I bought this because of the extended video ad and the money-back guarantee. I like it a lot. I could be a *little* softer for my taste, but I'm going to keep it. When I lie down at night I say to myself, 'self, this is the most comfortable mattress in the universe." But around 2 or 3 a.m., when I'm lying on my side, I think, 'gravity is strong tonight, and I wish this had a little more give, 'cause my shoulder kinda hurts." But overall a very good mattress.

My husband and I have had our purple original for 3.5 years. We purchased it with the metal platform (when it had a life time warranty). We are both over weight and easily put 450+lbs on this mattress every night. This mattress feels the same as it did on day one! Before this mattress, my husband used to wake up in the middle of the night with back pain and it would take him hours to go back to sleep. Since Purple came into our lives, he goes to sleep, almost as soon as he lays down, and sleeps through the night, waking up with no pain. When we first got it, it seemed a little more firm than we were expecting, but after a week, we were used to it and now we get sad when we have to travel and sleep on a different mattress. Purple needs to do a partnership with some hotels (Please!). We initially loved the metal platform, it was squeak free and the underneath storage was wonderful, until about 2 years, then it became squeaky with every movement. When we contacted purple, they were "sold out" of the frames, so sent us the basic adjustable frame(No massage or fancy features, just a remote and basic movements), at no extra cost, though this got rid of our extra storage space, it is a decent frame. And the customer service was top notch. All in all, we our in love with our mattress, even after 3.5 years and plan to be Purple customers for life.

I ordered this bed for my son whose last bed was badly worn out and giving him back aches. He loves his new oriole mattress. He says it is the most comfortable mattress he has slept on. Plus-no more low back pain. The only negative is that it doesn't seem to be the same width as a traditional queen mattress. There is about 3-4 inches of the queen foundation that isn't covered by the mattress. The last queen was a perfect fit. Not sure why this mattress isn't the same size.

Nothing about the purple mattress is hype... It is all real! This mattress has changed my sleep and my productivity at work. I do not wake up tossing and turning anymore and I no longer get cramps in my back! Game changer, life changer...purple mattress forever!

Ive had bad sleep patterns, and joint pain for years. When I first laid on my Purple bed I thought "this is something different" My body didn't sink in like memory foam causing sagging in my back, purple mattresses keep their form and met with my body's natural curves, and seamlessly molded to my ever moving body in bed. It helped me with tension headaches and hip pains. It never needed an amount of time to puff up and then reform as i moved in my sleep. The only down side is its' harder to get out of bed when all I want to do is lay in comfort all day. S'est la vie. I really cannot recommend this bed enough, you've got to feel it to believe it. And the 100 nights return policy is remarkable, but I knew by night one I was NOT giving this bed up. Where you sleep sets the stage for how your body heals and repairs its self mentally, physically and spiritually. I feel so grateful to have this and know every night I get to go home to comfort and healing. self care is key to a happy life, and this is one self care I'm gad I invested in.

It's a good mattress, but after reading hundreds of reviews and researching for a months, it certainly didn't live up to my expectations. I sleep well, but really not much better than I did on my 10 year old matress and box springs. I've slept better on memory foam mattresses. I'm not knocking it...it seems like it's alleviated pain for a lot of people, but I wasn't experiencing any bad pain before, so I don't have that aspect to review. Also, I'm pretty sure I broke one of the grids on the top of the mattress yesterday when I put my knee into it. I heard and felt a pop under my knee, and I wasn't putting all of my weight on it (I weigh about 180), so I'm not sure how durable this thing will be.

I have had my purple mattress for about a month now and love it. It is very comfortable sleeping either on your side or on your back. It is the only mattress that when I sleep on my back, my back does not hurt afterwards. I normally prefer soft mattresses, but this is firm while being very supportive. I would definitely recommend a purple mattress to anyone looking.

The sheets are quite HOT. Like, sweat till you can't breathe anymore, HOT... My girlfriend and I bought a mattress and sheet set and tried it for the first night. It was very comfortable for around 30 minutes, then the heat started to kick in. We contacted Purple about the lack of ventilation and how hot it was to see if we were doing something wrong... they recommended we buy more Purple Sheets... We obviously didn't continue correspondence with them anymore. After we changed back to regular silk sheets, it was a night and day difference. Much cooler than with the regular Purple Sheets. The bed is springy and almost feels like a modern water bed. I would recommend the bed to anyone. It is quite comfortable.
