First night of the purple mattress, the first thing I noticed is that this bed is much firmer than what I had imagined. I would not call this a medium bed, that seems like a lie. It is however very supportive and the gel grid is NICE. It is cooling and kept me comfortable all night. We will see how long it lasts however. But currently giving it a 4 star review. Could turn into a 5 star if it continues to give me support for my lower back issues.

Our old mattress had started to sag and created a hammock like sway in our backs, even though it was only about 9 years old. After our 19" thick Beautyrest, the purple mattress was unexpectedly firm. There is nearly zero motion transference, no funky smells in the mattress, and it sleeps cool, unlike our temperpedic -topped previous mattress. My husband noticed an immediate difference in how his back felt. It took me about two weeks to get used to the new mattress, but I've loved it from the start. I love that even if I toss and turn, my husband can't feel it. I love that it can accommodate regular sized sheets instead of requiring extra deep pockets. I don't like jersey sheets though- so I'll have to go and get some cotton flat sheets and pair them with the jersey fitted sheets. I love that even when I sleep on my side, I don't get pressure points on my shoulder. Definitely worth the purchase.

We were so excited to sleep on our new purple that when it arrived we slept on it on the floor until the purple base arrived. Once the base arrived; we put it together and immediately noticed that we can feel every bar. Feeling it through the mattress is uncomfortable.

I love how my Purple mattress feels! It gives me Amazing quality rest & relief from severe neck/back pains that I suffer from due to an accident I was in 5 years ago that broke my neck in 4 vertebrae & 1 vertebra in middle of my back. This is by far the Best mattress I've ever had or even laid on for that matter! I know now for sure that Purple is the Superior mattress brand!!

When I got this mattress I was very hopeful that it would work for me. I've had lower back pain for about 8 years now and I thought that this mattress might help, but I don't think that is the case, I'm still young (~20's) so I haven't exactly figured out what I need from a mattress yet, but this I believe that the stresspoints on my back are better distributed, but the mattress seems to be encouraging a parabola type shape that feels comfortable but has me waking up with increased pain. I was in the midst of moving when I bought this mattress at the end of May and just started using it at the beginning of July, but at this point I think I'll have to return it. If you're considering the mattress and have chronic lower back pain, it might not be for you. The purple pillow (which I've had for years) is absolutely the best product they have in my opinion and has helped my sleep immensely.

This mattress is fantastic! I'm a side sleeper normally but I have found that I'm comfortable on my back as well. I used to sell a competitor's memory foam mattress which was when I learned about the neutral posture position best achieved by side sleeping if you're on a "typical" spring mattress. My Purple mattress let's me achieve the same posture on my back. Get a pillow to go along with the bed for proper neck support.

Extremely comfortable bed, and ever since I made the switch I no longer wake up with neck and back pain. However, I did put the memory foam mattress topper leftover from my previous bed on top because I didn't love the texture of the grids. Kinda like sleeping on a big comfy waffle, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I think I prefer a smoother surface.

I have been looking into Purple for several months. I had a very high end 20yr mattress. After about 10yrs it wasn't very comfortable and we have tried many things to make it comfortable. After going to the Purple store and trying out their mattress and doing more research on testimonies we decided to give it a try. It's been almost 4 weeks. My husband loved it right away. I tossed and turned for a few days. For years I have had low back pain that has gotten so bad that I can't sleep more than 5 hrs without waking up with a brick hard lower back that makes it hard to walk in the morning. The first morning when I got up my daughter said I seemed more chipper and not walking funny like an old person. I still had my low back ache but not the usual pain I get. I have been sleeping in my living room for past 1yr or so because of how much pain I'm in. I usually switch off between couch and recliner. I have slept in my room on the Purple bed every night since having it. Last week I woke up one morning and realized I no longer had a low backache. I can feel my spine shifting and adjusting to the Purple mattress. We have since ordered the pillows. If you think the Purple is to hard, make sure you are using the right sheets. You have to have stretchy sheets. We bought the purple sheets, protector and base. They are worth it.

Not happy with the mattress at all. I have bad scoliosis and severe pain in my neck, back, and hips, and while I had high hopes, this mattress has only worsened my daily pain levels. My Husband called 10 days after our trail period was up and they will NOT allow any leeway on returns. Mind you, they count the 100 days from your purchase date, NOT THE DATE WHICH YOU ACTUALLY RECIEVE YOUR BED (our bed was delayed for multiple weeks due to 'popular demand', so this initially is total blasphemy)!! Which, fine, I understand that we called ten days late (didn't seem late to us considering we haven't HAD THE BED 100 days) but the multiple women we dealt with were EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I do NOT recommend this mattress to ANYONE. Not even for the quality of the mattress at this point, but because every person we talked to was terribly rude and unpleasant to work with, which is a real bummer. I had high hopes of loving what this company stood for, but it's all just clever marketing.

This is the best investment you can make for your health. 6-8 hours a day in the same spot. Why not buy a better mattress? So I did. And I love it. I used to sweat and wake up often but, that's no more. My sleep apnea has also decreased its severity. Honest opinion, it's worth it. Just buy it, you'll thank yourself.
