We have needed a new mattress for a while, but always waited because we weren't sure what to get. We had been looking at purple and had a chance to sleep on one in a vacation rental and we were hooked! We have ours now and it is wonderful! We love it!

When we first got the Purple it was awesome- I would actually giggle when getting in bed because it was bouncy and super comfortable. Best sleep ever for the first month. We bought the new purple mattress (not the original) hoping that with the separate springs we have the extra support needed. I am 5'4 and under 150, in less than 6 months the "bounce" on my side is all but non-existent. It feels like very other mattress and a bit worse. Right now I am tossing and turning because of lower back pain, I switch to my side but have hip pain; it feels like I am completely out of alignment now. Sadly we are out of the 100 day trial so now we are stuck with a very expensive king size mattress that uncomfortable. 100 days is not enough to have an honest break in period, its just enough to get stuck with the mattress. :(

We were excited to try the Purple mattress after seeing all the publicity on Facebook and reading other reviews. We have tried several mattresses in the last few years trying to get a good one since my husband has a bad back. After sleeping on it for over 100 days now we are a little unsure if we love the purple mattress. In some ways it is better and in other ways it is really not much batter than the others we have tried. My husband says he gets a better nights sleep but I find that my back is hurting when it is time to wake up and my arms get the numbing sensation that wakes me up in the night. So, my husband likes it for the most part and I am not really sure. To be honest, I was hoping for something a little better. We have not tried the Purple platform, or mattress protector or sheets and are unsure if spending the money on those items would improve the sleep we have been getting.

For me it took a few nights to get used to the feel of the mattress. I've had waterbed, sleep number, pillow top, ...This is the one bed I've owned that has the perfect amount of support and comfort at the same time. The bonus is it stays cool/ neutral.

We ordered the King Size and it had a low spot on the right side. Purple replaced it, but the new one has a high spot in the middle. Wife complains of back pain every morning. She weighs 125lbs and I weigh 210. I'm a side sleeper and I wake up with my side hurting. Maybe we are just unlucky.

This mattress will change your life. It's soft, it's supportive, it's cool, it's the best mattress I've ever laid on. My old dog has weak joints and she loves it too, and even better for me, I can't feel her moving around in the middle of the night because there is seriously NO motion transfer. Totally in love

I think I may have already written a review when we first got the mattress, but I wanted to write one now that I am 8 1/2 months pregnant. Our previous mattress was an extremely firm organic futon mattress (at my husband's request) that had no give whatsoever. It was so painful to sleep on during my first pregnancy that my hips and shoulders constantly hurt and I had to resort to sleeping on the couch in the final month. This summer I had had enough of our unsupportive mattress and we got a Purple. The company was correct in that it takes a few nights to a few weeks for your body to adjust to a new type of mattress, but once mine did, I started sleeping much better. Then I got pregnant again, and after 8.5 months of sleeping on the Purple mattress, I have not had any hip or shoulder pains in bed. It has been incredibly supportive, and a good blend between soft and firm (you still get a little sink when you get in bed), and has made this pregnancy much more tolerable. I highly recommend this mattress.

We have been sleeping on ours for about a month now and I have never experienced a comfier mattress. I have awful lower back and hip pain and usually toss and turn all night, but with this mattress I have not. If you are questioning purchasing it, don't...you won't regret it after the first night. Just make sure to follow their advice about types of sheets to use! :)

We were in the market for a new mattress. My husband has recently lost 140 pounds and I've lost 40. Our old mattress had a "hole" in it where we used to sleep and we were falling into the hole every night. My daughter suggested Purple because she had seen the cute ad. So, I watched the ad and became curious. I then did some research and found some reviews of Purple. The more I looked, the more interested I became. We decided that we had nothing to lose because of the fabulous 90-day guarantee. If we didn't like it, then we'd give it back. Easy. It was very easy to set up (though a bit heavy to haul up the stairs!!). It was ready for sleep within minutes. That part was very easy. The first night, I didn't sleep too well because I felt like I was in somebody else's bed! However, within a week, I knew I was in love. Here are the main reasons I love Purple: 1. When my husband gets up in the night and sits on the side of the bed doing all of his stretching and scratching, I don't even notice. It used to feel like a minor earthquake and now I don't even know he has gotten out of bed! 2. I'm no longer having to take Advil before bed every night for my hips. In fact, I've only taken Advil once since getting the mattress and it had to do with a strenuous yoga class and had nothing to do with sleeping! 3. I can sleep next to my husband without rolling onto my husband. We can lay side by side without creating a hole the other has to fall into. 4. I don't wake up every time I roll over. It used to be a process. I had to grab the side of the mattress and drag my body into a new position. Now, either I'm not moving or not waking when I do! 5. I can sleep on my stomach! I'm not a stomach sleeper, but I tried it the other night and I was comfortable. Amazing! I give Purple five stars out of five stars.

I had been sleeping on a memory foam bed for five years and this last year I have had tremendous back pain and could not figure out why. I had lost over 80lbs during that year putting me in a healthy BMI range- my back should be better, not worse. Being a bariatric patient I could no longer take NSAIDs to keep the inflammation down so my doctor had me start taking tramadol for the pain which let me sleep for about 4 hours a night. Not wanting to be dependent on tramadol, I went to a physical therapist who said my body was strong and flexible (I'm 39) but my lower back was incredibly stiff and he could not determine the cause. Then I went to an acupuncturist every few weeks to release the stiff muscles in my lower back but that would only last for a few days and then back to pain so intense I could only sleep 2-3 hours at a time. My last resort was getting a new bed and I decided to give Purple a try. I am so glad I did. The relief was immediate. I could sleep for four hours without the tramadol and even when I work from slight pain and stiffness all I need to do is change positions and I fall back asleep, something next to impossible before. It was a bit scary buying a mattress without every getting to try it out but the Purple team assured me that if it didn't work out, I could return it free of charge. So happy I gave this company a shot.
