This mattress did not work out for us. I purchased the original model and while it was a lot softer than other box in a bed brands that we tried, I am waking up with back pain. I called and spoke to customer service about trying one of the newer mattresses since the 3 is supposed to be better for side sleepers but they advised me I could not get the free trial since I already bought one of their mattresses. It is too much to spend on a mattress without first trying it out and being able to return it if it does not work out. I don't really understand that policy since they sell two different kinds of mattresses but it is what it is. Guess I will have to go to a local competitor for my new mattress now.

Cons: Bed cover came out the packaging with a finger-sized hole in it. Odd smell at first, dissipated over a few days. Pros: Definitely doesn't get hot. Overall good support for most positions. Good bounce and stability (for sex as well). Final note: Its not the perfect bed for everyone, but at the least, a great choice for everyone. Some may want something geared towards their needs instead.

My husband was not thrilled at me ordering a mattress online. I tease him calling him princess and the pea when it comes to sleeping. Had a temper pedic looked at a new temper pedic split king could not get over the price. What got my attention was their funny videos and a friend had a Purple mattress. Did my research and I felt I was making the best decision for what we needed and wanted. My husband had neck surgery 3 artificial disks in his neck. If he does not get the support he needs he suffers for days. Easy set up we got split king, power base, pillows, mattress protector and sheets. After the second night my husband told me this is one of the best purchases I have ever made worth the money. Had our last mattress for 10 years. Once we got the new bed I did not realize had bad I was sleeping. I wake up with no aches and feel refreshed. I am telling all my friends if you need a new mattress check out Purple. We purchased the king size Purple and the Purple base, but not before a bit of hesitation, which in hindsight, is almost laughable. As everyone knows, mattresses are an investment. You want the item that you spend roughly a third of your life on to be good for your body, but also good for your pocketbook. As a general rule, you get what you pay for. The exception to that rule is Purple. We decided that even though it was on the more affordable end of the king size bed spectrum, we'd give it a try. I mean, there's a 100 night trial. What's the worst that could happen? We hate it and send it back and get a refund? Sounded like a win to me. We purchased the mattress through Affirm financing which I think is the quickest and easiest way I've ever been financed for anything in my life, and it arrived in about 3 days. After assembling the Purple base, which took maybe 15-20 minutes (this thing holds 1000 lbs??? Really?!), we unwrapped and unrolled the mattress onto it. Sheets went on along with the pillows and the comforter and after that, it was like a race to get to bed to test it out. The first night was...interesting. My body had been so used to sleeping on mid-density memory foam which I simply sunk into, that the Purple felt too hard at first. I woke up the first morning with a sore back. "No," I thought. "This can't be right. This thing was advertised so well! Spoken of so highly!" I reached out to a few friends that I knew had purchased a Purple recently as well for a bit of reassurance that my sweet dreams weren't destined to be a nightmare on my spine. Their advice? It's worth it. Wait it out. Give it a few weeks. I resigned to not feeling totally crestfallen and decided to give it, at minimum, a 60 day trial. It's been three weeks, and I'll admit, my body is still getting used to it. I still wake up in the morning and have to stretch a bit to shake off a touch of soreness, but I've noticed something... I haven't woken up in the middle of the night in three weeks. I haven't struggled to fall asleep or find a comfortable position. I haven't been groggy in the morning. I haven't kicked the covers off in the middle of the night even though the weather has gotten warmer. This mattress is doing exactly what it advertised. It's aligning my spine. It's cradling my pressure points and supporting my lower back, the way my spine is SUPPOSED to curve. It's even making my posture better! So the soreness isn't from the mattress itself! It's from YEARS of sleeping on the wrong mattress and finally getting the RIGHT one. My body just isn't used to it yet! So as the title says. It's worth it. It's worth the money. It's worth the minimal wait. It's worth the slight discomfort for a couple weeks, because in the end, I know it's better for my body in the long run.

This mattress is the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I wake up with my arms, shoulders and my legs hurting with that asleep feeling. My back hurts everyday and I never feel rested. We have decided to return the mattress. The return experience has been timely. We returned a different mattress and it went much faster than this. It's ridiculous. You have to call and then wait on an email and respond to that and then wait up to 72 hours for a response and then respond and wait up to another 72 hours? I haven't had a great experience with purple at all. I'll be glad when this mattress is picked up and my money is returned.

I have extreme back, shoulder and neck pain (am 100% disabled) and although this bed doesn't get rid of it all, it does make sleeping comfortable! It has helped me sooooo much that I even bought my whole family purple beds. My parents and 3 other sisters have purple beds and they loved it. Honestly, idk how I would sleep without this bed. Again, not a miracle bed, but a bed that had helped me a lot and if it helps me and my disability, it could easily help minor back problems no cap

I was worried it would feel like the foam beds in all the wrong ways. I love the support and it doesn't feel like a sinking feeling when you lay down. It feels more like a sturdy sponge (a lot softer) it takes the impact of your body instantly. I can lay how I want to lay and not go numb because theres too much pressure.

Purple really amazed me by living up to the 5 star reviews I was reading everywhere and well here's mine! For the amount of sleep I'm getting, it's all about QUALITY over quantity! To tell you about my self I'm overweight and I've struggled with sleeping hot and waking up in the middle of the night. Not ONCE have i woken up due to heat, and my girlfriend who sleeps cold, well she doesn't have any issues either, this bed is truly tempature nutral. I work in the oilfield and I'm gone 14-20hrs a day for 21 days straight. When I come home I don't have to worry if I'm going to able to sleep or not, when I lay down, I honestly feel the stress and tiredness leave my body. When I wake up I'm ready for a new day . I was long overdue for a new bed and almost went a different route until a friend told me about Purple and I'm super happy I checked them out. I don't know what is in that magical Purple jelly but it has given me the best sleep of my life. I stay cozy and cool and paired with the Purple sheets, it's unbeatable. The Purple mattress has honestly been one of the best purchases of my life and I highly recommend it to anyone.

My old mattress was a hand-me-down what I usely got so I decided that I wanted to buy a bed of my own. At first I didn't know about purple and I was looking at cheaper options that I could afford but then I came across your ad on Facebook and glad I did it was not the cheaper option but it was something I thought I need a good long lasting comfortable bed. After some time saving up I finally bought the bed, and now I sleep better more comfortable. Also I noticed I actually was dreaming much more often than on my old bed where I only dream once and a great while. I thank you guys so much for making a great and amazing bed makes my life 100% better. I would definitely recommend it. People always ask about weight how it affects you in the bed so I weigh 125 pounds hope this review helps :D
