever a babysitter would have cost while I was recovering and hubby was at work. So YES B.Y.E. FALICIA! If you are going to buy a mattress anyway, you will be hard pressed to find an upper level quality at this price. What exactly will you lose by giving it a try? My advice is give it 45 nights, it took that long before I noticed my back pain was completely gone. If you don't find it as amazing as I do, look into non-profits in your area. Especially ones that help with furniture. Then call Purple to pick it up and tell them they can donate it to your preselected charity. That's where it will end up anyway, may as well have a say in where it goes! ....in Midwest, Because People Matter, Inc. We lost our mattress program with Temper Pedic 2 years ago. They reduced the amount of mattresses they donate each year. Our community partners have struggled to try to find an alternative solution as many other organization's have I would imagine. But, you're going to love it so we will not hold our breath waiting for you to return it!

I enjoy my first Purple mattress so much, and so do my three sons, that we bought one for our youngest son; you know, gotta baby the baby of the family. I just recently bought one for my mother, their grandmother. We all LOVE our Purple mattresses! Thanks, Purple!

Great marketing. Great customer care and customer service to address questions. I brag to friends that I invested in purple. I am mainly a side sleeper, but do tend to sleep on stomach when adjusting. However, since the day I first sleep in new mattress (March 16th) I have not woke up feeling great. I kind of stopped bragging about purple. Bed is ok, but so far not good. I did sample the floor models at the local mattress store. The original felt pretty good, the purple 2 was a little too bouncy. I only weigh 170 lbs. The wonderful store clerk owns the purple 2 and her reason to buy that model was because she is slightly heavy than me and needed the extra firmness. Anyway. I will continue to break it in.

I love the commercials and the customer service is amazing. It's really hard not to love this company. Unfortunately I sleep very poorly with this mattress. I toss and turn all night and wake up in a lot of pain. I requested the refund via the chat line and now waiting for my email follow up to send the mattress back. Sorry purple mattress company, I really wanted this to work.

I suffer from low back and shoulder problems. It so far has solved my hip problems, allowing me to sleep without suffering from hip/low back pain. The shoulder problem still persists but I'm hoping this resolves soon. I sleep much cooler than most of the other beds I have tried including pillow top and foam mattresses. I highly recommend for anyone suffering from low back or hip problems. You won't regret it.

This bed definitely supports and almost completely eliminates hot spots and muscle pain. Don't expect to sink into the original Purple. It does not feel like a cloud, but it does work to reduce your pain. I don't toss as much on this mattress compared to my old Select Comfort. I don't always wake up pain free on the Purple, but I do find that my back feels straighter and ready to take the pressure of standing up. My advice would be to buy the 3 or for inch topped new purple mattress if you can afford it.

I can't decide if this bed is too firm yet. It is more on the firm side, but the top layer gives where it needs to. If your used to a plush pillowtop, this will probably be too firm for you, otherwise I think most will really enjoy it. Love the sheets too!
