I'm 5'10" and 190lbs and I sleep on my side. I've been sleeping on the bed for right at 30 days and i can not get my lower back and hip to stop hurting. Im not saying my back and hip are hurting because of the purple bed im just saying it isn't getting any better. I personally dont think I sink down enough for a side sleeper. When Im on my side i feel like im laying on a small beam and I could rock either way. If i were sinking into the memory foam I think i would feel more stable and sleep better. I think purple is a great company but their bed is just not for me.

The Purple bed is comfortable and firm. At first, we thought it was just another temper pedic but it really does push back and remain firm. The 4 star rating is because the delivery was not within web site timeframe due to a factory issue We feel in the future, we will replace any existing mattresses with Purple.

Absolutely pleased with my new mattress. Supportive and so comfortable. I have many back issues and since sleeping on a purple mattress I no longer wake up with back pain and I can comfortably sleep on my stomach which I could not do on my old worn out mattress. Best purchase I've made.

We have had the twin XL mattresses and the Power Base for two weeks now and we love them. The power base makes it so comfortable to sit up in bed to read or watch tv. The massage feature is great. Just using it for a few minutes is a pleasure. I used to have to turn from one side to another several times at night because my wrists and hands would go numb. Now I can lay on my side almost through the night. And in the morning when I get up I can walk very comfortably. I used to be stiff and sore when I got out of bed. I'm glad I did the research and discovered the Purple mattress. It's not your typical mattress for sure. I love it!

Spent days on review sites and Youtube watching reviews trying to decide on Casper, Nectar, Puffy, or Purple. I have used memory foam for decades and decided to give Purple a try due to the unique technology behind it. I am so glad I did, and my wife and I will never be going back. It has solved all our problems overnight. We have been sleeping on it for about two weeks and we are no longer hot at night, have back issues, and are sleeping more completely through the night. The model we have is the original Purple Mattress King size, not the hybrid. For our average size and weight, the thickness and size are perfect. The top layer of material used is very responsive like an inner spring mattress but without the discomfort. The only drawback with this material is the mattress does transfer motion ever so slightly more than a standard memory foam. This however is not a deal breaker and I have not noticed it after the few nights of sleeping on it. The firmness is slightly more on the side of firm to medium firm. Sitting on it you sink right in, laying on your side you can feel this firmness in more detail. I thought I would hate it as I prefer a very soft mattress, but after just a few nights I am sold forever. With this additional support came the relief in my lower back pain and the longer sleep times have helped with feeling more refreshed during the day. I use a sleep monitor and tracked the difference. I am getting 15 more minutes of REM sleep and 45 more min of deep! These numbers do not seem like much but in the long term they are huge in helping your body recover. Delivery was good and arrived on time. For proper delivery, especially a King, this should have been more on the white glove side. If white glove delivery was an option, I would have paid for it. The older FedEx delivery man who delivered this by himself, was very overwhelmed. Why would they accept such a large awkward package for delivery by one person? Had I not coincidentally been home at the same time to help, the task would not have been completed to my door only to the garage or more likely the street. This in turn would have left it in the rain until our return later in the day. Our driveway is very steep making freight delivery impossible without a forklift or team effort. Some may not have as much of an issue with this but worth noting. Overall, I would highly recommend giving this a try. It is a fantastic product that really shines when we wake up feeling refreshed and without any more back pain!

I generally have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I've haven't had the mattress long but I have already noticed a difference. I used to sleep on a pillow top and this offers more support. I can tell in my lower back when I get up in the morning. I have already recommended an upgrade to family members.

We needed to find a replacement mattress with no outgassing, no formaldehyde, no . . . . nothing since I'm allergic to practically everything. As it turns out, this mattress is simply AWESOME!! My back does not hurt after a nights sleep. Sigh. So great! O, and this is the second purple we have purchased.

My mattress didn't last a year before we had to turn it because of the divot made. Mind you that we are not large people. I'm 125 and my husband is 175. Not quite another year and we turned it again and added a topper.... that didn't last. 2 of the friends that I have referred were also experiencing the same thing. They warrantied the bed and had excellent customer service but the product just didn't last.

I'm glad I stumbled upon Purple. I've noticed a significant improvement in my sleep. It's not drastic nor life changing, but it's certainly better. I also like how the company is dedicated to their customers. It's always a plus to deal with pleasant folks. With that said, I would recommend.

This mattress has been so great. It took a couple of nights to break in, but after over a month of having it, I cannot say how much I love it. For some background, I rode horses for ten years with scoliosis, and other spinal issues that weren't detected. Until a riding accident hurt it so bad I wound up going to a doctor, who ultimately said that I needed to stop riding. He told me that in addition to my scoliosis, that I had a 17mm hip dip with my left hip, Along with both hips being tilted forward. He also told me that I had a grade 2, almost 3 spondylolthesis. I also have a complete tear of the bicep at the long head that I sustained when I was 17, but wasn't actually diagnosed until I was 26, so there is a lot of scar tissue build up. I am a side sleeper, but because of my scoliosis, it hurts to sleep on my left, which means I go to my right. On other mattresses, memory foam or hybrids, I would wake up with a horrible shoulder ache, so I tried sleeping on my back. Because of the spondylolthesis, and my hips, my pressure point would wear other mattresses out super quick, even if I rotated them. This left my hips unsupported, giving me horrible back pain, and making sleep hard to obtain. We now have the Purple 2 and it shows no sign of wear, and it has been 2 months. It keeps Support's my hips no matter how I sleep, so I don't wake up in pain every morning, even if I went to bed sore after a long day. I also can sleep on my left and right, because the polymer doesn't put unnecessary pressure on my shoulder or scoliosis. For the first time in years, I sleep soundly, and wake up refreshed!
