I found this mattress and decided "why not, nothing can be worse than the mattress we are sleeping on now". Boy, am I glad I took the chance on Purple. The first night I slept better than I had in years! Everyone who has come over and checked out our bed LOVES IT! The ONLY problem is that we had to buy a mattress pad, because of the warrante and we're not able to find one that had any give in it, so it does effect the bed's performance a bit. We already used jersey sheets but the protector is what we are having a problem with. IF you don't want to worry about the 10 year warranty by maybe getting an accidental stain on the bed, then I highly recommend trying a Purple.

It took my husband and I 2 years to decide on a new bed! We finally got to the point that we had no choice because we were waking up with sore backs and numb arms. We had a queen sized pillow top and it had imprints where our bodies slept. One Sunday a spent hours reading customer reviews and decided to order a King, base, sheets, mattress pads and two plush pillows! It was as easy as clicking a few buttons and giving up a good chunk of money, but sleep and health are worth it. We have less aches and my arms haven't fallen asleep, just me! I haven't slept this good in my entire life! I would highly suggest the original purple bed! It's so easy and so worth every penny! Just know that it is a cold mattress so I have had to add an extra blanket to my side of the bed. Thank you Purple!

I love my purple mattress! My boyfriend and I have been sleeping on it for the past month and I have definitely seen a change in my sleeping patterns. I usually wake up a bunch throughout the night and get extremely hot but the cooling aspect of the purple pillow + purple sheets + purple mattress keeps me cool all night and lets me sleep through the night. If you're on the fence about buying one, I'd say you should do it!

I bought it in hopes my back would stop hurting. I've woken up with a huge knot behind my shoulder and sometimes I wake up feeling like my ribs are bruised. I called to ask to return it and they said you have to have it for a minimum of 21 days because thinks like what I'm experiencing are normal.

I was worried about buying a mattress on line but with the guarantee - why not? I have had three mattresses in the last ten years and have never been comfortable. I like firm support, so I was worried about soft the bed felt. But once you get in and settle down, you have great firm support/ First time in 10 years without morning lower back ache. Frankly, I have had the bed for since last week and don't want to get in the morning. Thank you

I saw the commercial (absolutely love that woman acting in it by the way and the humor) and was intrigued but hesitant, this was so different from my conventional mattress. After receiving my sample of the product I bought a seat cushion first to see if I liked it, it felt strange at first but comfortable, comfortable enough that I tried it out as a pillow (before actual pillow shipments), and I found I liked it even more for that purpose! That's when I decided to take the test and placed my order. I figured I might have a few sleep deprived nights to start out (and after carrying this king sized monster I really really hoped that I wouldn't have to lug this back out to the curb for pick up on day 100), but I slept like a baby on night one and now going into my second month of use I couldn't be happier to finally toss the old bed out!! I'm definitely not a tiny little guy and I basically sleep in the same spot (side sleeper), or close to it every night and you'd never know it. I might have to start locking my door so none of the younger bears in the house try to use it when I'm not around...lol. I also bought the pillow and absolutely love that as well!! Great job Purple, so what's next? :) Oh and by the way the customer service has been excellent so far also! Sweet dreams from Streamwood, Illinois...

Been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks and so far it's been extremely comfortable. I've only had a few moments of slight back pain but when I've flipped to a new position it's gone away and I wake up with no aches or pains. There isn't much motion transfer and it sleeps cool.

I really, really wanted to love this bed. It is just not comfortable, both of us toss and turn every night and wake up absolutely exhausted. We purchased almost a year ago, coming from a worn-out innerspring. We kept the Purple because it was better than our sagging previous bed (ex. instead of taking 2 hours to fall asleep every night, it only takes 1). If you are a side sleeper, read A LOT of reviews and make sure this would be right for you. For comparison, we are 25 years old, 150-200 pounds with no medical considerations. First, there is the break-in period. This lasted almost 3 weeks for us. It felt like we had been in a car crash for the first week; we had soreness and aches all over from adjusting to the mattress. (By the way, DO NOT make the mistake of rotating the mattress once it is broken in =) ). Since that was to be expected per the website, we powered through and got to feeling less sore every day, though my shoulder sockets still crack every morning getting out of bed. It took going on vacation for a week to realize how sore and sleep-deprived we are on an every day basis since getting the Purple mattress. It somehow simultaneously feels not supportive enough, while not relieving pressure points enough, though the feel of the bed is on the firmer side. I would recommend that everyone take the Purple 30-day challenge seriously since it is such a unique material. Stay somewhere known for good bedding, like a Doubletree or Hilton hotel, to compare it to the Purple after the break-in period. I think this would be a great mattress for back sleepers who do not like innerspring or foam. But if you have ever been a diehard innerspring/foam/hybrid person, this may not be right for you. We will be going back to innerspring. However, we LOVE other Purple products, such as the platform base and the stretchy sheets, and will continue using them for other bedding.

First off a bed I can finally sleep in comfortably! I have a broken lumbar spine along with Hip Dysplasia and dont sleep much from pain or only being able to lay in one spot for so long. I've also been blessed with Insomnia that only perscription medication treats (this has been for 24 years) then I bought a purple mattress. I've never napped naturally in my life let alone gotten 8 hours natural sleep and this mattress let's me nap naturally but also I'm taking less of my sleeping medication and getting more natural healthy sleep. I'm also able to sleep and just cuddle for hours with no pain. My husband and I are such big fans we both had to get our own purple pillows, purple sheets, purple blankets and a purple pet bed. We're Purple Fans for Life! 10/10 Best Mattress I've ever had period.

I've only had the mattress for about a month but I am so far happy with my purchase. One can feel the grid material underneath, but it's not bothersome. I feel like I'm laying on air. My significant other has body pains to which he says he is now sleeping better throughout the night.
