We've had the Original Purple for about 3 weeks. I'm a back sleeper and my fiancé is a side & back sleeper. It feels great for back sleeping - it really contours. The side sleeping is a bit harder, where she feels more pressure points and sometimes still wakes up with a sore back. We also received a Purple Pillow, which I'm using. It's pretty flat, but feels comfortable if I use another thin bed pillow over the top of it.

This is the best bed we have ever had. There was about a one week adjustment period in the beginning, but we sleep so much better, we don't roll around as much, and our body aches and pains feel so much better! Absolutely reccomend this bed. I would also recommend getting the matress cover at the same time. Wonderful bed!

I enjoy the customer service at Purple, the marketing is Genius but so far my wife and I have spent 20 plus nights with shoulder pain. We are both lighter weight people and side sleepers and this Mattress doesn't seem good for side sleepers. We ordered during the COVID-19 crisis, what I think we need is a purple 3 but we cant afford it. I suppose we will probably send it back and go with another company assuming they won't move on price.

We have tried lots of different mattresses over the years--innerspring, water bed, back to innerspring, then to sleep number. We loved the sleep number until I had my back fused and I just couldn't find a setting that let me rest. I would wake with my back stiff or my neck stiff. Our doctor suggested that we might get relief with a Purple Mattress. We ordered one that day and when it came we rolled it our on our box springs (should be called board springs) and within a minute it had regained its' original loft. I climbed in the first night with a little skepticism thinking "it will take a few nights" to get used to this new mattress-----not so. From the first night I slept like a 7 yr old. It has been wonderful! I'm 6'2" 210 lbs and my wife is 5 feet and heavy. We both love this Purple Mattress. I would recommend one to anyone that really enjoys calm quiet sleep. I'm looking forward to a "Purple Pillow". I just bought a "My Pillow" and it works well, no more stiff back and painful neck. Go for it, you will be glad you did. from Idaho Falls

At first the mattress was weird to sleep on because it was something new and different and I didn't think my first night that I would be able to get some sleep. But then without realizing it I passed out and woke up and my back felt amazing! Highly suggest and it feels good to get used to this mattress!

If so then in my opinion this bed is perfect for couples who snuggle throughout the night. I have really bad lower back pain and this bed has actually relieved it quite a bit. My boyfriend and I love this bed and so does our doggies lol. Just know that it takes getting used to but after a bit I think you'll fall in love.

I LOVE IT!! Ive had severe backspin for so so many years , After sleeping on my purple mattress the first night I felt the difference in my mood and my back pain was not as sharp as it usually was. After about 2 weeks my backpain was GONE!! Im not joking. Every morning I was in so much unbelievable pain before but now no more! Thank you Purple Mattress!!!

First off, the mattress is a combination of soft & firm in my opinion! Soft enough to be comfortable, but also has just the right amount of firmness to support! Been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks now and I'm sure my body is still realigning itself due to the really firm mattress I had prior to the Purple I have today! However I don't have the morning back pain that I had prior to purchasing the Purple, so that alone tells me it's a better mattress! No complaints as of yet from my wife either and that's even more proof it's better!!! Lol, I've pretty much always slept through the night, aside from an occasional waking to use the restroom, but lately that's even occurring less! I'm not gonna lie to you and say I'm 100% satisfied yet, but I will say so far it seems to be a pretty awesome mattress!

My brother-in-law was always talking about how amazing his Purple bed is. You wouldn't believe how frequent the conversation was brought up. Despite the ridiculous commercials, my wife and I decided to give Purple a shot. With the 100 day guarantee, it was worth a try. Let me tell you, we've never slept on a better mattress. In fact, when we went away for a few nights to visit my parents, we slept on a VERY expensive mattress. After two days, my wife was experiencing back pain and couldn't wait to get back to our Purple Mattress. And the time my sister house sat for us? After that night she spent her time figuring out how long it was going to take her to save up enough money to buy her own Purple Mattress. This thing is LIFE-CHANGING!

We just bought twin size mattresses for three of our kids, and they've been great. One daughter had gone through three other mattresses prior with complaints, but now loves her purple mattress. The other daughter is hemiplegic and has poor sensation and circulation on one side of her body, and the purple mattress has worked well for her too. (The third kid is too young to have an opinion). We also have a king size purple mattress for our bed. I will say that I was skeptical, but would now highly recommend purchasing the stretchy purple sheets. They really help you get the greatest benefit out of your mattress investment.
