Flavor of olives

I have been ordering and using this brand of Olive Oil for a while from Walmart. It's my favorite. I was invited to a potluck dinner party and when I opened it, it had mold. I didn't even know Olive could get moldy. I knew it could smell rancid, but mold???? That was a new one for me. So I had to run out and buy another bottle of it, which was much more expensive. What on earth happened?

This isn't as smooth as they let on. It has that burning peppery flavor and I have grown very tired of that. I don't think I have EVER eaten an olive that tastes that way but the EVOO oils do? Just don't care for that anymore and while I am venting...I don't like the Balsamic vinegar either. Don't want sweet on my salad...

As I am trying to eat healthier, I tried Pompeian Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and I have been buying it and using it ever since. I use it when making hash browns and over-easy eggs for breakfast. I use it in baking crispy potatoes, sausage, peppers, and onions. Well, I use it for all my cooking. It does not change the flavor of even delicate eggs and is fine for higher heat cooking and sauteing.

After I finally got the cap off and spelled while doing it. The olive oil is excellent. Very smooth and light tasting. I am hesitant to buy this brand again because the cap it's hard to remove. There are so many excellent other brands to choose from.

This is the olive oil I always buy. It tastes great, but I have one complaint. I wish the company would start making better caps for the bottles. Every single time the caps are sealed, but after opening they will not tightly close. So, if they're knocked over that could pose a real problem. Oil all over and there goes $25.00. For as much money as they've increased this shouldn't be happening.

The pompeian oil I received is not pure it has been stepped on not sure what type of oil it is mixed with but it doesn’t get cloudy or stiff when it is cooled to 36 degrees I know that real pure olive oil will jell at 41 degrees. The oil I bought from Italy is pure. So this pompeian oil is junk

This is one of the best olive oil, great product and priced. I enjoyed shopping online at Walmart.com I don't have to wait in long lines to check out. Shop from the privacy of my home and the groceries are delivered by FedEx or a Walmart delivery guy. Thank you Walmart, excellent services

No sense paying a lot more when this respected brand checks the necessary boxes. I put it in everything. I had ordered this, but WM was out of it, so they sent me a substitution. I could immediately tell the difference in the taste. I didn't like it nearly as much, so went ahead and picked up another bottle of Pompeian Smooth EVOO when I was in the store. Now I use the other brand for my chihuahua...she likes it if I rub her two Milk Bones with a bit of olive oil...but she's not getting any of my Pompeian (unless she asks).
