I chipped in on the initial crowd fund and was supposed to get a pillow. What I got instead was a rock. No give, too flat for a side sleeper, and just really weird feeling. Slept on it for two weeks trying to get used to it, but just got more miserable. Went back to "My Pillow", which isn't perfect, but way better then this thing. Way bummed and feel bamboozeled.

I was a bit doubtful at first but after learning how to sleep on it just became better and better as time when on. And top it all it has remain consistent throughout the seasons. Unlike other mattress that get extremely firm in the winter and the opposite during the summer months. We are really pleased with the purple mattress all my kids now sleep on purple mattresses. I recommend purple products to other families. Thank you to purple team and to science!!!

We have owned our Purple mattress for 2 months now and we are loving it more and more the longer we use it. Recently we stayed at an expensive hotel with brand new, very nice beds. They were the right soft/hardness for our liking and very comfortable. But when returned home to our Purple, it was even better! We have a few family members who also have a Purple mattress now and they are also reporting the same.

My new mattress has done a lot to reduce my back and joint pain. No more waking up with my hips, shoulders or back feeling pinched. No more having my arm fall asleep under me when I lay on my side. I still have some stiffness in my muscles when I wake up but compared to what I was dealing with, I'm not complaining. :)

Very disappointed on my purchase. When I first got the bed, I got a little pain on my lower back. I thought my body will get used to it but here we are six months later. Every morning I wake up with a back pain. Not the best mattress out there. It didn't work for me. :(

I must say that this mattress was a lifesaver for me. It relieved me of so many aches and pains that I had from my other memory foam mattress. Sad to say that I was kicked out by my ABUSIVE ex boyfriend who kept it!! I will be getting another one hopefully. This air mattress is death on me and a 6 month old (lol he hates it)!!

I used to sell mattresses and always had a bad taste in my mouth towards memory foam. Well after having our first child who caused terrible lower back issues, working out 5 days a week lifting weights, and running around being a stay at home mom, I decided to give Purple a try. When it came in we unrolled it and out 2 year old jumped right on it! He loves to bounce on it. My husband and I have been sleeping amazing since the first day we got it! The best decision we have ever made!!

My fiancee and I purchased the original Purple mattress to replace an 8 year old Stearns and Foster pillow top mattress that was leaving us sore in the morning. I did a lot of research on other boxed/delivered to your door mattresses to include Casper, Leesa, Purple and a few others. Purple definitely had the best marketing and seemed to be the most interesting of any of the alternatives so we went for it. The order process was easy and delivery was fast however setting up the mattress is incredibly difficult despite watching the instructional videos. They are not joking when they say this mattress is heavy. I'm 6ft tall, 230lbs but my fiancee is 5ft 110lbs and it made for a lot of heavy lifting on my end. Anyway, after setting it up and sleeping on it for a few nights I came to the realization that it is a comfortable mattress, it did alleviate the soreness we were experiencing from our old mattress however it did not really live up to its marketing. It is not really life altering as the marketing will have you believe. I'm not necessarily waking up more refreshed or with more energy. I'm not at work counting the hours until I can get back in to bed. It's overall good but not great. I give this mattress 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

Although the quality and general make up is above standard, this is just not the mattress for us. It is a little too firm for our sore, old beat up bodies. We have tried to make it work because we really do like the general make up and design, but alas it has to move on and we have to find something a bit softer. It would be great to point out in the general information that this is a great bed for someone who likes a firmer mattress. I think that could save the few returns that Purple does have. The Customer Service so far has been wonderful.

Recently purchased the purple mattress, purple platform, and purple mattress protector. Love the platform and Mattress. Dislike the Mattress protector. It's got a very vinyl plastic feel to it, and feels very cheap. After putting it on the mattress, it introduced noise, and it covered up the wonderful stitched cover softness with a plastic sliding feel. (Using sheetx as main sheets above it). I was really surprised at the quality of it, considering how nice the platform and mattress were. It was as if a totally different company designed it. I contacted purple for a refund, as was told there are NO refunds on the mattress protector. (I'd have even accepted credit or exchange. Nothing). Hopefully this review helps someone else avoid making the same mistake I did. Go for the mattress and platform, skip the protector. (Get a Malouf instead [which purple previously recommended] which you can return if you don't like. ) Never went from a happy customer to a disappointed one so quickly!
