Side sleeper here... Shoulder pain was awful for years. Switching sides every hour became normal. Tried several different types of mattresses with no luck. Then I saw that awesome video of the blonde girl dropping eggs on a mattress under a sheet of glass. Bought it, Love it. Doesn't break the egg, doesn't break my shoulders, doesn't break your wallet. Booya. I appreciate you passionate purple people putting pain in the past! Eric

I LOVE it !!!! Before Purple , I would roll all night. I guess that is a good way to burn calories , but very stiff in the morning. Now I can fall asleep and wake up in the same spot. I don`t roll because I have no pressure points. I keep our room very cold. It stays at your room temp. I did put a thin mattress pad with the heat on low on it. I turn it off when I go to bed. I really do love it !

It's shipped fast and mattress sleeps great. Mattress cover already saved the mattress from an entire glass of red wine!! Great idea to purchase one if you don't have it already. Only negative is the Base, I assume it was a little damaged in the shipping process. Part of it was bent and did not line up. I didn't try sending it back, nothing a hammer couldn't fix. Now that I've slept on the mattress for over a week I love it and I believe it is one heck of an upgrade to a standard memory foam!

If you are mattress shopping and considering the Purple, then I'd give it the thumbs up. With the right pillows and a little adjustment time I found that I now can say I like the purple. It was an adjustment for me at first getting used to the more supportive / firm mattress style (especially when I had the wrong head support / pillows), but if you give it a chance and get the right pillows I think you will love this mattress. I do sleep well, and actually find myself enjoying sleeping on my back more now because of how supported I feel (I never had that with my old mattress).

Like they say, give it time to let your body adjust to it. My lower back was actually hurting a few days, but it was after years of sleeping on such a bad mattress that my body needed to adjust to the Purple mattress. After the first initial "uncomfortable" days, I've never slept better and it actually felt like sleeping on a firm cloud. Bed also sleeps cool and I also have the Purple sheets which prevent sheets from becoming undone/moving around. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and have the Purple pillow on the way to have the complete package of a great nights sleep for years to come.

I was hesitant about having a bed, base and headboard shipped to me, but it was worth it. My old bed was so bad I had to make the decision for change. I did a lot of research on the "foam" like beds and purple beat everyone out with what I was looking for. Cooling, comfort, firmness. I have been in the bed for 3 weeks now and my back thanks me. Also, the base and headboard setup were so easy to do. Loving this bed.

It took my husband and I about a week or so to get used to the mattress. Now that we have, both of us have never slept better! We both wake up feeling refreshed, as opposed to our old mattress where we'd wake up throughout the night and feel sore and stiff in the morning. We highly recommend this mattress!

The feel is unique, but totally comfortable. I look forward to going to bed more than ever now. I love the way it feels and it is definitely a cooler mattress than any memory foam mattress could ever hope to be. I would probably enjoy the 3inch version of the purple mattress, but I'm not made of money.

We tried this mattress and the nest alexander hybrid series. Both were very comfortable, but this one slept so much cooler. I usually always sleep hot, and I have not sweated once since purchasing this mattress! It's more on the medium-firm side of things, but I am also 5'3'' 108 lbs, which likely means most mattresses will feel firm to me. Overall, I am satisfied.

Absolutely the best thing we've ever done for ourselves....purchasing a Purple Mattress. It took a month to get use to the "feel" of the mattress. We found it "weirdly" comfortable at first. But now....we sleep like rocks and wake with no pain. That's the key friends, no pain. And this mattress delivers that! We will never sleep on anything other then our Purple. Nicole Howton
