The best thing I have ever purchased! My daughter (2) won't sleep in her bed but goes straight to this one. My husband and I no longer have pain. My sister and her husband fell in love with the pillows. They will be ordering soon! The pillows, sheets, pillowcase, and mattress.

I'm really sorry to say that I am utterly disappointed with this mattress since I had such high hopes for it. Purchasing this mattress wasn't a heat of the moment, and I'm sure like everybody else, we did a lot of research and watched many mattresses comparison videos. At last, we went with Purple because of its reviews and unique technology, and we ended up purchasing the original one because it claims to have "medium-firm feel", which would've been great for me as a back-sleeper and for my bf who is a side-sleeper. Shipping was fast, so that is a plus. I literally rushed home with excitement after seeing that it had been delivered. After unrolling it, our first impression of the mattress is that it is very heavy and smaller or shorter in height than many mattresses out there. When we finally got to feel and lay on it, we tried every test we could and were surprised by its so-called "medium firm feel." It definitely does not feel like a medium firm to us. It felt soft. And when you lay on it, you can definitely feel the grid pattern, instead of a flat surface, so that will take some time adjusting. Even with these impressions, I still decided to give it a fair try. Before we went to sleep, my bf and I sat/laid on the bed as usual to use our phones. But just after about 5-10 minutes, I could already feel a lower-back sting/pain. My bf asked if we should switch back to our old mattress, but I insisted on giving it a fair try. And, I'm glad I did. Because now I am almost certain that I will be returning it after sharing my experience. Neither is my bf nor I am a picky sleeper. Because we travel a lot, we have slept in many different kinds of beds. Since I am lighter in weight, the Purple Original made me feel like I was floating on top of the mattress instead of sinking in for the back support. Maybe the firmness is considered "medium firm" in comparison to Purple's other mattresses, but I personally think it is misleading. My bf is normal in weight and initially thought the mattress would be great for him as a side-sleeper. But he changed his mind in the morning. When I woke up for work in the morning, I realized my bf wasn't sleeping next to me. Later, I found him in the living room because he said the mattress wasn't very comfortable. So, our conclusion is that Purple Original is not a mattress for us. And, please keep in mind that since Purple uses different technologies and materials for its mattresses, the definition of its firmness may be different and it may take some time to get used to it. My takeaway from this experience is that Purple sure does a great job on marketing retention and advertising their brand. We plan on doing a review video and we are still debating if we should give Purple 2 a try, given that is claims to be "firm".

I've tried a bunch of different mattresses over the years and never really had complete satisfaction. I just recently downsized my life and my new house couldn't fit my existing king mattresses so I had to buy new bedroom sets and of course mattresses. I researched all the new mattress companies out there but was really interested in the Purple one since I bought the Purple seat cushion for my office chair and it was a lifesaver. So I decided to push the button to order Purple for my new mattress. All I can say is OMG when I laid down for the first time I was in heaven. For about the pass month I am giddy to get in bed and sleep and I have slept well each and every night. Thank you Purple! You're my sleepie time team!

This is my second mattress purchased from purple, and once again, I'm obsessed! I never slept better and my back pain and neck pain is virtually gone. My boyfriend also loves it and prefers to stay at my place for the comfy mattress!! 11/10 always chose purple!

I'm not a mattress person. And by that I mean I didn't have a preference when purchasing a new mattress so I let it up to my husband who was all gung-ho over trying this purple thing. NOW I'm telling everyone how great it is and that is never buy anything else. I sleep like a champ, wake up refreshed and NOT sore. Oh and you can get out of bed and toss and turn and not move or bother your partner. I know I have all my friends and family wanting one and you should get one too!

This mattress has no support around the edges, it's just a block of foam. If you sleep near the edge you literally roll right off. There is less useful area, so it's like having a narrower bed. Ours arrived 6 inches too short. They apologized and we waited a long time for a replacement that was out of stock. Finally, with no replacement, we gave up and used the money-back gurantee. We were paid back promptly, which I respect very very much (Thank you, Purple). But no charity would touch the mattress; 1-800-GOTJUNK ended up taking it away, and the guy said he gets these all the time. Stick with a "real" traditional mattress, and try them out in a real mattress store.

While we're all different and have different preferences when it comes to mattresses, I think there are a few things I can say with certainty about our Purple mattress. One, it's definitely cooler than our previous memory foam mattress, which is great in a warm weather state. Two, while it's very similar to memory foam in how it reacts to pressure, it's more firm than any memory foam I've slept on before. While we plan on keeping our Purple mattress, there is a small part of me that does miss the softness of memory foam. However, I don't miss that feeling of sinking in after a few minutes of being in one position, because the Purple Mattress quickly springs back into place. Three, the price and free delivery was great. Much cheaper, more convenient (and to me more comfortable) than many beds we tried in nearby showrooms while we were searching for a new bed. At this point I would never buy a bed without the 100 day trial period. Even the negative reviews mentioned how great Purple customer service was and how easy it was to return and refund, and that gave me a lot of confidence when trying this mattress. Both my wife and I are very comfortable on the Purple mattress and are sleeping much better than we were with our worn out memory foam mattress. She's mostly a back sleeper and I'm mostly a side sleeper. The biggest question I still have and won't be able to answer for a while is how well does the Purple mattress hold up. I'm hoping it lasts at least as long as a typical memory foam (5-7 years). If it does, I will consider this having been a true 5 star purchase. If it starts wearing down and not being as supportive after just a few years I'll be disappointed.

We've had our purple mattress for a few months now and I haven't woken up with a headache once since. I also fall asleep so much faster now. My husband has had pretty severe back issues and he has had more restful sleep and doesn't wake up in pain anymore either! It is just so comfortable.

I used to wake up at 2 a.m. with sharp upper spine pain for about 8 months (I had a new store bought bed I only had for 3 years). I bought the Purple Mattress and I have not woken up early nor have the sharp pain. It took about 5 days of use. It also cradles my hips and relieves my sciatic nerve symptoms.

I ordered the California King Purple mattress, and was excited to try it out. I have been battling hip and shoulder pain recently, and was hoping that the new mattress would magically solve my problems, or at least provide a significant improvement. I sleep mostly on my back, or my side, but sometimes like to sleep on my stomach. All are very comfortable positions, but sleeping on your back seems to be the best for waking up rested and refreshed. I would love to be one of the many reviewers that say "it has changed my life!", but realistically I still wake up with joint pain sometimes. That being said, I have noticed a significant change in my hip and shoulder pain since sleeping on the Purple mattress. I've been using it for a little over 2 months now, and have not looked back. I would recommend the Purple mattress to anyone looking for a new one, but would caution that it may not be the show-stopping, life-changing, health-improving, miracle you are hoping for. Just be a little realistic in your research, and you'll be just fine.
