Everything about the Purple mattress was a good experience except the match between my body and it. Packaging,customer service, online web sight, were top notch so I only wish that my sleep experience had been the same but unfortunately was not. It truly saddens me to post this as anything but amazing because I had high hopes for this. However, I must leave a review in hopes that I can save someone the money and frustration. After weeks & weeks of research, reading & watching reviews, I had decided on a Purple. For the 1st year & a half it was fantastic. I had previously been experiencing such hip, back & shoulder pain, it would wake me up in the middle of the night gasping for air and in tears. So this mattress, it was a dream. So extremely comfortable and literally the first night, NO PAIN. Fast forward a year & half later, i'm in the same pain. I try laying on my back, laying on my side & even my stomach which I can't stand doing. Oddly while the mattress itself is still comfortable to the feel, as soon as I lay down, instant pain. Then I wake up in such excruciating pain every morning & can't shake it during the day. It is currently 10PM & my hips are still aching. I've now resorted to sleeping on the couch lately, which of course had not been pleasant on my marriage. However, now my husband is in extreme pain daily as well. I am well beyond my 100 days so there is no returning. It makes me so sad that after all the hype, hopes & money, this was only temporary.

This is the absolute best mattress on the market. Hands down. I spent about 6 hours total researching the mattress that would work best for me, and Purple 4 kept coming out on top of every category. The price was very steep, but I truly believe it is worth every cent. I'm disabled on top of a chronic pain disorder and an autoimmune disease, and I can't sleep on any other surface without excruciating pain. This mattress is the only thing that has helped me. The first 3 days is very hard to get used to. The material feels so foreign, it's almost like you're going to fall off. I don't feel anything like that anymore. In fact, most regular mattresses feel incredibly stiff to me now. I can't recommend this mattress enough.

I ordered this mattress and when we received it there was something not quite right. There were places on the side that were indented and it was just not comfortable. I contacted customer service and they were FANTASTIC. Not only did we receive a new mattress, because their warranty is unmatched, but the new bed is beyond comfortable. I can not be more thrilled and happy with this mattress. My husband has never slept better and he isn't snoring as much. And I am so comfortable on this bed I wake up refreshed and no aches and pains. I am so happy that a good friend recommended Purple Mattress to us. It is worth the money and as I said their Customer Service is exceptional.

We get us a purple mattress:) the funny publicity sell it really well to us, the anticipation was excruciating! the 3 weeks were like 3 months, but one day finally it was home waiting at the door. we went to bed early that day so we can be new humans a soon as possible:)! and her is the morning we been waiting and waiting but is not so glorious as expected actually it is painful and our new bed feels weird, somehow you need to get just to it so the first week is been not so amazing :( I have to say the pain in my back is less and less but I still waiting for the glorious morning purple experience.

Seriously, this mattress is almost too comfortable. Unless I set an alarm it's almost impossible to get out of bed in the morning. I've been sleeping better with it and I never wake up sore. Pro tip: don't get the mattress protector. It's loud, hot, and uncomfortable.

I've owned pillow top, memory foam, the sleep number, etc. Nothing has come close to the Purple mattress. The support is just right and best of all, it keeps me cool!! I also strained my lumbar a few months ago and would wake up with a very stiff back. That is no longer an issue now that I have the Purple. The Purple base is also silent, and nothing like those cheap bed frames that are commonly found elsewhere. I also purchased the sheets and am very happy with them. They help keep me warm and cool at the same time. Definitely a loyal Purple customer now.

This mattress is literally one of the best things to ever happen to me in my life. It's right up there with meeting my husband and getting into the college I really wanted to go to. I'm 33 years old, 5'8", and 125 pounds, and I'm primarily a back sleeper, though I do like to curl up on my side for the last hour of sleep in the mornings. My husband is 35 years old, 5'10", and 140 pounds, and he's exclusively a side sleeper. We both have computer-based jobs, although my neck and back pain has always been worse, and it's been a problem since I was 15 years old no matter what kind of mattress I tried... until the Purple. We tried coil. We tried latex. We tried a memory foam gel topper. We tried the Casper. We worried and worried about the fact that very few beds are recommended for both back and side sleepers. I woke up with pain no matter what I slept on. Lower back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain. I was starting to despair, but I also had a good feeling about the Purple mattress because the design made so much sense to me. It's basically a smarter, better, more technologically advanced version of the latex concept, and I was just hoping and hoping they would come out with a California King size... and then they did. And it changed my life. The second I laid on this bed, I knew it was The One. The first morning we woke up on it, the first words out of the mouth of my husband, who had maintained some healthy skepticism the night before, were, "This bed is SO comfortable." We've had the Purple for about six weeks now, and pretty much every morning, he says the same thing -- and I couldn't agree more. This bed is a godsend. It is the best thing I own. My neck and back pain has improved dramatically, and my husband, who used to wake up constantly during the night, has actually managed to sleep through the whole night on it. I've seen some reviews that say this mattress is not as good for side sleepers as back sleepers. I find it incomprehensible that anyone would say this. The design is actually even more impressive when you sleep on your side, because it truly does reduce pressure points better than any other mattress I've ever slept on, which is exactly what you need for bony hips and butts like ours. The Purple truly is the "no pressure" mattress. I can't think them enough for inventing it. And for the price, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. Thanks, Purple! We love you!

The mattress is wonderful. I havent woken up without stuff joints in at least 5 years. I'm never too hot and rolling around at night doesn't wake up my SO. It's amazing. Frame, however, has been a difficult disappointment. From the second I unboxed it I had issues. The holes for the bolts went lined up correctly during manufacturing so I'm pretty sure I voided my warranty on it just to get it together. Obviously manufacturing was rushed or something to deal with high demand because that should be something that's noticed. I get creaks when moving now and then, but that's probably from how I had to force it together. And I can feel the frame through the mattress when sitting or kneeling, but not when laying at least. I would have called to have the frame replaves, but I got it Friday night and customer service isnt open all weekend. I had no choice but to force it together and use it, I needed a bed to sleep on.

Takes some getting used to but it's much better than what I has before. I appreciate the airflow; however, it's a gigantic inconvenience to not be able to throw the cover in the washer if it gets soiled or a serious stain of sorts happens. More thought could go into developing a washable (and maybe even dry-able cover), especially for the cost.
