When I ordered the purple mattress I was beyond excited, since I had my last mattress over a decade. I have had my mattress now a little over a month and a half. When you receive the mattress it states that your body might need to adjust. Since I have received the bed I have awakened with back pain and shoulder pain and I am on 36yrs old. I purchased the original Purple mattress. The bed is not cooling. I also was sold the harmony pillow locally but was not informed that there were certain heights for certain body types. I am more athletic and the pillow was more for a heavier set person. Also, the pillow isn't cooling either unless you're always flipping it over. I tried to return but with the pandemic that's not happening. I just feel disappointed I thought this bed was going to be the one. I just wake up more sweaty and hurt. Unsure what to do!!!!

I bought 1 6 years ago. Bought 2 more last week, I figure my child and inlaws and or guests deserve it as well. Thanks you purple for making a mattress that doesn't suck like every mattress I've ever owned. Now I don't ever really have to think about my bed anymore as a problem. It's truly a place to sleep.

I purchased the Purple Mattress after months of research and debate. My slow process was due to the hesitation of buying a mattress without knowing if I would like it or not. I am SO GLAD that I bought my Purple! This mattress is more firm than my former plush mattress, but it honestly is not an issue. I like plush, comfy mattresses where you feel like you're sinking into a cloud, but often find they lack support. My Purple gives me the right amount of cloud feeling with the perfect amount of support. It works for both side and back sleeping (no idea about stomach sleeping). This bed has honestly made it hard to get out of bed every day because of how lovely it is. I will absolutely purchase another mattress from Purple and highly recommend it!

I have been involved in the mattress industry for over 30 years and have had experience with many different mattress designs. This bed is different than any other product that is available today. I have now been sleeping on my Purple bed for two weeks and I am very happy with the feel and performance. I am looking forward to many more years of great sleep using this product.

We bought the purple mattress original with the thought that it would hold up to it's advertisement of supports you without causing pain on your pressure points. For my husband it works barely better than our old mattress of ten years for me it was not as advertised. I went through a pregnancy soon after buying it and I ended up with better sleep on the old mattress if I wanted any sleep at all. Now that I have had the baby and with hope that it was just the pregnancy that was causing all the ill effects because women's bodies are weird like that, but nope. I wake up every hour switching sides (side sleeper) with my thigh to my knee completely numb if I go over a hour of sleep and my shoulder in pain; pins and needles stabbing me when I try to go back to sleep only to do it all over again a hour or so later. I do have to try to sleep on my back every so often just to give my sides a rest so I will be able to move in the morning with out hobbling for the first hour or so, but then my neck is killing me in the morning. Overall I think it would have been better to go with a different mattress as this one doesn't hold up to what it advertised and is not very comfortable. If you try it and decide it might just be you and you will get used to it, I suggest returning it before the 100 days are up.

Now, this is a nice mattress and all, I love how it feels. But it changed my life in another way. My wife has terrible sleep apnea, and I'm no scientist but sleeping on this mattress has nearly eliminated her apnea. I have slept this good since before I got married. Thank you Purple!

I'm completely in love with my purple hybrid premier 3. I was concerned when I read other reviews that it was firm so I was scared it wohld be to firm for me but no, not to soft and not to firm. It's perfect! They said to wait a week or so for your body to adjust but from day one I had very good sleep. I love my bed. I'm a Purple customer for life. I thought It's a little pricey but the good night sleep is worth it for me.

There are tons of Pros for this mattress but likewise for me at the very least there are alot of Cons. First off I would like to say that this is just my experience and that this mattress may be perfect for you but given my existing medical issues (Bradychardia, Circulation issues, Rheumatism, Muscular disorder, Asthma, GERD, are my conditions) I am having to work very hard to make this "work" for me and that everyone I talked t through the buying experience has been more than awesome. One of the best things about the mattress is that it did not smell in the least bit when I opened. It. This is my first mattress that contains memory foam and I have been holding off on buying one because all of the mattresses (aside from this one) that I have seen stink to high heaven. This one does not smell although opening the item was a chore given the video said to use the cutter provided so that it would not cut the mattress but it did not come with one so I had to have a couple of people come to my house to help me pull it out of the sleeve and gently try to cut it out of the wrapping. This did not go well. It does tend to conform around the hip and back area really well which is both good and bad. Your torso naturally is heavier than your legs and a lot of the weight is centered around your hips but I noticed that when I lay my head seems to be "downhill". My feet are higher than my head while I am laid on my back (this is that whole torso heavier than your legs thing). So I had to use pillows to prop my head up high including the purple pillow which left my head at a funny angle almost chin to chest which really hurt my neck just to keep that strange hanging upside down feeling from coming on. As an example, imagine laying head down on a playground slide for a little while. Now, I would like to not that I am a larger guy I am 6 ft 250 lbs so this issue may not even be an issue for lighter people. Now, on that same note when your feet are now higher than your heart and you have heart issues, circulation issue, rheumatism, and muscular issues or just any of the above it may cause issues with swelling in feet or at least it did for me because your legs will not sink in and will be higher than your heart. Another issue along the same lines was the fact that stomach acid had made its way to my throat from the "downhill" style laying. The last issue was trying to get up. After about 3 hrs of trying to sleep I finally got up and went to lay on the couch which was not alot better but helped. The only issue was now having been nice and cushioned by the mattress it was very difficult for me to get up. You really have a muscular workout trying to get up and add that with my already existing arthritis and it was a task. Now, I would like to mention that a lot of these issues could be solved if you had the reclining base for the bed. I really love the people at Purple I think the mattress is absolutely great for most others I just wanted to give you my impressions that I feel may be important for people who have certain disorders or problems and I am sure alot of these problems are existent on other memory foam mattresses that are far inferior to this one. I hope this does help and if you have any questions I would just ask the sales team they are very nice. As for me I wished I had, had a place to store my old inner spring mattress and had not tossed it when I sat this one up but there was no where to put it. As for what is next, I am not sure I may try to buy a wedge to keep my torso higher and see if sleeping closer to the edge will help me get up if not I am not sure what I will do.

Actually, I'm glad I purchased a Purple -- I was debating between Purple, T&N and Casper, but I went with the online reviews recommending Purple for "curvy" side sleepers. It's actually been good so far (< 1 month use). Helped immensely with the backaches, but waist and hip support feels a bit fimer than against the rest of the body (again, maybe it's because that's where the curves are fuller). Also, as a side sleeper who prefers one side of the bed over the other (even on a twin -- I can't sleep in the center), it feels like the side that's not used more often seems to "hill" or "bunch up" for lack of a better term -- basically my side accommodates my shape but the other rises higher. Not that drastically, though -- a few rolls (yes, just regular rolling over -- alone) on the unused side does a good enough job to even out the bed again, for the most part. At any rate, I'm pretty pleased with the Purple twin mattress; though not taking away anything from it being greatly comfortable, any new mattress without springs poking out after over a decade of use was a 1000% improvement. I would be happy to recommend Purple to anyone who is looking for a similar type of mattress/support.

I love the good nights sleep that I get. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing the sheets that go with it. They really make a difference. The bed frame was super easy to put together. I would only change two things, imho.... First, send the order together so the items all come on the same day. I HATE waiting. Second, roll the mattress so that it unrolls on top of the bed frame the right way. Once the mattress is set free from the plastic, it's a MONSTER to try and flip over!!! With that said, on a lighter note... The purple substance that the mattress is made with reminded me of a toy that my kids had several decades ago. It was a ball that had many tentacles dangling from it and they would throw it against the wall. It would stick and slowly "crawl" down the wall. So, I took the sample I received, and threw it against the wall, and it did stick! I thought I recognized it! HA!
