Was pretty sure I'd like this mattress, given that its unique design and egg testing are so well described in the Purple videos. But I was still surprised how exceptionally soft and comfortable the mattress is. My old memory foam mattress, once beloved and still looking good, had become irritating. The new Purple mattress is just brilliant, and turning in each night has become a delightful and soothing experience. I did not know it was possible to so vastly improve sleep.

So my boyfriend loved the mattress right off the bat (he's a memory foam kinda guy), and after about 2 weeks of breaking it in, I fell in love with it too! I've always owned and loved pillowtop mattresses, mostly because I don't weight a lot, so memory foam mattresses actually hurt, making me wake up achy because I didn't weight enough to get down to the soft, comfort level. I also never liked how slow you sunk into the mattress, which is one of the reasons I like our Purple mattress so much! It really is a great middle ground between those who are devoted to memory foam and those who prefer a more traditional spring mattress. My biggest suggestion/recommendation for the engineers at Purple is that since these are such heavy mattresses (our king was ~140 lbs to be exact), it would have been MUCH easier if the mattress itself had had a handle sewn on to the sites to assist with lifting it on the base, since it comes rolled up in the package inside out. Unfortunately because of this, as my boyfriend and I (mostly my boyfriend) were trying to lift the mattress onto the Purple platform base, the mattress fabric got caught on one of the platform's screws and ripped the fabric in the very middle of the mattress, so before we'd even laid on our mattress for the first time, we had a big rip. It was very upsetting. So unless handles get added to the mattress, have AT LEAST 2 big guys to left the mattress up. Other than that, we love this mattress and are also very happy we bought the sheets (so stretchy and breathable) and the platform base too (no more pain in the butt bed frames.)

I've had all kinds of beds throughout my life, and most of the time always eventually woke up sore and tired. Our Purple arrived 03/02/2018, and on the morning of 03/08 as of this writing, we are still in heaven! Even though I like a softer feel, the .2 is perfectly supportive at night and I don't wake up in any pain or stiffness, which is great because my boyfriend prefers a firmer bed. I cannot recommend this bed enough, and believe you me I've not stopped talking about it once! The sheets, the pillows, the seat cushion, EVERYTHING is amazing!

Our mattress purchase was actually for our kids. My 13 year old has absolutely loved his Purple mattress. He feels like he is getting better sleep compared to the spring mattress he had before. Ordering was easy. It shipped quickly. Setup was very simple. The most difficult part of the set up was getting through all of the plastic. If I have one complaint, it is that the large vinyl bag that contained the mattress cannot be sent back and reused by Purple. This seems like a waste of material.

We have been needing a new mattress for a very long time. I have been considering the Purple mattress for the past 2 years and finally took the leap. We ordered the original Purple mattress (queen). The delivery was very fast and the set up was a breeze and was ready to use immediately. The mattress is firm, but supportive and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend a Purple mattress!

The mattress actually made my injury worse from how it feels. I'm waiting to get my third set of mri's on my back to see if the damage to my back actually increased. My daughter doesn't like it and my significant other doesn't like to sleep over with how uncomfortable it is.

My back was killing me in the weeks leading up to me buying this bed, and literally the first night's sleep was all it took . The next morning my back didn't hurt anymore!!! I wasn't paid by anyone to say this either !!! I highly recommend this bed !!!

We tried another online mattress and we returned after a few months. We were nervous about ordering online again but were reassured since we knew we could return with no issues. Delivery was quicker than expected, right away you could tell a difference. I have not had any back pain since our purchase.

My wife has wanted a Purple mattress since they first came out and I was finally able to get her one this year for her birthday. It has more than lived up to the hype. We both used to wake up with body aches; hips, back, shoulders...you name it. Purple changed all that. Now we get a solid, sound sleep and wake up feeling like we did 20 years ago, before life had beaten us down. She's a nurse and works a minimum of twelve hour days, most of it spent on her feet. She has to wake up at 0400 so it's very important for her to get a good, restful sleep and Purple does that. Now she wakes up chipper (as someone can be at four in the morning) with none of the back pain she's always had in the past.

Pros..quality...customer service...honest Cons...smell (does dissipate in a few days)...had a small problem with shipment ( ultimately resolved)....although cool initially found mattress to get just as hot as other foam matresses(problem for me, a bit disappointed
