Me and my wife just bought the purple 2 and it is amazing we've had it a few days now but when I say it's worth it, I mean it. The first night we slept on it was the best sleep I've had in years and what was the most surprising thing was the first morning after the first night was the first day in 4 years that I woke up with no pain in my back. So if your like me and my wife and your on the fence about it I'd recommend the purple 2 it's more on the expensive side but it is well worth it.

I purchased this bed in hopes the goldilocks ad didn't mislead me. I have been sleeping on the bed for about three weeks now and I'm thoroughly pleased with results so far. My precious mattress was a temper foam that broke down in only four years of use. I had aching hips and back daily from sleeping on my former mattress. With the Purple I don't struggle to get out of bed. Almost all my joint pain is gone and I know it will get better the longer I sleep on my Purple. Now I just need someone to haul off my old mattress to the dump. Purple for life!

I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone without existing back issues. The mattress didn't aide in relieving my back pain, however I have a family member that now uses the mattress and says it's the best because they have slept on! Superb construction and materials.

The mattress is great, the shipping process was really bad. No tracking information, the package literally didn't move and I was told at one time it was likely going to be declared a lost package- how do you lose a mattress?! Once it finally arrived the mattress has been great!

My husband had wanted a new mattress for quite some time now. The problem was our current mattress was a little more than 2 year. It was an mlily memory foam mattress that started out great, but over time you began to feel indentations where you slept. It was becoming uncomfortable but it wasn't that old and I didn't want to spend the money. Going on year two my back really started hurting and I could barely sleep through the night. I read a lot of the reviews for the purple mattress and they were mixed, but for the most part positive and the reasons varied. One of the reasons I was wary was my husband ordered the purple pillow at Christmas and it smelled for two months. It was a rather strong plastic smell that I couldn't stand. I finally caved and ordered the purple mattress. It took about a week to get here and was delivered in its 'small' box. We opened the box, unwrapped it and rolled it out. It was ready to go. No odor either, which I was very happy about. I can tell you from the first night I slept on purple my back stopped hurting immediately. It's an interesting sensation because it does have a soft feeling when you first crawl into bed, but it's very supportive while you are laying down and I am one who needs a firm mattress. I sleep very well now and don't toss and turn like I used to. It is cooler than the memory foam mattress, but I feel it's slighly warmer than a conventional mattress. Not a deal breaker as I'm always hot anyway! One final note, I am about the pickiest person there is when it comes to mattresses and a real Goldilocks, four mattresses in less than 10 years. Some of the reviews mentioned they could feel the grid and I will say that's true and you do realize it's different than a conventional mattress especially if you run your fingers overs it, but it's so comfortable when you are laying down I don't notice the grid at all. We got the 2" purple and I am finally getting a good nights rest! For us the purple mattress gets five stars!

I've had the mattress for a couple of weeks now. I like the top layer & how it conforms to your body. I do wish the top later of memory foam was slightly softer. The mattress doesn't seem to absorb & retain excessive amounts of body heat, which is nice. I do which there were grab handles since the mattress is so heavy, but for how little it gets moved it doesn't really matter. I don't understand why it's not rolled the other direction so when it's opened it's not unrolled upside down. I'm 6'1" male, 190lbs, and sleep on my back.

When we first got the Purple it was awesome- I would actually giggle when getting in bed because it was bouncy and super comfortable. Best sleep ever for the first month. We bought the new purple mattress (not the original) hoping that with the separate springs we have the extra support needed. I am 5'4 and under 150, in less than 6 months the "bounce" on my side is all but non-existent. It feels like very other mattress and a bit worse. Right now I am tossing and turning because of lower back pain, I switch to my side but have hip pain; it feels like I am completely out of alignment now. Sadly we are out of the 100 day trial so now we are stuck with a very expensive king size mattress that uncomfortable. 100 days is not enough to have an honest break in period, its just enough to get stuck with the mattress. :(

I bout the original purple mattress 3 years ago. It had some issues and I had to do a claim for warranty. That proses went smoothly. But the new mattress the has sense replace the original purple is much thinner and very stiff. I wasn't very happy with that. So now my only option is to spend more money on either a better purple mattress " 2,3,4 " or pick a new manufacture all around. It's kind of disappointing

The last couple of times my wife and I bought mattresses, we hadn't been lucky. We tried a Sleep Number and never got comfortable with it. We bought a Serta Memory Foam and woke up every morning with a back ache, and never felt like we had had a restful sleep. Fast forward to Purple. The moment we laid down on our new mattress we had the feeling this time we made the right purchase. It felt comfortable from the get go, and now after almost two weeks of restful nights, we know that we are definitely going to keep this mattress. I am not waking up several times at night now and feel much more rested, when I get up in the morning. For me and my wife your mattress is everything your marketing promises.

After having the typical experience of someone who watched the videos online and said I didn't need expert installation, once the bed was all set up, inflated, and had bedding put on, I sat down. I was immediately disappointed. I sank way too low, but I had already put the old mattress outside and it was raining, there was no turning back. A few hours later I decided it was time to go to bed and I climbed in. It was completely different than sitting! My weight was evenly distributed, by joints were supported, and it felt like heaven. I slept hard that night, and haven't had much trouble falling asleep since I got it.
