This is by far the best sleep I have gotten in my entire life. My back and beck pain have virtually disappeared. I wake up more rested and rarely wake up during the night any more. The only negative thing I have to say is that this mattress has ruined my ability to sleep in any other bed, but its worth the sacrafice.

I was sleeping on a rock hard mattress with a foam topper. It was starting to hurt my shoulders. The purple matress was "love at first sleep" with me, as the company describes some of their customer's experience. I bought the protector 1 week later and will probably buy the pillow eventually.

My wife and I were shopping for a new mattress and after being burned too many times by traditional mattress stores we knew we wanted to try an internet mattress. After doing our research I fell in love with the Purple design and convinced my wife this was the one we should try... After an honest wait of 3.5 weeks for our king size purple mattress, sheets, and mattress protector, I must admit the first night was a disaster. Both my wife and I tossed and turned all night, we were hot/cold, and overall when we woke up both of us agreed it wasn't for us. My wife convinced me that we should give it two weeks to see if we would adjust. We are at the 3-week mark now and we both agree that we are sleeping better now then we ever did. The sheets are the real MVP of the package though, I have never felt anything so soft on a bed. Even so much so we already ordered a second set. While the mattress does take a serious adjustment period, if you see it though, there's no doubt you settle into deep sleeps night after night. The reason for the "4-star" review, is the mattress protector. I am sorry to say this just wasn't for us. We wanted to love the whole package all together, and if we just bought the mattress and the sheets, this would have been a Grand Slam. When you throw the mattress protector in the mix, the package turns into just a two-run homer. The protector is a little odd, just enough wind breaker material to convince you there's a liquid barrier but a very weird feeling when paired with those wonderful sheets. Bottom line is we brag about our Purple mattress every chance we get ~ weddings/parties/at work. In a short 3-weeks, it has changed the way I sleep. The sheets are second to none, even if you aren't looking for a mattress, if you want to get an idea of what kind of company Purple is, order the sheets. I will continue to recommend the Purple to any and all who speak with me about it.

Just as most things aren't better covered in hair, so most things aren't better when they're too tight. Such is the case with the Purple mattress cover on my queen size Purple mattress. When I first unwrapped the mattress I felt softness, but barely a trace of an anglular grid of polymer underneath. After I put the cover on it mushed down the softness and now I can feel the grid. It's still a great bed and I sleep so hard on it. I just wish the mattress cover was an actual queen size instead of a full/queen. Would you give your Dad a one-size-too-small turtle neck?

Here is an honest review from my point of view. From day 1 my husband LOVED the bed. We had to have it on the floor for the first couple week while we waited for the base to come in. The 1st few night were rough for me, I am not sure if it was the bed itself or the fact I new I was close to the ground and that was weird. I finally got used to it and loved it. Then the base came in... so now I am not on the floor anymore I am pretty high up actually (great storage space under the bed) and the bed just feels different to me again. So I am back to the getting used to it stage. I know it will happen. My husband still loves it and so do my kids when they try and take over our bed. I am very happy we chose the Purple Mattress. My advice to other people is don't say you hate it right away, give it time, don't think about not liking it, just prepare yourself for a good night sleep, clear your head and sleep! I rated it 5 stars because I know it is a good mattress and my body will adjust. (it's almost there)

After spending fifteen years sleeping on a very soft pillow-top mattress, the Purple mattress has been a pretty drastic change. After a few weeks, my wife and I are not yet blown away by the Purple mattress. While feel like it cradles and supports well, we miss the soft feel of our previous bed.

I have had The Purple Mattress for 3 weeks now it hasn't been bad sleep just waiting for the body adjustment to kick in the first week was awful but I knew there would be some adjustments so 3 more weeks and I will know for sure if this bed is for me

It's a pretty comfortable mattress. Personally, I prefer the temperpedic that I had before, because it seemed more supportive and I don't like that the Purple mattress transfers motion. However, the cooling nature of the Purple is amazing and that's one of my husbands biggest complaints at night. I think I am just very picky and the best is definitely comfortable. If you have skin that reddens easily with touch, you will likely wake up with your entire back covered in a waffle pattern (my husband does every morning) but it's kind of hilarious and obviously not harmful. I personally wouldn't buy this mattress again but I think it's fine depending on they type of sleeper you are.

Purple sent me an email asking to do a review. I was laying in our new Purple bed next to my wife and asked her if she would give it 5 stars. She responded that she would give it 10 stars and I couldn't agree more! Finally sleeping cool and comfortable all night long once we ditched our old memory foam mattress for the Purple! The platform base is also a must buy! It's the perfect height and is very well built! I would recommend the mattress and base to anyone! Best nights sleep in years!

I have never slept more soundly, for a longer period since I was in my 20's. I have chronic back pain and fibro. I've had difficulty for years sleeping. I've tried all types of mattresses from memory foam to conventional. This is a game changer in my life. I was able to try this at my daughter's house and knew of be getting on immediately. Thank you for a wonderful product. I also adore your pillows. Perfect fit and I don't wake up with a sore neck or head ache like other pillows.
