I had a disk rupture in my lower back while working freight at a grocery store. It caused my entire right leg to go numb, making it very difficult and painful to walk at all. So, at 22 years old, there I was going into the surgery room. A number of different life-style changes has contributed to fully recovering feeling and range of motion in my leg, however, a chronic pain managed to linger this whole time. I've had the good days, but also many bad painful days that kept me indoors and taking strong painkillers. After moving into my own place, the first piece of furniture I decided to buy was a Purple Mattress. I have been able to fall asleep fast. I wake up without PAIN! I can go on with my day without even thinking of taking a pill. I have found motivation to go on long walks and work out again. I am much more focused at work and have been able to be much more proactive. I know that might sound like too many things are happening here, but it all starts with a good night's sleep. I've had the mattress for over 3 months and I have told everyone about it. Family, friends, co workers, random people, the mail-man, EVERYONE! I want to thank everyone at Purple for giving the chance to live without chronic back pain again. Thank YOU!!!

My last mattress was a soft beautyrest. It was so soft, but I always woke up with a stiff back (I always try to sleep on back rather than side to prevent long-term shoulder issues). Short story shorter, I started sleeping on my sides and stomach to prevent lower back stiffness, which then turned to shoulder stiffness. When I first got the bed I didn't know what to think. The bed was soft, yet it felt firm because it supported my lower back. As mentioned before, I had been side sleeping, so I had to get back into the habit on sleeping on my back again; it probably took two weeks to break the habit. I've had the bed for three or four months now and I love the bed. In fact, I bought two of the purple pillows through the kickstarter campaign a few months back. I'd highly recommend this bed to anyone, especially if you are seeking great back support.

I was talked into this by my son. Purchased a full size mattress, pillows and bed set. The mattress was really heavy but with help it fit perfectly on my custom platform. The mattress had what looked like a coffee stain. Wasn't happy about that but cant imagine getting this thing back into its case fro return. It will be covered anyway. The fitted sheets I ordered were really difficult to put on. Very frustrating, but then again I'm a guy and pretty lame at certain things. First night on the bed was weird. Like sleeping in a hotel room. Second night I tossed all my old pillows and just used the new ones. The bed is pretty comfortable. I would buy it again. I don't like the sheets and pillow cases. the pillow cases don't stay on and as stated before the sheets are difficult to change.

My boyfriend and I are both side sleepers but have total opposite preferences for mattress firmness (I like cloud beds, he would rather sleep on a rock). This mattress ended up being a great compromise - although I would hardly cal it a compromise because of how much we both love it. I don't wake him up as often while he sleeps when I readjust and he has been sleeping soundly through the night. My lower back soreness basically disappeared overnight! No regrets :) very happy with the original purple mattress!

The Matress wasn't bad. It felt somehow soft and firm at the same time,which I like. What I didn't like was that I could feel the grid underneath me and the there was not edge to speak of. What really got me though was the smell. The website way undersold the rubbery smell, it was not a "Slight nutty aroma". It was overpowering and stayed around for more than 2 weeks. For me, that is a deal breaker.

I've only had the mattress for a month. So far, the mattress has been good. It's firm enough that I don't wake up with back pain. My wife is a side sleeper and occasionally wakes up with back or shoulder pain. It does sleep cool, as advertised. The true test for me will be whether or not the mattress dips within the 100 day period. We'll re-evaluate at the end of 100 days.

My husband is a stomach sleeper and i am a side sleeper and we both are in love with the Purple mattress! We slept on a memory foam mattress for 2 years and it was too firm for us. The first week of sleeping on the purple mattress we woke up before our alarm a few times because we had gotten such quality sleep we weren't tired anymore! That's saying a lot for us!

We have always spent a fortune on our mattresses and always purchased the best of the best. We have both recently started having back, hip and shoulder issues. When I saw an ad for the purple mattress and the sleep trial we figured what could it hurt to at least try it out Our first impression was that it was really firm and it wouldn't be the kind of mattress you would want to lounge in bed on a lazy Saturday. However by the 3rd night we were sold! We both woke up pain free for the first time in months! A plus my husband no longer snores since switching to the purple mattress! If you are hesitating trying it out, don't! I am so happy we tried it and will be forever customers!

We love our new Purple bed! The mattress protector was a great purchase as well because the puppy tried to mark his territory on the foot of the bed. The Mattress Protector held strong and didn't let anything through, saving the mattress from the stain and the smell!! -highly recommended

I have spinal stenosis and scoliosis and arthritic bone spurs in my spine. I have had 13 years of trying every kind of mattress on the market and NONE worked. I would have cramps during the night and just generally hurting and never having a good night's sleep. The first night on my Purple mattress I slept 5 1/2 hours straight...usually I would wake up every hour or two all night long and wake up so tired. Now I wake up refreshed and ready to go.
