My husband and I were both having more aches and pains and were chalking it up to getting older. We realized our pillowtop mattress was at the end of its life and took a chance on getting a purple. It did take about a month to get used to, but we are both waking up feeling better. My shoulders don't ache either.

I've been sleeping on a competitors's mattress for just over 2 years. Though it was fine, it never felt as comfy as I wanted. I decided to try the Purple sight unseen and from the first night I knew this was exactly the mattress I was looking for. It has just the right amount of cush that I was looking for. My hips don't hurt as I am a side sleeper. I turn over with ease. I truly love my new Purple mattress.

It sleeps well and is fairly cool. The top layer is comfortable for sure. The problem is after only 60 days or so there are already intentions where we sleep. That is why we got rid of our old bed. We will most likely return the purple bed and choose a different product.

After conducting some thorough research on several mattresses, I narrowed my decision down to either the Purple or Casper. I was on a budget and looked at all the online reviews and comparisons with other mattresses. I have always liked the feel of memory foam, but as I get older, I am sleeping too hot. Honestly, the first few nights I slept on it, I was not very comfortable; however, I have had my mattress for about two months now, and I am sleeping through the night and, most importantly, not sleeping hot as I was previously. The material in the Purple mattress is unique...it is not coils, and it is not memory foam, so it took me a week to get used to the different feel of the mattress, so customers need to give their Purple mattress the recommended month before judging it. I am happy with the Purple now as it has adjusted to my body type; however, I am also comfortable with the 100 day trial return policy in case it does not work out in the long-term. The only reason I am giving the Purple a Good instead of an Excellent is because I want to see how it holds up after sleeping on it for 100 days, and I am thinking of purchasing the powerbase, so want to get the full effects of the mattress. I do want to note that I also bought the sheets and they are fabulous!!

I am 9 months pregnant. Seriously, my due date is in 3 days, and I LOVE this mattress! Many pregnant women find they have to sleep in a mountain of pillows just to get comfortable and then it is very difficult to change positions. With this mattress, I don't need even one extra pillow. I can easily sleep on either side, or even my back, without getting sore hips or shoulders. I can sleep all night in the same position if I want to! It was a bit of a leap convincing myself to spend the money, because money is tight for us, but this purchase was TOTALLY worth it!

Two important points about my purple. First, there is no question but that some of the minor aches I experienced during the night and upon waking on my old mattress were almost completely absent with my purple. Second, for some years now I have been experiencing a stuffy nose at night, to the point that I have been wearing the Breath Easy strips on my nose to improve breathing, for several years. With my purple, for reasons that I cannot explain, I no longer need the Breath Easy strips. Perhaps it was toxicity from the old mattress, but whatever was causing it, it disappeared since I've been sleeping on my purple. This has made an enormous and positive difference in my sleep.

I purchased this for my daughter who was experiencing back pain when sleeping on her own mattress...would find her asleep on the couch more often than in her bed. After purchasing her Purple mattress she has no more back pain and no more sleeping on the couch.

I have always been intrigued by the technology behind Purple mattresses. So I bought one of the 1st generation pillows and did not like it. Recently I needed to replace our mattress but had to fit the dimensions of the bed frame. I narrowed down the choices and decided to try the basic purple mattress. The height was the issue with this bed frame. Because it was the lower line bed I was skeptical of how I would like it. I received the mattress on Father's Day weekend. One of my sons helped me haul it in and unpack it. I have been sleeping on it since mid-June and really appreciate it. I really notice a difference when I travel and return back to this bed. So far this has been a great mattress! Thank you Purple!

My husbands review: For 30 years I have dealt with lower back pain and a pinched sciatic nerve as a result of military service. I have tried many beds and mattresses over the years with a firm spring type orthopedic providing the best support and relief. But these past mattresses only gave slight relief for a short time and rarely gave full support. Then I saw the ads for Purple and was very impressed and shortly afterward we ordered our own mattress and frame. We were NOT disappointed. In fact, from the first night, I have had the best sleep ever, and when I wake up, I feel my spine getting more and more back into alignment. After 2 nights, that pinched sciatic nerve is no longer felt and various and sundry other morning aches and pains are gone! For the first time since I was a teen, I actually wake up feeling refreshed and regenerated and not just as tired and worn out as when I went to bed. Its wonderful to start the day off feeling refreshed and 10+ years younger. One other thing I would like to mention is that unlike memory foam mattresses I have slept on, our Purple mattress does NOT leave me too hot. All that being said, I would like to go on record stating that as long as Purple makes their products the same way as they currently do, they will be the last bed manufacturer whose products I will EVER own! Wife's Review: 5 HUGE WONDERFUL STARS!!! Purchased queen sized purple mattress and sheets. All of the above is not unlike my experience. I suffer from severe knee problems. We put our 3/4 inch sheet of plywood between our Purple mattress and our AWESOME new frame (I'm so in love with both!!!). We saw 180 degree improvement the first night!!! No more painful mornings!!! Woo Hoo!!! I also have stopped suffering from severe sinus issues!!! This happened the very first night!!! Whatever genius invented this mattress has won me over!!! As my husband said we are won over as lifetime Purple customers. This is the cleanest mattress I have ever purchased and NO chemical order! We have both stopped snoring! I am sleeping like I have not slept in years! Thank you Purple mattress inventor!!! Oh and the frame... UNBELIEVABLY quiet and stable we love it!!! We also purchased the sheets. My husband was very skeptical about purchasing the sheets as he is a staunch 100% cotton sheet lover but I talked him into them and he is glad I did! We are so much in love with them, they are so soft & cool to sleep in that we are about to purchase a 2nd set!! Need I say more...

I researched the mess out of mattresses before making this decision. Some were literally 10x what I paid for Purple and some were similar in form and function. Based on other reviews and having friends that let us lay on theirs, we put the order in. I expected a steep learning curve. I've had trouble sleeping (took over an hour to fall asleep every night) for years and have awakened every morning with back and joint pain for the last few. I'm a large man, sleep hot and a stomach sleeper so I wanted something that worked with all those things. Night #1 - I don't remember shifting around and tossing and turning at all. I also don't remember falling asleep - which is to say all the things I usually think about as I'm falling asleep. And... I rolled out of bed with no back pain. I've already talked three friends into buying one - seriously, there needs to be a referral program!!! I'm your best salesman! We are finishing week #4 on it and every night but one was exactly like that. (Too much on my mind that one night) Icing on the cake? My wife and I just returned home from an overnight anniversary trip to a ritzy hotel that bragged about their beds. I tossed and turned and my back hurts! I can't wait to sleep in my Purple tonight. For my wife, I'd say this. She had a tougher time the first few nights adjusting to it, but still woke up with no back pain or soreness. She's a back/side sleeper. She loves it now after getting used to it. Yes, I'd buy it again. In a heartbeat.
