We had our previous bed for over 15 years and you are really supposed to replace them after 10. We were so used to the grooves in our old bed the new Purple bed seemed way to firm and responsive to begin with. After a few weeks acclimation we are sleeping much better, but our bodies did need some time to adjust.

I'm a back sleeper that sleeps hot but likes it cool. My partner is a hot sleeper as well. We ordered the classic purple mattress in queen and love it. It is super comfortable with just the right about of firmness yet the waffle conforms to the body and keeps me cool. No more throwing off the blanket! We also got the harmony pillows and that adds to the comfort and coolness. We actually ordered the queen but was sent the king. Their return/exchange team was very prompt in solving the issue and always responded very quickly and friendly. Needless to say, I recommend the purple to anyone willing to make the investment.

Site was great. Ordering was easy. Order came earlier than expected. Want to give five stars for the bed but we can't. My wife says it's too hard and her hips hurt and also shoulders every night ever since we have slept on it. It's perfect for me but I can't have her hurting like that. Wish there was an option of having different levels of firmness or perhaps making a custom two halves blended together!

I did a lot of research before buying this mattress. When it arrived it was 4" too short. A CalKing mattress is 72"x84", this one was 72"x80". I contacted Purple customer service, they wanted a photo of the end of the mattress atop our foundation. A new CalKing mattress was on it's way! We received it a week later. This one was the correct length. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on! I used to be hot on my old mattress, waking several times a night to peel off a layer of bedding. When I ordered this mattress I got a set of sheets for free, my husband always wants flannel sheets in the winter. So he was skeptical on the Purple" sheets. He is now sold on the sheets. They feel a little chilly when you first slip in, less than 20 seconds later they warm up to your body temperature! I no longer have to sweat in the flannel sheets! All in all, I would recommend the Purple mattress to anyone unless you're looking for a super firm mattress. You won't be disappointed in the least! When I first started sleeping on my Purple Mattress, I was very undecided about how much I would like it because I was waking up through the night and tossing/turning a bunch before falling back to sleep. After about 3-4 weeks, I am sleeping through the night and waking up so well rested. It was a bit of an adjustment period, but now I love it! It's PERFECT!

i weigh 180 and I am a back and side sleeper and I loved it except my arms on my back kind of floated above the mattress and didn't sink at all which was ok and my husband is 150 pounds and a stomach sleeper and it wasn't firm enough for his lower back area

I have a horrible back, fatty tumors all over my spine causing extreme pain. Before this mattress I couldn't be flat on my back and if I did go on my back I needed help getting up (keep in mind I'm only 30). I bought this thinking "what do I have to lose aside from some money?" The first night's sleep was the most incredible sleeping experience I've ever had. First of all I slept through the night which hasn't happened in a decade. Secondly I woke up flat on my back and just got up. GOT UP!! On my own! Before this mattress I contemplated life because everything was so painful. It's not a cure, but it got me off some painkillers. I'm recommending it to everyone I know!

I'm a morbidly obese 6'2" man and this bed just isn't for me. Now that being said every normal sized person that came over and tried it loved it. I think my weight 350lbs caused bunching and a lack of support. The beds are made extremely well, great presentation and wonderful customer support. I can't say how the return process is as so far we got an email and have yet to move forward from sending a response. It has been 3 days now without a response.

100% believe the cooling technology works, but I don't like it. I am always cold and my husband is always warm. Not a good mattress to compromise. We live in an old house in Wisconsin and even he was a little chilly on the mattress. I had to put an extra blanket between me and the mattress in order to sleep. Also very firm. My husband liked it. I woke up with aches that were not there before. My husband would love to keep the mattress, but its just not for me.

I had a decent but breaking down mattress prior to moving. I'm so glad we decided to throw it out and purchase a purple mattress. I've been able to sleep better than in the past. We just got our purple hybrid pillows last night too, so far that best sleep of my life. I used to have a really sore upper and lower back. Massages helped but only temporary. I've noticed way less back pain in the two or so weeks we've been sleeping on the purple.
