My husband and I tried Purple first. After 10 years of sleeping on a "popular memory-foam mattress" that was sagging because we were given the wrong base (didn't know it at the time!), we were finally tired of being tired and sore. I was on prescription meds just trying to sleep, and often it didn't even work! We researched and went with Purple! Now I get DRUG FREE, deep sleep and we rarely have the pain problems we had before. We loved ours so much, when it came time to get my daughter a new bed, we bought her a Purple, too! She loves it! She is a busy student that loses a lot of sleep, but lately she seems to be more inclined to get to bed early when she has the chance! We love Purple and will definitely look to purchase again when the need arises!

I am so so so happy to have my Purple mattress!! With my previous mattress, I would wake up with so much back pain and was just overall so achy! With the Purple, I have ZERO pain!! I was starting to think that wasn't a possibility... The reason I say "So good, it's bad!" is because my husband has always been an early riser. Even if he was very tired, he could not sleep in past 9am. With this mattress, he is sleeping in until noon!! lol. We are very rested these days. Although the mattress was out of our price range, we steadily saved for what felt like forever until we were able to get it. And it was absolutely worth it!!!!! My ONLY complaint is that it is unbelievably heavy! Not that I'm going to be carrying it around or moving anytime soon. But boy, is it heavy! But I wouldn't choose a different mattress. Wonderful! It really does measure up. We were putting off spending the money but my hip pain became so bad, I knew SOMETHING needed to change. Knowing someone who has a Purple of their own, they swore by it, so we wanted to try. No regrets at all! Within the first week my hip pain decreased and we were sleeping better. Hip pain is still around after a couple months but very notable decreased, which is really more than I could have asked or hoped for- I can even sleep on my bad hip again which I wasn't able to do for months and months. My partner also loves it and sleeps far better, always saying how awesome the new bed is. As well as sleeping, lounging in bed is finally tolerable and not painful. Sitting on our old mattress used to hurt instantly and now on my Purple I can be comfortable for hours. This is our genuine experience, no incentive to write this but I just seriously recommend a Purple for anyone who was in similar daily and nightly pain from their hip.

I bought your mattresses primarily because they were rated high on their edges. I am using them for daybeds so they are used more for sitting than sleeping. So far so good. I have slept on them to see it they are comfortable and they are great. Mattresses are usually great in the beginning. Ask me in a year.

It took me about a month to get used to this mattress because my old one that I had for the past 6 years was very saggy and this 1 is firm. Now it is the best mattress I have ever had. Thank you Purple for giving me my sleep back and not being in pain every morning.

Purple is soft, yet firm; Firm yet, soft. Some nights it feels very soft and comfortable; other nights it too feels firm and uncomfortable. It usually feels soft under my torso, shoulders and bottom - those body parts are heavy enough to sink in to the purple grid and there is little pressure there. Lighter parts of the body: lower legs and arms feel like they almost float on top of the mattress and get no benefit from the purple grid - the "arm floating" somewhat uncomfortable. Also, the firmness/floating feeling extends to the head, so the pillows that worked on your last bed don't feel the same on a purple. I've bought three different types of pillows since buying the purple trying to get it right. I find myself using the multiple pillows to prop up my hands/forearms at night since it feels like my elbows are hyperextending given that my torso sinks into the bed and my arms to not. I've often thought to myself that the body can likely adjust to anything in 30 days (i.e. I could adjust and train my body to sleep on a bare floor in 30 nights) and that is why purple makes you sleep on it for at least 30 nights before returning it. Perhaps the research purple did was on human psychology and the reaction to an alteration of body mechanics rather than mattress technology. Who knows. Either way, it is not our forever bed. We are taking advantage of the donation/recycle option, which purple has made incredibly easy. Customer service has been awesome.

I was so excited for this mattress and wow, what a letdown! Hardly slept. My hip & shoulders were so uncomfortable and sore. Every time my husband rolled over I almost fell out of bed. We got up and went to a local mattress store and bought a mattress that we could sleep on. Purple is not our mattress.

Honestly, it took a couple of weeks to adjust to the Purple Mattress, as I had slept on my old mattress over 15 years. My back was a bit stiff in the morning when I woke up. Now, however, I can't wait to snuggle in for a great night's sleep! Make sure to give yourself time to adjust - it's well worth the time.

I can honestly say this is the best mattress I have ever experienced and owned. I have been getting the best sleep of my life. I no longer toss and turn. All my lower back pain has disappeared as well. After about a week a family member of mine had to order one for themselves.

Before purchasing the purple mattress I had a memory foam mattress which I found very comfortable firmness-wise, but it slept very hot. My husband has back issues and was hoping to find relief with the purple mattress. Unfortunately after sleeping on it for a month he is in terrible and excruciating pain. We kept our old mattress and moved it to the guest room and he has actually slept in the guest room for the last two nights on our old mattress and his back has improved. I have had terrible numbness and pins and and needles in my limbs since sleeping on the purple mattress. I am a stomach sleeper and I've never had this problem before with our old mattress. I am so exhausted because I have been waking up in the middle of the night every night with numbness in one or both arms. I woke up at 6 am today with my arm completely numb. I couldn't even move it. After shaking it out I attempted to go back to sleep, but could not because every time I did my arm would start going numb again. The only positive thing I can say is that it sleeps much cooler than my old mattress.
