I’ve had cats my entire life and have always fed them this particular brand/type of cat food. I’ve never had issues with them not wanting to eat the product. It also stores easily in a large plastic tub. Most of our cats have stayed fit on this formula. Occasionally, one might over eat and the food ends up out and on the floor but that is rare.

As a cat owner, I'm constantly grooming my cats and feeding them hairball remedies to prevent hairball surprises. So far, the furry felines have taken to their new diet with aplomb. They come running when the food hits the dish and they even enjoy having a few pieces for afternoon treats. I really appreciated the detailed instructions Iams offered for transitioning to the new food because one of my kitties doesn't take well to change, but my four-legged flock seems happy to eat their new regimen. Since they've adapted to their new food, I've stopped treating them with hairball remedies (other than grooming their fur) and thus far am ecstatic that they have not left any hairballs behind for me to find! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is about 5 years old, and while she doesn't suffer from hairballs much, she has put on some weight in the last 2 years. Recently, a friend came over and commented she looked "round". So I was very excited to try the Iams ProActive Weight & Hairball care cat food to see if she could lose some weight. She made the transition from her old food no problem, she seemed to like the flavor (chicken). The pieces are small and round, so they are easy to eat. The bag comes with a simple chart that provides the recommended amount of food to feed your cat if the goal is to maintain or lose weight. So far my cat seems to enjoy the food and has had no problems eating the recommended amount (she doesn't stare sadly at her empty bowl the way she would in the past when I tried to put her on a "diet"). I am taking her to the vet in about 3 months to see if she has managed to lose any weight, but I am hopeful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was already feeding my kitties Iams original flavor adult cat food, and when I switched them over to the indoor weight control formula, they literally cry out to be fed in the morning. They both really enjoy the flavor, as show by the empty bowls every morning! The size of the food is great too, not too big, but not too small either. I will definitely continue to feed it to them after our sample bag is gone. Well Done Iams, Well Done!

This cat food has small little pieces which is great instead of large chunks. This cat food is on the expensive side but it’s great because it’s healthier and you get a great amount of food for the price.

I love that it’s weight and hairball care, it makes me feel better about feeding it to my cats. It is more expensive but if the claims are true it’s so worth it to me. I love that it’s a huge bag it’s lasted us a long time, and the cat on the front is adorable. Overall we’re loving this brand.

This food is a great balance between price and quality. It is easily accessible at most grocery and pet stores. It is decently priced and the quality of the food is pretty good. It’s not as good of quality as some of the more veterinary recommended brands (hills, Purina, royal canin), but it is more reasonably priced. My cat’s coat also looked nice on this food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three indoor cats, and they like Iams Indoor Cat food, and I've noticed a big difference in the amount of hairballs I was cleaning up, they don't happen very much anymore. They like the size of the kibble, and they haven't gained any weight eating this cat food, and it doesn't have a lot of fillers in it, which makes me feel better about feeding them this kibble. I haven't noticed any stomach issues since switching them over to it, and normally they're fairly finicky, so that says a lot.
