I ordered the mattress because I was led to believe it would provide me comfort to my shoulder pain. I'm a side sleeper who needs a good mattress and Purple is good but has done nothing for my shoulder pain. It does not sink in on my shoulder pressure points. .

I really love it. It is a bit firmer than I would have normally bought, but its still rather comfy. My wife says it could be improved by adding some more cushion to the top layer. She really likes pillow top mattress. I wonder if it could be improved by just increasing top layer another inch or so. I would certainly buy again, as I am glad we bought it. Great mattress overall, 4 stars because (we were warned by previous reviews) my wife and I do experience our arms going numb often when sleeping on our sides, something with our past (more firm) mattress we did not experience - so now we sleep primarily on our back or stomachs or careful where we place our arms when on our sides. The patented grid is definitely nice, but makes it more soft than desirable for a side sleeper. And most importantly, we couldn't be more pleased to finally be able to sleep with a dozen eggs without them cracking - something we were NEVER able do with our old bed. Overall, pleased and will possibly get one for our son since he too has trouble not breaking the eggs he sleeps with.

For 5 years I have been sleeping on a Serta iComfort Prodigy iii, memory foam mattress. And for years have woken up with lower back pain. After sleeping on the Purple mattress for two weeks, I no longer wake up with back pain. And in fact, for the first time in years, I have slept longer than 10 hours straight. The mattress offers the right amount of support, and you don't have what feel like hard spots, when your weight is concentrated in one area. It feels as though there is zero pressure on your body as you sleep. It. Is. Amazing! I can't speak highly enough about the Purple mattress and recommended it to all of my friends. -Rob

We purchased a twin size mattress and pillow for our 16 year old son. We have been VERY happy with our purchase. He has been sleeping like a baby and is no longer complaining about being achy. The mattress took a few weeks to get but it was definitely worth the wait.

I was so excited to get my purple bed! I'm 33 years old and have slept on hand me downs or free beds my entire life. This was the first bed I ever bought new. I spent weeks testing beds in stores and saw a Casper commercial, so I started researching and found Purple. I decided on Purple and after getting it set up and sleeping on it a couple days, I hated it. I was so upset and felt like it was causing me physical pain! BUT, as I read reviews, I saw that many people (including the Purple geniuses) said to give it at least 30 days because of poor sleeping conditions prior to. It was a rough 5 weeks for me, but I could tell it was getting better each night. I have now had my Purple for almost 9 months and it is purely amazing. I have chronic pain and sleep issues and this is the one thing I look forward to when I'm away for work or play for a few nights! Be prepared for a few restless nights to start, but it is worth it once you get past that stage!

I have the original purple and it has helped my lower back tremendously. I used to be hunched over like old man when getting out of bed but since sleeping on the purple mattres my lower back has gotten much better. Am I 100% pain free? No, but I am a lot better off after getting the purple bed

It's really flat and I'm not used to that. I've slept with it for a month now sometimes still struggle I just wish it was thicker. It is comfortable once I'm asleep. I sleep on my side. And I've slept with a contoured pillow for years. I'm just used to more support.

I order my purple matress and throw out my old one the day before i was suppose to recieve my order. All to then find out that my shipment would be delayed another half week which left me sleepy on my living room couch. Then day of arrival comes and im forced to stay at home from 2-6 and the order gets to me late even with the four hour window. ( i know this is probally not your guys fault but it should be talked about) I Have my mattress now and thats all that matter to me. It feels great and has everything that's advertised i hope to give a follow up review with a five star rating soon.

I have degenerative disc disease so it is important that I have a mattress that does not exacerbate the problem. Since purchasing the Purple bed a month ago, I have been able to sleep much more comfortable and I am in less pain in the mornings. I hope, that the longer I sleep on it the better I will feel. I definitely recommend this bed to anyone. The only thing I don't like is having to use jersey sheets. I don't mind the bottom, fitted sheet, being stretchy, but I hate the top sheet to be stretchy because I like it to be krisp and stay in place.
