The bed is rough when you first start to sleep it needs to be softer or simulate more of a real mattress on top. Once your sleeping in it it's good. It's just that initial 20 minutes, is a little uncomfortable. Definitely not a mattress for people who sleep on their stomachs. First off it feels terrible no to mention it causes knee problems. I used to wake up all the time with neck pains and back pains but now I wake up every morning refreshed and ready to start the day. Also, I used to wake my fiance up every time I moved (I'm a bit of a wild sleeper) or left the bed. Now, he doesn't even realize I left for work some days! The only reason that I am giving four stars and not five is because of delivery. I was given an expectation of 1-3 days for shipping but it ended up being more like 7-10 business days, which left me without a mattress/bed for about 2 weeks. It was a huge inconvenience but the bed has made up for it.

I just want to say that love my purple bed. I have 4 now for the family. Sleep great!! Don't hesitate to purchase one, the customer service is awesome. If you have any issues, they will make it rite. Just for reference, I am a past Tempur-pedic owner...

I was having a lot of trouble with my old mattress. I'm only 22, but every morning I'd wake up with pain/tightness in my back and shoulders. This mattress is perfect! It relieves all my pressure points. I haven't woken up with back pain since I purchased it! It has also stopped me from getting so hot when I sleep. I love it!

I've had the purple mattress for a couple months now and it's definitely the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on (though to be fair the reference pool is small). Even my dog has noticed a difference and definitely tries to sleep in the bed more often. I've had better, more restful sleep on this mattress and it definitely helps my sore joints and muscles since I work a physical job. My only complaint is that it has made me realize how uncomfortable my pillows are and I've started to get some neck pain from that. The mattress itself is quality and comfortable!

I bought the Base model Purple mattress as I was sleeping in 20 minute intervals a night and waking up sore as the pillow top mattress I had was so hard. Wanting true comfort I believed the marketing on the Purple product so I took a chance and splurged. It arrived in great packaging and now I sleep in about 2 hour intervals as the product is a bit better but not enough to suit my personal needs. I would have been better off shopping local mattress stores and testing multiple products at better price points. Wish I could trade this one mattress as I believe I could have bought both a box spring and better mattress for the same investment. Now the mattress budget is gone and I am just living with my decision to gamble on the Purple until a future point in time. Lesson learned. Test mattresses before purchasing.

My boyfriend and I are both side sleepers but have total opposite preferences for mattress firmness (I like cloud beds, he would rather sleep on a rock). This mattress ended up being a great compromise - although I would hardly cal it a compromise because of how much we both love it. I don't wake him up as often while he sleeps when I readjust and he has been sleeping soundly through the night. My lower back soreness basically disappeared overnight! No regrets :) very happy with the original purple mattress!

I got the king size mattress. So much space I love it. But the best part is I actually sleep now too. 2 years ago I was in a car accident that messed up my back and neck pretty good. Few herniations and bullying discs and what not. So it mad it hard to sleep pretty much in any position. The first night on the mattress it felt absolutley amazing. So amazing that I slept right through my alarm clock, for about the first 5 mornings. I can sleep on my back, side, and stomach without any issues now and I get a great nights sleep. I love it, coming from someone that is a horrible at sleeping haha.

We slept on this mattress for the first few days without a mattress pad. It was a strange feeling as I felt like I was floating on the mattress. I have issues with vertigo so it enhanced that feeling which is not good. Then my girlfriend put on a mattress pad and it was heaven ever since. I love this mattress and wish I never had to sleep on anything else. Make me not want to go on vacations as I know no bed will come close to the comfort of the Purple mattress. I bought the seat cushion soon after since I sit on my butt for long spells at my job. My butt does not get sore anymore. I highly recommend this also. --Brian S.

I never thought I would be able to afford a bed that could give me the sleep that purple does. No more aches and pains for my old mattress. And the sheets and pillows are definitely things to consider getting as well. Having it all makes it even better. Only problem I have is the king size pillow cases are too big for the purple pillow, but other than that amazing.
