Just tasted like cake. Wasnt heavy and dense like i remember pound cake tasting like. It was dry and crumbly and i didnt tast a strong vanilla taste. It was a bland yellow or white cake mix in a loaf pan to me.

The loaf was overcooked and a little dry. Should also be a little sweeter.

Delicious. Served with strawberries and cream

This affordable pound cake was very good. We found it especially good toasted with a little butter on it with a cup of coffee.

This was dry, especially the ends and over cooked. The only way to make it tasty was with a strawberry topping.

I was looking forward to purchasing this pound cake. I love pound cake. The purchase of this item is so very disappointing. It is over baked. The edges all the way around are almost burnt. The cake is not a beautiful golden brown, it is dark brown. It is dry dry, dry! Until now I honestly have never had a complaint about any item in all the years I've been a member. I'm truly surprised that this cake made it to the sales table without anyone acknowledging that it's nearly burnt. I'm also surprised that the associate that shopped my order didn't notice that the cake was nearly burnt. Poor, poor quality control on several levels. So disappointing!

Fabulous bought poundcake! We buy them, open the box, put the cake in a plastic bag, put it back in the box put the box in a bag and put it in the freezer! Keeps very well. Makes for a great quick and easy dessert fabulous with strawberries and cream. Great even if it's old can be toasted with butter and under the broiler. Wonderful cubed with pudding poured over it and put in the fridge to set. Serve with half frozen peaches and cream, or hot fudge.

I recently returned home from Vanderbilt after two surgeries. My family and I wanted to celebrate so they bought this pound cake from Sam's. This is the worst cake., all three of us have ever had. The flavor was horrible. The crust was terrible. We all spit it out after taking a bite even with ice cream it could not be helped. I was very disappointed .The baked goods from Sam's are delicious, but this one was terrible and we threw it in the trash I normally bake everything and that is my last time like I baked goods from Sam's. I will make my own cake from now on. Do not recommend.
