We really really wanted to like this bed. My mom actually turned us on to the idea because she has a purple and LOVES it. From the very first night of sleeping on this mattress i would get up with awful stiff shoulder and back pain. ive switched pillows several times and nothing has helped. we were sleeping on an old run down mattress before and i never woke up with this kind of pain. sadly we will be returning this mattress.

Loved the bed right from the start, but after almost four years, it is changing shape even though I rotate it every three months. The side I sleep on doesn't have the bounce back to form it did at first and I am by now means obese. The other issue I have is that it feels smaller than all other queen mattresses I have ever had.

First off... This thing is heavy and definitely a two man operation to setup. Secondly... A deceptively incredible mattress. Believe it or not when you sit or lay on a purple mattress for the first time or the 100th you don't "feel" the plush luxury of a 3k mattress (I know... I own one). Rather you perceive this mattress to be a well made medium firm to firm mattress (and not one that will contour to your body like memory foam). So your thinking support, but not plush comfort. WELL let me tell you that's not the case. The best way for me to describe it thru time. What I mean specifically is when your laying in a certain position for an extended period of time your becomes uncomfortable (on most mattresses) and the natural reflex is to move or shift to regain comfort. Myself or my wife have not had that issue once since owning this mattress. Whatever position you lay in and no matter how you lay your comfortable... period. To be more specific I don't experience any stress or fatigue on any of my body parts which to me is ultimate comfort.

I have a lot of issues work joint pain and always used to wake up so sore on my old bed. I couldn't believe the difference in the Purple bed. I have a king size bed that has actually two twins put together. I ordered just one twin to make sure I really liked it. I am ordering the other side today!

I was using Temper-Pedic for 10yrx without issue. One day, suddenly I got a back pain, been having 6-12months. Switched bed couple times but still not working until come cross from a friend, so me and husband decided to check out in display room... and we ordered it. Now I am in heaven!!! This mattress is amazingly good that magically solved my back pain. Plus, the purple pillow is super good too.... nothing more to say you just need to try it but of course it may not fit everyone but works perfectly for me. I am a side sleeper with occasionally back sleeper...

Was very upset as a previous purple mattress owner! The new mattress was not the same as the first one I bought years ago. The new one had way too much memory phone and the pillows were just cut out of left over mattress. Very cheaply made also way too heavy

I love it! The first couple nights were an adjustment. But they inform you to take a month to let your body adjust to sleeping the correct way. After a couple weeks I have amazing sleep at night and am not tired when my alarm goes off. A lot of the time, I wake up before my alarm! I would definitely purchase another Purple mattress !

We now have 2 king purple mattress. If you are under 300lbs the original is all you need. We absolutely love this mattress as my wife likes soft beds and I like firm beds. We both love this bed! It doesn't matter side sleeper, stomach sleeper, back sleeper this one is for everyone. And my back pain is gone with this mattress. We also hate sleeping on anything else. When we are at hotels we are like, "this is not a purple!" Buy this thing now ans you won't regret it!

Let me preface my review with this: my husband and I have lived near the Equator for a long time before settling in the Upper Midwest. And our bodies adjusted to a "cold" night being around 74F inside the house. So while the makers of the bed claim it is "neutral" in regards to heat, and others indicate it is pleasantly cool, we have found it to be COLD, even after 3 weeks.I will explain how we cope with that factor later on. But we LOVE how it feels and how we sleep because: 1. I have had major chronic pain in back, hip, neck and shoulders off and on since about 1999. I finally found some diet and structural correction that was working, but the practitioner told me he couldn't fight 8 hours a night on a bad bed (my old mattress). Within a couple days, my structural correction held and has held for the last three weeks. The guy told me to only come back if I hurt. I HAVEN'T GONE BACK. 2. We travel for work a great deal, and of the many types of beds in different parts of the world and in different hotels and homes, this is by far the most soothing for our aching tired bodies and most restful. 3. We purchased the purple mattress around 2 months ago. It replaced a 14-year-old traditional spring mattress that was worn down and indented with body shapes. My wife has been complaining about hip pains and I had body aches from sleeping on this old mattress. Once we unpacked the purple mattress, and slept on it after 2 nights, the hip and back pains magically disappeared. My only complaint, I should have purchased this purple mattress sooner. My wife and I love it.
